Due to a sudden, unexpected passing in the family a few years ago and another more recently and my subsequent (mental) health issues stemming from that, I was unable to download this book in time to review it before it was archived as I did not visit this site for several years after the bereavements. This meant I didn't read or venture onto netgalley for years as not only did it remind me of that person as they shared my passion for reading, but I also struggled to maintain interest in anything due to overwhelming depression. I was therefore unable to download this title in time and so I couldn't give a review as it wasn't successfully acquired before it was archived. The second issue that has happened with some of my other books is that I had them downloaded to one particular device and said device is now defunct, so I have no access to those books anymore, sadly.

This means I can't leave an accurate reflection of my feelings towards the book as I am unable to read it now and so I am leaving a message of explanation instead. I am now back to reading and reviewing full time as once considerable time had passed I have found that books have been helping me significantly in terms of my mindset and mental health - this was after having no interest in anything for quite a number of years after the passings. Anything requested and approved will be read and a review written and posted to Amazon (where I am a Hall of Famer & Top Reviewer), Goodreads (where I have several thousand friends and the same amount who follow my reviews) and Waterstones (or Barnes & Noble if the publisher is American based). Thank you for the opportunity and apologies for the inconvenience.

Now who doesn't just love The Beatles! So when We Are The Beatles by Zoë Tucker came out I had to get my own copy. This book is a lovely reminder with their music how great they were and still are. Many happy moments of when I was growing up and my parents used to play them on their old record player. I never got bored of them. So 40+ years on I am still a fan. Sadly my mum isn't here now as she would of loved to share this wonderful book with me. Plus it was very colourful and great for her as she had Dementia. Talking about The Beatles and Ringo who was my mum's favourite she never stopped talking about him when the cassette was playing! Now I am showing my age! Cassette I hear you say! Whats that! lol.

Thank you to Quarto Publishing and Netgalley for this copy which I reviewed honestly and voluntarily.

5☆ A Wonderful Children's Picture Book, Celebrating The Beatles!

I absolutely adore The Beatles, and their music is always guaranteed to make me happy and give me a boost when I need cheering up!

So when I see this beautiful Children's Picture Book I just had to read it, and I must say I wasn't disappointed!
It was eye catching, beautifully illustrated and educational.
I certainly learnt a few things about how they became The Beatles and that they was the first band to ever play in a stadium to a crowd of 56,000 people.
What an amazing achievement!

I always adore these special books, they pay tribute to iconic people around the world and The Beatles certainly were an iconic band!
What I love is at the end there are some more facts and information about them which only strengthens the story and gives the older reader more.

The Beatles music is still very much loved and as I write this review I have one of my favourite Beatles song in my head...'Can't Buy Me Love'

This book would not only be great for young readers, but would make a Beautiful gift for a Beatles Fan.
Enjoy!

I loved this book about The Beatles, which is made for children and has lovely, easy to read words and illustrations which give an insight into the early lives of The Beatles and how they got together and created beautiful music. The Beatles are one of my favourite bands, so I was delighted to read this book and I really enjoyed it!

Many thanks to the author, publisher and netgalley for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I love The Beatles and I was very interested in a children's book about them.
This book is the story of The Beatles and how they came to find success.
It is great for children who are interested in music or parents who want to share something they love. I loved the bright art style that was inspired by the Yellow Submarine era of the band. The main bulk of the book is a simple story of friends getting together to play music and would be accessible across many age groups. The back of the book includes more detail for those kids who have further questions. I like that the book could grow with a child, reading the simple story when they were younger and then there still being the more detailed story in the back for them to discover later on.
It does gloss over a lot of things that surrounded The Beatles at the height of their success. I was slightly concerned about the themes that might have appeared in this book but there isn't anything inappropriate mentioned. You can feel secure giving this book to a young child.

I can imagine how a family of music lovers would enjoy this book. Both adults and children will enjoy reading this while listening to the Beatles songs. The illustrations are very well-made, and the story is easy to follow. I enjoyed it a lot.

I enjoyed this book. I was brought up listening to the Beatles so have always been a fan. I liked that this book is a child friendly, accessible introduction to the group, giving some of their history.

Firstly I must mention the illustration in this book. The bold bright colours and shapes match those of the Yellow Submarine artwork and work so well in a children’s book. The main thing I loved about this book was the simplicity of it, the story was told in a very sweet way that the children loved as I read it. This is perfect for music fans and would make a great unique gift for a child

Such a cute little book. I'm a huge fan of the Beatles (like most people around the world haha) and this book would be perfect for the little people in my life.

It of course if very short, and misses out a lot of key details - but I think children would love it. The illustrations are great and really reflect the colourful 1960s style. It focusses on kindness, friendship and teamwork - so a great message!

Very cute!

Living in Liverpool, it’s hard to not be aware of the cultural significance of The Beatles. We have statues of them, statues of characters they sang about and themed Magical Mystery Tour buses to take tourists to see the birthplaces of John, Paul, George and Ringo. This book is a great way to introduce the story of the Fab Four to a younger generation. It’s a simplified version of their story that children would be able to follow and understand but that adults will still enjoy too. The bright, bold illustrations are reminiscent of Beatles films and album artwork, specifically the rounded shapes of Yellow Submarine.
This is a beautiful book for sharing with young children to introduce the story and music of The Beatles.

A concise biography of The Beatles, detailing their rise to fame and the impact that they had on the music industry.

Although the illustrations weren't to my taste, they are bright and interesting and I'm sure kids will love them. This 'We Are The... ' series by Zoe Tucker is in the style of the 'Little People, Big Dreams' series with a great message about resilience and friendship.

Thank you #NetGalley and Quarto Publishing for the free copy in exchange for an honest review.

This is a great book that tells the story of how The Beatles met, and their journey to being the band we know and love, but because it's a children's book it's told very simply, so it's easy to understand.
I actually really enjoyed it myself , and enjoyed learning about the Beatles.

Such a gorgeous book! This is a profile of the Beatles designed for children - it tells the story of how John and Paul met, how George and Ringo joined the band and how the Beatles rose to superstardom - with vibrant illustrations which stylistically pay homage to the imagery that the Beatles are synonymous with. This is a great introduction to the Beatles for kids or a way to start explaining the band that produced amazing songs that your children may be familiar with and love already.

I read this book last night and I thought that it was great!

The illustrations in the book are wonderful and they really brought The Beatles to life.

The book was easy to follow and read and it had a great flow to it too – the focus is just on the very early years of the band and how they got together and how their friendship make them such an influential band that really did change the music scene forever with their songs still being played and favourites for a lot of people decades later.

It is 4 stars from me for this one – highly recommended!
