I didn’t enjoy this book. There were too many characters and storylines which made for a very confusing read. The characters were so irritating.

I must firstly apologise for the amount of time it has taken me to provide a review of this book, my health was rather bad for quite some time, something that had me in hospital on numerous occasions and simply didnt leave me with the time I once had to do what I love most.

Unfortunately that does mean I have missed the archive date for many of these books, so It would feel unjust throwing any review together without being able to pay attention to each novel properly.

However, I am now back to reading as before and look forward to sharing my honest reviews as always going forward. I thank you f0r the patience and understanding throughout x

One Little Lie by Lauren Weisberger is a thrilling novel about the lives of three women, all linked by a single lie. Peyton Marcus, a successful TV anchor with a perfect life, her sister Skye, a stay-at-home mum in an affluent suburb, and Peyton's daughter Max, a talented aspiring filmmaker, are all faced with the consequences of a lie that threatens to unravel their lives.

Weisberger's writing is sharp and insightful, and she does an excellent job of exploring the complexities of sisterhood, motherhood, and the pressures of living up to society's expectations. The characters are well-developed and relatable, each with their own flaws and insecurities.

The plot is fast-paced and engaging, with plenty of twists and turns that keep the reader guessing until the very end. Weisberger's descriptions of the glamorous world of TV news and high society are vivid and captivating, transporting the reader to a world of wealth and privilege.

Overall, One Little Lie is a captivating and thought-provoking novel that delves into the dark side of perfection and the power of secrets. It is an enjoyable read for fans of Lauren Weisberger's previous works, as well as anyone who enjoys a gripping family drama with a touch of suspense.

I enjoyed this boo, who doesn't love crazy rich people getting their comeuppance!? It was good fun, however I feel like this one will not stick with me the same way as The Devil Wears Prada has done.

So refreshing to read a book about something a little bit different. Perfect if you are looking for a summer read to escape into. Peyton, a busy working mum tells one little lie which changes everything. She realises it is not easy to hide from your actions when you are in the limelight. This story takes a few twists and turns. The characters are well rounded and it is a thoroughly enjoyable read.

Thanks to Netgalley, HarperCollins UK and Weisberger for an eArc in exchange for an honest review.

In this book we meet Peyton Marcus who is a news anchor who wakes New York up every morning with her highly wanted morning show. Peyton also has a wonderful husband and a high achieving daughter.

Peyton's sister Skye is a stay at home mum who lives in a New York suburb called Paradise. Skye is surrounded by helicopter parents, designer boutiques and people who fly by private jets. Buy Skye wants something more, something fresh, something real.

It has drama, intrigue, interesting characters and a well written storyline.

3.5 stars
As a big fan of Lauren Weisberger's The Devil Wears Prada series of books, I was really looking forward to reading her latest release, especially with the timely college admissions scandal being central to the plot.
However, it wasn't exactly what I was expecting, given Weisberger's previous fun, witty and often funny work.
This was much more serious and slow paced.
I was definitely invested in the story and characters but compared to some of the authors previous work, this didn't quite live up to those great heights.
It is still worth reading and I can't wait to see what Weisberger does next. She is one of those authors who I will always support and pick up her next release.
Thank you to Netgalley for providing me with an advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Peyton Marcus is the co-host of a top rating New York morning television program, she’s married to Isaak and they have a seventeen year old daughter Max. Peyton lives in the limelight, she gets driven to work in the early hours of the morning and only wears designer clothes. Her husband works part-time selling real estate and Max has just finished high school and this will be her last summer at home and then she’s off to college.

Skye Lee is Peyton’s sister, she lives in Paradise an outer suburb of New York, she’s married to Gabe and they have a six year old daughter Aurora. She’s much more down to earth than her famous sister, they look nothing a like and people are shocked when they find out their related. Skye want’s to open a house for underprivileged teens, she’s found a rundown five bedroom building and the girls would be able to attend Paradise’s award winning public school. Despite not having the funds secured yet, Skye can’t help herself, she starts buying items to furnish the girls rooms and turns into a compulsive shopper.

Then everything goes pear-shaped, Isaac’s arrested for paying a bribe for Max to get into Princeton, and it’s illegal. Peyton’s sent home from work in disgrace, Max receives a letter saying she’s no longer welcome at the prestigious college. while waiting for his day in court, and Isaak’s been told to distance himself from his wife.

So Peyton and Max move to Paradise for the summer, the entire families relationships are put under the microscope, both sisters learn they need to tell their spouses the truth, face up to the mistakes they have made, and Max discovers her life isn’t over because she didn’t get into Princeton and other opportunities are just around the corner.

I received a copy of Where the Grass is Green from NetGalley and Harper Collins UK in exchange for an honest review, the first book I have read by Lauren Weisberger, I loved all the drama and it won't be my last and five stars from me.

I was really excited to read this new book by the fantastic author Lauren Weisberger. It started super well, i was hooked from the first line and then quickly I realized this book was not what I was expecting. This book is slow paced, it's very serious and not "funny". Maybe I was not in the right mood to read this book but unfortunately I didn't really like it. I really struggled to finish it. But i am giving this a 3 stars (and not less) because it's very well written.

3 1/2 ⭐️

Where the Grass is Green is a story of secrets and lies and also covers a story that has been played in the media many times especially by famous faces!

It took me a little while to get into this book as you are told a lot of backstory to set the scene, however as soon as one of the characters was arrested I was invested in the story and what was going to happen!

Each of the Adult Characters have secrets, or told lies that are morally questionable which made for a juicy read!

I absolutely loved The Devil Wears Prada and Revenge Wears Prada and whilst I enjoyed this book it wasn’t my favourite, however I would recommend it to any fans of Lauren Weisberger as it’s just slightly different than the ones I have previously read.

An excellent read and just what I needed, two sisters, two different lifestyles and all the complications life brings. Well written, believeable situations, I finished it last night and woke this morning wondering if the characters were going to be ok !
To make it perfect, I would have liked an epilogue set 6 months later but life isn’t like that is it ?

Took me a long time to finish this book, I didn't really enjoy it, and prefered Lauren Weisberger's older books.

Two sisters very different from each other. Peyton is living the dream as a co anchor on a popular morning tv show. Married to a great guy, their teenaged daughter about to head to college. When her husband is arrested for bribing an ivy league school to get their teenaged daughter in. Peyton thinks she did nothing wrong. Her perfect life starts to crumble.

Skye is a stay at home mum something is lacking in her life she longs for more than being a helicopter mum.
Life is about to get more complicated for both sisters. I think you can tell the author had difficulty writing this. The ending was very abrupt.
