I must firstly apologise for the amount of time it has taken me to provide a review of this book, my health was rather bad for quite some time, something that had me in hospital on numerous occasions and simply didnt leave me with the time I once had to do what I love most.

Unfortunately that does mean I have missed the archive date for many of these books, so It would feel unjust throwing any review together without being able to pay attention to each novel properly.

However, I am now back to reading as before and look forward to sharing my honest reviews as always going forward. I thank you f0r the patience and understanding throughout x

Having read and loved the All or Nothing trilogy, I was really excited about Rafe and Nicole’s book. I’m a sucker for billionaire romances and this book sounded perfect for me. Plus I was hoping to get a glimpse of Dominic and Kate and I wasn’t disappointed. Sadly The Wedding had fallen a bit flat for me. Even though I loved the chemistry and banter between Rafe and Nicole, the pacing of the story had me skimming at times. I think the pacing had been too slow for me and at times the story started to drag. I had really hoped that I would love this book this I had enjoyed the previous books. Unfortunately this book wasn’t for me.

Wonderfully indulgent and opulent, Rafe and Nicole can do wrong in my eyes. The evolution from playboy billionaire to married man and father is complete. With excess always on the menu, I do hope there will be more from them in the future.

I started this book only to realize it's a part of a trilogy. And this one is the third book not second. According Goodreads. I started reading it too but didn't like the first two chapter. So I'm gonna stop reading and not gonna bother reading the two books either.

Filled with cameos from featured characters in other CCG series, confrontations and revelations that tie off loose story threads, The Wedding Etc. offers readers a novel as extended epilogue, for fans of Sylvia Day, E. L. James, J. Kenner and other similar authors. Long-time Susan Johnson fans will recognize the dominance of one of her signature storytelling strengths of portraying volatile romantic relationships between strong-willed lovers for whom conflict is foreplay, coitus, and afterglow. Not for people looking for any semblance of political correctness or practical feminism.

This is the third book in the series. So I didn't real get the feel for it. However it was well written in the romance department and very sweet done.

Absolutely adored this final installment. I love these characters and their cast of friends. The Wedding, Etc. was well worth the wait. Another winner by CC Gibbs/Susan Johnson. Thank you #NetGalley

I tried with this but I found the writing style long winded and so the pace felt much too slow. I just wasn’t invested enough in it I’m afraid. I read the Knight’s trilogy a few years ago so it was like meeting old friends seeing Dominic and Kate again, I just wish this had been easier to get through.

I loved the character of Rafe, a young billionaire playboy who’s seen and done it all but still had time for the ordinary people like the kids at a local skate park. Despite his wealth he didn’t have a happy or secure childhood. His father sounds as if he was a complete sociopath and it was all he and his mother could do to survive. When he meets Nicole his life changes. She’s his obsession and his love. Nicole on the other hand just comes across as a spoilt brat who throws tantrums if she hears something she doesn’t like. Her jealousy is completely over the top and unwarranted. I mean Rafe’s international playboy reputation was well known – he even had a tattoo on a particular piece of his anatomy to prove it – so she knew he wasn’t a virgin when they met, not that she was either. Even though he gives her no cause to doubt his fidelity, not even looking at another woman let alone flirting, she flies of the handle at the slightest hint of there being any woman before her. The sexual chemistry between them is undeniable but it all gets a bit boring when you know Nicole is going to get upset some perceived misconception regarding his varied experience. If this was real life I’d give them three years before they landed in the divorce courts and that’s me being generous giving them that long because of the baby….. although like Taylor and Burton before them, they’d probably be remarried within a year.

I’m in two minds about this book. To me it just didn’t live up to it’s potential. I feel a lot more could have been made of the subplot involving Rafe’s uncle and his bid to take over the company with the aid of the Russian mafia. As it is, it was almost blink and you miss it and just seemed totally anticlimatic. With more depth this could’ve added a complete new dimension to the story instead of coming across as something that was added just increase the page count. I loved the Knight trilogy by this author but for me this book just doesn’t come close to that series.

Loved this final installment and how the characters all blend together and bring the antics together. Highly amorous scenes which keep this highly entertaining and interesting!! Loved it!!

I found this story less than captivating. I really kept waiting to see when the real story would begin.

A story about how sweet two people find life and how wrapped up they are in each other that they could barely get out of bed doesn't have much appeal for me.

Sorry but it was a typical billionaire meets & marries a no one, lots of sex, throws money at every thing, has a baby & it changes his life!!

The Wedding, Etc is the after the wedding romance with all the difficulties that face a new couple, and a couple who are expecting a baby. The plot is fabulous as it takes a couple that you want to like, who are both larger than life and gives them great banter and families to read about.
The romance was modern and there were good flashes of humour, especially around the interaction with the wider family.
The premise of writing a book based on what traditionally is the epilogue of a romance novel (they got married and lived happily ever after) is great. Whilst clearly the couple went through their trials and tribulations to get to the HEA and the successful parenting of their little one, the dialogue could be a little saccharine sweet at times and the story seemed to go on a little to get to the ending. I confess I struggled to stay with the couple all the way to the finale.

The Wedding, Etc. by CC Gibbs is a good book. It is the first I have read by this author. It started a little slow for me but did pick up and become a really nice read. Rafe and Nicole’s happy ever after was sweet. I may go back a read how they got to this point in their relationship.
