This is the 3rd book in the series, but the first one I have read. It can be read well as a stand-alone as the main character in this story, I believe is a new one.

The French Farmhouse is owned by friends of Daisy, so when she decides it is time to move on and leave her comfy job and an embarrassing moment, the place she goes is to the Farmhouse.

The farmhouse is a wonderful sounding place, set up and run as a guesthouse by Poppy. The house is warm and welcoming and there are dogs. Now, as much as the humans in the story are easy to get along with, it's the antics of the dogs that amused me. Please don't think this book is all about the dogs, there is a lot more than them, but they do make a wonderful link between characters. And, the names are amazing, Flump, Peanut, and Pickle are just some of them!

Daisy is a fan of dogs and so it seems natural that when she is offered a job dig sitting and walking Anton's dogs. It is the boost she needs, it also helps that he is as yummy as his dogs are in Daisy's opinion.

I do like the characters of Daisy and Anton, the story does focus slightly more on Daisy, but a good amount is told about Anton. Both have been hurt but it's Daisy who is being more open, something she has previously tried to hide. Being more open allows Anton a chance to look at his own past, it is like she opens a doorway for him.

While neither wants to get involved, there is no ignoring the chemistry between them. The author does tease and tantalise with her characters and it leaves the reader wondering what will happen, will anything happen and of course, hoping things will happen!

This is the first time I have read anything by this author, and I really enjoyed this book. It's one for fans of romance, and contemporary fiction, it has chuckles and serious moments. I liked it and I would happily recommend it.

A light romantic read without much depth or originality. Some scene setting a at the start of the novel suggesting comic diversion at some point never really materialised and I’m not quite sure what to make of the dogs as characters in their own right. The English ex-Pat setting felt a bit cliched to me. A well-written book that will find its audience, but sadly not for me.

This book is very nicely written with a good story, a little bit of racy romance and some adorable dogs. Although this is number 3 in the series you do not need to read one and two to enjoy this story. A very vibrant setting and a bit of folklore to add to the interest.

A light holiday read with lovely descriptions of France. Probably not for readers who aren’t fond of dogs! A feel good book which won’t disappoint.

When Daisy's life in London implodes, she's more than happy to escape to her friend Poppy's inn in the French countryside. She needs a new job to try and restart her life. She's always loved her friends dogs so she starts a dog sitting business. She quickly becomes attached to Anton, a reclusive bookseller and his dogs. The problem is he's still grieving his late wife and not ready to start a relationship. Could her intuition that they're meant to be together be wrong?
This was a cute story and I loved all the crazy dog personalities. A couple scenes had me laughing out loud.

then meets Anton, bookshop owner, her first client as a dog walker. They have a lot in common too. and

romance. blossoms. A happy and uplifting book to enjoy.

This is a very light read which I can imagine reading on a hot summer day. The dogs in the book made me enjoy the book more. They were cute and funny. The romance was nice. I'm not sure yet if I'll read more of this author, since it was not a very original story. It were the dogs that made the plot stand out from heartbreak romances. The rest was pretty standard.

When Daisy sets up a dog sitting business whilst helping her friend in France, you are immediately engaged in the plot. Daisy needs to help and what better place than in France. An easy going read, in a beautiful setting with adorable characters. I haven't read book 1 or 2 but this did not impact my enjoyment.

It was a real pleasure to read this book. I am not a lover of France as a country but I think I may be changing my mind,. This was very well written and described making for a lovely summer read. 4 stars

Lorraine Wilson is a new author for me. Set in a beautiful location with relateable characters, a lovely heart-warming read.

Daisy runs to stay and work with her friend in the south of France after she feels she has to leave London. Bad choices of men and frustrating work environment. Overall a good story. Friends, plenty of dogs, and a handsome widower help establish a new sense of peace. Would recommend.

This is a perfect read for the summer. I hadn't realised this was book number 3 until after I had finished it. I'm tempted to read the other two but you don't need to, to enjoy it that's for sure! This story follows Daisy, unlucky in love and unsure of her future, embarking on an adventure in France.

I personally adore France, we travel every year and this book made me really excited for our up and coming trip. The story was great, I'm certain there will be a next in the series and I'll definitely be reading it!

Daisy has psychometric abilities that have left her open to bullying and judgement from others, even her parents. Only her grandmother, who shares her gift, is supportive, and she is on a spiritual retreat. Poppy and JoJo welcome Daisy, who settles into life at the guesthouse complex. Dreaming of a new life in France, Daisy starts a dog-walking and pet sitting service and meets Anton.

Daisy and Anton become friends, but the attraction between them is undeniable. Any possible romance is conflicted as Anton is bereaved, and Daisy is determined to guard her heart this time. The sensual romance is lyrically written and interwoven with emotion. It endears the couple to the reader and makes this an engaging read.

I also enjoyed the folklore and historical details that enrich the story, the vibrant setting, and the delightful antics of the many dogs—a romantic tale woven with emotion, history, magic and humour.

I loved how this story unfolded. Daisy's move from a comfortable life/job and flat to stay with friends at a French Farmhouse was a risk but one she wanted to do to escape a bad love life. Meeting with Anton through looking after his dogs turned out to be a real change in her life. A well written story of love and romance.

I’ve read and loved the previous books in this series, and I’ve loved this one too. The setting and way of life is something that I could get used to. It was lovely to meet the characters from past books and find out what’s happening in their lives.Daisy has a gift, which is a bit mystical and it was nice to see how she uses it and how other people feel about her having the gift.

I recommend this book.

Good book !! This book was definitely worth reading and took me overseas to another time and place.
