I found this book followed the standard romantic novel to a T. Heartbreak, move to new place, fall in love again. The only thing that made the book interesting was the dogs. They helped to add humour and add a fun twist to the story.

A lovely story set in a French village. Full of love, hope, dogs and a series of difficult communications.
Knowing the area well the history was fascinating and well researched.

Quick, easy read that was well written, had romance and well developed characters that were relatable. I loved the setting too.

A beautiful story but have to be honest two much too long sex scenes.and you have to be dog lover. Set in a beautiful part of France. Slightly disappointed .

How wonderful to be back with Poppy and JoJo and their herd of adorable dogs in the French countryside.

And we have a brand new main character to get to know and love, which is exactly what happens as I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know Daisy.

Especially as she has decided to set up as a dog sitter and dog walker, and as a result we meet some other equally adorable dogs, and my heart melted at the antics of all of our canine friends in this book.

Actually I think at times the dogs had more vibrancy and personality than the humans, which isn't necessarily a bad thing and the humans are good too!

Once again I'm impressed at how well Lorraine Wilson writes sex scenes, they are fantastic and along with her canines always are stand out parts of her books .

This is such an light and enjoyable book, and had me smiling throughout. I had a great time reading this.

Thank you to One More Chapter and Netgalley for this copy which I have reviewed honestly and voluntarily.

Who doesn’t like a lively romance written in the south France! Loved the scenery and the description of the place itself! A quick beach read.

When I got the invitation to read this book, I fell in love with the cover (it's so gorgeous!) and jumped at the chance to read the it without paying much attention to the plot. Romance-y kind of stuff in the French countryside? Sure! I hadn't realized that it's part of a series, but that didn't really matter--it was very easy for me to get into all aspects of the book. The writing was smooth and the pacing was just right for me and it was the perfect little vacation in a novel.

Keep in mind that there are *a lot* of dogs in this, so if you're not much of dog person, it might feel just a bit over the top. I'm not much of one myself, but I still found the book cute.

Thanks very much to HarperCollins UK/One More Chapter for inviting me to read this book in exchange for a review through NetGalley.

If you like France and love dogs, then this is the book for you! Fortunately, I am a big fan of both, so I really enjoyed Daisy's French Farmhouse.

I particularly appreciated the descriptions of the countryside in southern France and felt I was able to travel there in my armchair. The romantic storyline was also heartwarming. The book is full of cute dogs, which made it a particularly lovely and, in parts, funny novel!

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for an advance copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

An enjoyable light east read set in the South of France. Daisy is a likeable character who made me laugh at some of her well meaning ‘accidents’. It’s a story for dog lovers, cycling enthusiasts and of course romance lovers.

Just great. Romanic, funny, light-hearted and packed with dogs galore. What is there not to love? Daisy flees the UK to get away from another romantic disaster and ends up falling for recent widower Anton. Considering her previous disastrous attempts to make her relationships work, Daisy does not want complicated or difficult or anything at all really. We walk in the summer heat with Daisy and the dogs, watch the Tour de France and get stuck in drains - all very funny, loving and kind.

I received an ARC from NetGalley in return for an honest review.

This is a new writer to me but I am so pleased to have discovered her. I’ll definitely read more of her books. This is a lovely romance, set in the Laguedoc and the author does a great job of evoking the landscape, history and culture. The development of the relationship between Anton, French antiquarian, widower and sexy hunk - and Daisy, animal lover, dog walker and possessor of ‘energy-reading’ abilities is well done.

However, I felt this was very much a book of two halves. Daisy comes across as rather naive and innocent and sensitive in the first half of the book. The romance is really slow burn and gentle. Then suddenly we are into really steamy sex scenes which make both Daisy and Anton appear to be expert sexual athletes, able to display a range of sexual antics from the very start. I love a well written sex scene, and these are very well written. However, they took me by surprise and seemed very much at odds with the genteel, pedestrian story that=preceded them. It felt for a minute that I had wandered into a different book!

Nonetheless, it’s very well written and I enjoyed it a lot. It cried out for an epilogue as it seemed to end very abruptly.
