This is the second book from this reality star turned author Georgia Toffolo and as with the first novel this did not disappoint.

We again meet the same group of young friends that we were introduced to in the first novel, Meet me in London, with this novel featuring Malie, who has left home and crossed the world to Hawaii to teach surfing and essentially run away from her sadness and the tragedy her family and friends have endured.

Once there Malie meets handsome wealthy Todd, also running away from his own life and the two instantly find a connection. As Malie struggles to overcome her fears and the loss of her beloved brother she, with the help of Todd, her friends and the children she helps to coax out of their shells, finds that she can be happy again.

The writing style is warm and inviting and the continuation of the characters helps them become more real and makes you want to hear more about their lives and of their adventures.

I am looking forward to reading more in this series and hope that future books will feature Zoe and Lily, the other two friends. I found Zoe a particularly well thought out character in this book and I would like to hear more of her story.

If a lovely romance on a beautiful island is what you are looking for then look no further.

Thank you to Netgalley, the publisher and the author for the opportunity to read this book in exchange for an honest review.

Meet Me in London was one of my festive reads and I absolutely loved it, so I was over the moon when I found out that it was actually the first book in a series!

Meet Me in Hawaii, the second book, is the ultimate feel good feast. It focuses on Malie, a passionate surfer who moved to Hawaii whilst trying to overcome personal tragedy. Trust me, if you loved Meet Me in London, prepare to gobble this one up!

Where Victoria Scott was dreaming of her future life and fulfilling her dream of owning her own boutique, her friend Malie Pukui no longer believes in Happily Ever After and has put her life on hold leaving life in Devon to try and start fresh in Hawaii.. Little does she know how much she is holding herself back.

In comes an affable millionaire and owner of a charitable foundation by the name of Todd Masters! One of the things I loved about this book was it's strong character-driven narrative. Despite ironically meeting in water, Malie and Todd have instant heat, with an intensity established in their relationship right from the very start and carried right the way through the book.

With its backdrop of beautiful beaches, kind hearted people, Hawaii fees like the perfect setting for this tale, and Georgia Toffolo for me really captured some of the vibrancy and warmth of the people and surfer life without making it feel cliched.

This is a romance novel but one that packs a punch because dig beyond the surface and you'll find some other themes interwoven in the plot. I loved the way that the book turned outdated gender stereotypes on their head, emphasised (mini spoiler alert), by the way in which Malie and Todd meet, with her coming to his rescue. In fact neither of them need rescuing but they have to work to confront their demons and meet each other in the middle. And these demons, if you take a closer look at them, bring an element of coping with trauma and looking after your own wellbeing as well, giving the story more depth and to making the characters even more relatable.

Romance with a very current feel, loveable characters and a lot of heart. This is a funny, charming, sexy, feel good read - guaranteed to leave you with a smile, and a desire to book a flight immediately. My only complaint is having to wait a few months now for the next book in the series!

Big thank you to the Mills & Boon team and NetGalley for my ARC in exchange for this honest review.

Having never read a Mills and Book book in my life, I was pleasantly surprised. Very much a girl meets boy and falls in love story, but just what we need at the present time.

I really enjoyed Georgia Toffolo’s first book in this series, ‘Meet Me in London’, and was really happy to receive her next.

Meet Malie Pukui, who lives in Hawaii with her godfather Kailani, doing what she loves most: spending time on the waves on her surfboard and sharing her love for surfing at their surf school.

When Todd Masters comes to Hawaii to work with her for his charity, they fall in love fast and hard. But as both are dealing with loss and grief, Malie is afraid to give Todd a chance for a happy ever after she thinks she doesn’t deserve.

I enjoyed the tropical setting of sunny Hawaii this book. With the POV alternating between both Malie and Todd this is another enjoyable read by Toff!

Thank you NetGalley and Mills &Boon for my eARC in return for an honest review.

*Disclaimer I was permitted to read a ARC of this book prior to publication in an exchange for an honest review through the NetGalley service”

This is the second book in a quartet of books by this author. Each book tell the story of one of the girls from a group of friends who have all been friends since school, now in their mid twenties,

Meet me in Hawaii tells of Malie, she is a single, self school instructor based in Hawaii and carries its her guilt over brothers death, something she has never got over (would you ever get over that?)

Whilst at the surf school she meets Todd, who is a self made man and is in fact at the school in Hawaii with a group of children from the charitable foundation that he set up and controls.

Todd to has his own demons as his mother died in labour with him and he doesn’t have a close relationship with his father.

This style of book you can always predict the ending which is why they are so easy reading, thoroughly enjoyable and perfect for a light hearted read.

This book however I did find it a bit boring in places, the same issues kept on arising as well as the same sort of scenario’s.

It definitely hasn’t put my off the best book in the series but I just felt this book could of been a little bit less long winded than it,.

⭐️⭐️⭐️ Would give 3.5 but there’s no emoji for half a star

Meet Me in Hawaii follows the story of Malie, who works with her godfather running a surf school in Hawaii. Malie dreams of helping people gain confidence in all aspects of their lives through teaching them how to surf. In comes Todd Masters who runs the charity Fun for All who had a tough start in life and wants to help children who have their own tough lives realise there’s a way out and there are people who support them. Though it becomes clear pretty early on that Malie & Todd need a lot of help of their own...

I adored this story, my heart broke for Malie for what she had been through and the guilt she still carried for being able to live when others couldn’t. These books aren’t just romance in a typical sense, but have such a strong theme of female friendship you know these girls are soulmates. If you love a romance then Meet Me in London & Meet Me in Hawaii are for you!

What a fantastic follow up to the first book in this series, I loved that one and loved this one too!

Follow Malie and Todd as they both run from, then deal with the demons of their pasts.

As you get to know all the characters you will fall in love with them and want to know their stories. You will want to cry with them and laugh with them. You may get a little frustrated at the back and forth of their developing relationship but will understand as they deal with grief, love and loss and difficult family relationships.

An easy book to read that you will get lost in and reappear several hours later!

I can’t wait for the next instalment in this series.

Thank you to Netgallery, the publishers and most importantly the author, for the chance to read this book, in exchange for an honest review.

This is such a lovely, dreamy romance story set in such a beautiful part of the world. Malie has a wonderful life, she runs surf lessons in the most romantic setting, after tragedy in her life she wants to give back so that is why she is running these lessons. Then she meets Todd, he has his own issues he has to deal with but can they learn to help each other? the spark between them is unreal, but can they make it work? At times I wanted to bash their heads together and say get on with it but the anticipation made it work. A story about finding love, hope and heartbreak in such a perfect setting in Hawaii, this story has really made me want to go there now. I look forward to Georgia's next book.

Having absolutely adored Meet Me In London I was very excited to read the next instalment. I have to say it was a very lighthearted read and the setting made me incredibly desperate to go on holiday - even more so reading from the middle of lockdown! However, I felt this story was lacking something that I got from the first book and I can’t quite put my finger in what. Maybe it needed a little bit more plot or maybe I just preferred the Christmassy setting of the first book but this one wasn’t quite as good as the first. Saying that, I still enjoyed it and absolutely flew through it and will definitely be reading the next instalment in September.

A heartwarming book of love and loss and what makes us the people we are. The two central characters Malie and Todd have had experiences when they were younger that have shaped them into the people they are and they both have to overcome these experiences before they can move forward.
Set in Hawaii the breathtaking backdrop for the story is an escapist dream. Add in some good friends, making a difference to some damaged young people this book is a joy to read.

Unfortunately this book really didn’t live up to meet me in London. I felt the story was really slow and quite repetitive and I had to force myself to keep going.

I liked the characters but it was very cheesy. I did like the children and how their characters developed and I thought it was very sweet but overall not a great book for me

A fabulous read, a perfect chick lit that allowed me to escape lockdown and real life to the beaches of Hawaii and the story of Malie and Todd. Toff manages to get you invested in the characters from the very first page and the love for them grows with every page, and not just the main characters but all the characters from the best friends, to parents and family and the kids from the charity - I’m invested and want to know more. The book is not your typical romance, it’s much, much more. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. I’m already excited for Zoe’s story............

Meet Me in Hawaii - Georgia Toffolo

I was given a copy of this book in exchange for a fair review thanks to Mills & Boon and Netgalley.

Malie Pukui doesn’t believe in happy ever after. After a tragedy caused her to flee her family and friends in Devon she found a fresh start in Hawaii. Here, working at a surf school, she can give back to those in need and try to overcome the greatest loss in her life.

Moved around foster homes throughout his childhood, Todd Masters has worked hard to be able to offer a brighter future to young disadvantaged children. Now he has his own charitable foundation working with a surf school in Hawaii, a job he loves, but he still can’t put his past behind him.

If you enjoyed Meet Me in London, then you will enjoy this book! This is lovely little read focusing on Malie but still keeping you updated on Victoria.

The plot of this book is a typical Mills and Boon romance storyline. It’s a cheesy light-hearted quick read, I read this book in one afternoon.

Although I have read Meet Me in London, I feel that this book can be read as a standalone.

Rating 4/5

This is perfect escapism reading - I love the premise of the 4 book series from Toff and couldn't wait to read the second installment.

Malies book did not disappoint and I whizzed through this - swapping London for Hawaii and snow for sun.
This book showcases love loss and grief, alongside a heathy serving of romance. I loved the main characters Todd and Malie and how they helped each other navigate their own issues.

I had this book on preorder but couldn't turn down the chance to read it before its release date. Its an easy read filled with love and friendship, set amongst the most incredible scenary. It has made me want to hop on a plane right now!

Thanks to Toff, Mills & Boon and Netgalley for this advanced copy!

Toffolo uses Malie to touch upon the important topics of grief, love and family relationships. Malie is haunted by her past and believes she doesn't deserve to live a life of enjoyment and to love/be loved. However, this all changes when she meets Todd (a significant influencer at her Surf School in Hawaii) who falls madly in love with Malie. Meet Me in Hawaii is about learning to accept the past and move forward into love, acceptance and happiness. I definitely would love to visit this Surf School and enjoy the sunshine and cocktails!

I absolutely loved this book and could not put it down. I loved the first book in this series as was not disappointed by the second. I cannot wait to read the third when it comes out.

Meet me in Hawaii is the second book in the ‘Meet Me’ series. It is a very sweet and feel good romance set against the beautiful backdrop of Hawaii. Malie, a surf instructor meets the attractive millionaire, Todd, who has come over to Hawaii with his charity to use the surfing recuperation programme with a group of disadvantaged children. Malie rescues him quite by accident when he gets caught in a riptide and this forms the beginning of their relationship and lays the foundations for the rest of the story.

Although some of the characters in the first book are introduced again, Meet Me in Hawaii works well as a standalone and there is sufficient background history covered to get a feel of the previous book. The characters are likeable and fun and there wasn’t one I disliked. I particularly enjoyed the bond Malie had with her close friends and the fact this bond had deepened after their shocking car accident in their youth. This is a lovely supportive friendship group and I adored their ‘Lost Hours’ emergency video calls.

There is not an awful lot in the way of content to really get your teeth into. The story has a lot of dialogue and very little in the way of rich description. I would have loved to have seen a lot more descriptions of the setting, the visits to the Dole Plantation and the North Shore could have been explored in much more detail adding extra depth to the story. Descriptions of the local cuisine always go down well with me in books and this again was skimmed over but could have added another layer of interest. I did enjoy learning about surfing though and learnt quite a lot!

The romance was very quick, they fell in love almost instantly but subsequently there was too much indecision and dallying around to get to where they actually needed to be. Malie being unable to commit to the relationship because she felt she didn’t deserve happiness due to some tragic events in her past. She led Todd on a merry dance on more than one occasion and despite being rejected several times I was astounded by how forgiving and patient Todd was. However, there are some lovely moments and set against the dreamy background of Hawaii this book certainly gives you lots of feel good emotions.

Meet Me in Hawaii is an enjoyable and entertaining read. The writing wasn’t the best I’ve ever read, and I did wince a little bit at some of the dialogue, but the book is exactly what it’s meant to be, a light and fun romance which is easy and quick to read. The perfect beach read in a wonderful setting.

Thank you so much to the publisher, via Netgalley, for my early review copy.

Malie Pukui works at her Godfather's surf school in Hawaii, she is due to attend a cocktail party hosted by a charitable foundation that they are hoping will invest in the surf school's 'Surf Therapy' to help disabled and disadvantaged children. At the cocktail party she meets the head of the charitable foundation, Todd Masters - tall and very handsome, but if she falls for him will it prove awkward for Surf Therapy?
A delightful tale of love and lust.

Toff's latest title couldn't have come at a better time as we are all in need of holiday escapism. Despite dealing with heavier themes, the story felt light-hearted throughout. I did cringe at the romance in parts and some of the dialogue came across stilted. However, she evoked sunny Hawaii wonderfully. Definitely check this book out if you fancy a fun, destination read.

Thank you NetGalley and Mills&Boon for the opportunity to read the digital review copy.
