This is the story of Easter morning when Mary first ventures to the garden to anoint the body of Jesus, her teacher. It is told in the fashion of 'Twas the Night Before Christmas.

"Dear Mary, it's me! It's Jesus, your friend!
My story's just starting-this wasn't the end!
His eyes, how they twinkled; his smile so bright-
Mary knew in a moment, but could she be right!"

This is the story of the Resurrection and the Faith that we have because of the Easter story. The illustrations are gorgeous and added so much to this story. The cadence of the text makes the story a great read aloud. This is the perfect picture book to share the Christian story of Easter. I definitely recommend this book to Christian families and Church libraries.

Lovely illustrations and rhyming text tell the story of Jesus’ resurrection. Starting with the soldiers guarding the tomb, the story tells of Mary’s visit to the tomb, her meeting with Jesus and running back to tell the other disciples the good news.

I received a free copy of this book via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

In the guise of 'Twas the Night Before Christmas: or Account of a Visit from St. Nicholas, this new classic will make a perfect gift for families wanting to share the story of the risen Jesus with their children. It is all about the resurrection and the promise of hope we have of Easter. I am surprised I have not seen something like this book sooner.

The illustrations are vibrant and cadence of the words are engaging! Loved this!

A special thank you to Zonderkidz Books and Netgalley for the ARC and the opportunity to post an honest review.

This is easily my new favorite Easter book! The crucifixion is such a tough topic to discuss with little kids, but this book is a great tool to make it easier to understand without having to go into the horrible details of Jesus' death. I loved the illustrations and the rhyming. I will, without a doubt, be adding this book to our home library as soon as it is released.
