This is a beautifully illustrated gardening book for children. It is filled with projects, and lots of interesting facts. I especially like the information on keeping different insects such butterflies, bees and hoverflies happy.

I love the beautiful illustrations in this book! A really fun book for ideas about exploring plants and nature with children, including gardening tips, craft ideas and recipes.

I really loved this book, it was so beautifully illustrated, it made me want to get my gardening gloves on every time I read it.

It explains each section easily and aims to teach the reader in all things gardening including foraging and ecology, but I also really liked the pancake section. As someone who struggles with some types of instructions I found this book really easy to follow and I really liked it, I'll probably buy it when it is published, I loved it that much.

With thanks to Netgalley, publishers, and Alys Folwer, (I enjoyed this immensely) who provided me with this free copy in return I have provided my honest review. Thank you.

I love this book! I live in Kew, and I'm a member of the Kew Botanic Gardens. I enjoy reading about it as well as spending time in it. So when I saw its name on this book, I knew I had to read it. And I'm so glad I did.

This book is fun to read, and the instructions are easy to follow. The illustrations and the page design are a delight to look at. I'll be trying a few of the projects, and I definitely want to have the paperback.

A beautifully illustrated blend of gardening tips, ecology, foraging skills, experiments and recipes (love the idea of dandelion pancakes!), this children's nonfiction book should have broad appeal. I found the mix of information and activities well balanced and engaging, the instructions were easy to follow and I learned a few things I didn't know which is always wonderful.

I shall write a blog post about this book nearer to its publication date but needless to say that I have already recommended it to a lot of parents with kids in the age group. Love the illustrations and love the words and activities.

A wonderful book which will help even the most reluctant of children to find fun in the great outdoors. There's projects like parsnip pea shooters, wildflower seed paper, and home made watering cans, and the bit I thought most useful, sections on which flowers and leaves are edible which a lot of kids will love as it's a treasure hunt with something new to try when you find it; I just wish there were a few more plants in this section, maybe to include wild berries. This book would be really good in print form, but doesn't work in electronic form as the pages are squished from the sides too much which makes the words harder to read as they're tall and thin.
