I've read novels by Heidi Swain before and I've enjoyed them, this one was no exception. It was fun, light and fluffy and easy to read. Would recommend!

Absolutely adore being back in Wynbridge, it’s like an old friend you have not seen for a while, but love it when you do.

As always with Heidi’s books, it is filled with fantastic descriptions of the area and I could imagine standing in the farm, eating strawberries and falling in love with all the local produce Wynbridge seems to offer.

This book is delightful, summery, fresh and makes you feel so good that you will adore it and fall in love with it straight from the beginning.

Fliss is a brilliant leading lady, she's full of passion and conviction. Eliot is a gorgeous addition to Wynbridge....I hope he features in the next instalment!!
The story was completely absorbing and i finished it in record time. I thoroughly enjoyed it an d would highly recommend it

I only have one wish about A Taste Of Home and that is that I could give it 10 stars. I have read most of Heidi Swains books and this has been my absolute favourite so far. I loved every bit of it and didn’t want it to end.
Fliss lives in Italy with her mum and the Rossi family on their fruit farm, when her mum passes away she leaves her a letter. The letter tells Fliss about the family she never knew she had in a village called Wynbridge in England.
Fliss decides to seek them out. She finds her Grandad on his own rundown fruit farm and settles in quickly to farm life.
She instantly feels an attraction for Eliot who cares for her grandad but feels she needs to fight it off. Fliss wants to improve the running of the farm and has lots of ideas of how to do this but with Anthony an old school rival of Eliots in her path will she succeed.
I love how Heidi bring all the characters from her previous Wynbridge books into the story. The Cherry Tree Cafe and Skylark Farm and even has night in The Mermaid.
This book is a must for Heidi Swain fans I could almost taste the fruit from Fenview Farm.

‘A Taste of Home’ is about Fliss Brown, whom after losing her mother flies to Wynbridge to meet her Grandfather Bill on Fenview Farm. She integrates herself into life on the farm, though she’s very familiar with fruit farming as this is what she did growing up in Italy. She forges friendships with the locals of Wynbridge where there is a massive sense of community, you know the type where people will help you with absolutely anything. Of course life isn’t perfect but I won’t go into specific events of the story.

I am a huge fan of Heidi’s books and I love every single one of her main characters so Fliss is no different. I wish I was a local too. There is so much going on with the characters it’s easy to immerse yourself into her stories.

‘A Taste of Home’ is about the importance of keeping your family close and finding love at difficult times. I give ‘A Taste of Home’ a massive 5*/5* ☺️

Having read all of this authors books and she never disapoints. A tale of love and finding yourself fliss's journey was an intriguing journey filled with hope and surprise I really enjoyed it. ❤

This is a delightful book. I was really taken in by all the characters from the start, I loved watching their relationships grow. There were a few twists and turns along the way, it was a true delight. I loved the way everything turned out and I’d love to see what happens to the Farm!

Yet another glorious book from the Queen of feel good and friendly community settings! From the first page I was drawn into the story of Fliss and her new life and family in the beautiful setting of Wynbridge. It was brilliant to see her embrace her opportunities with her Grandad and to find herself falling in love with her family roots and a whole new lifestyle.
As always there are plenty of twists and turns to keep you enthralled and entertained, as well as colourful characters, old and new to meet.
I always find myself longing to visit this amazing community, Heidi really brings the place and people alive with her amazing writing and I’m already longing to return back to my home from home with the next book from this idyllic place! ❤️

Ahh, hello Wynbridge my old friend.

I can always rely on Heidi Swain to deliver a story that I am going to thoroughly enjoy. One that I can read effortlessly, and I know will be filled with a lively yet lovely cast. As is Heidi’s MO, this book is filled with delicious descriptions of the area that made me want to go for a long stomp around the Fenlands, stuffing robustly red strawberries in my mouth as I went.

Unusually, for a book in this series or indeed by this author, it took me a while to warm to the main protagonist, Fliss. In fact, I’m not sure I really had even by the end; however, this didn’t affect my enjoyment of the story one bit. The supporting cast were a great bunch and of course it was wonderful to see a few familiar faces from previous books.

This was the perfect read to start the new year, even if the weather outside my window was no match for the glorious sunshine of Wynbridge. I can only imagine how lovely this will be to read after publication in a hopefully much milder and pleasurable climate!

Always look forward to a Heidi Swain Book, and revisiting characters from old books to see where they are.
I can honestly say i was not disappointed, watching the story develop between Fliss and Elliot, and really hope in the future that we can revist the farm.

I wanted to kick start 2021 on a positive so saved this book so it could be my first read of the year and I am so glad I did.
I can always rely on Heidi to provide a hug in book form. Always warm and cosy, special and leave you feel all emotional and fuzzy. I have been a huge fan for the longest time now and I always look forward for my next ‘fix’ #Swainette for life here.
‘A Taste of Home’ is a gorgeous, summer filled read that will have you craving strawberries like never before.
We meet Fliss after the death of her Mum, surrounded by her Italian ‘surrogate’ family. A letter from her Mum details last wishes that Fliss reconnect with family she never realised she had. So, a trip to the UK and our wonderful Wynbridge is quickly organised.
What Fliss discovers is so much more than she ever imagined, and I won’t spoil it and say too much but this book just highlights the importance of family and understanding where you come from. Although we haven’t met the majority of these characters, they are now firm favourites, and I can’t wait to see them again; you also come across some old favourites too which is always nice. Don’t worry – if this is your first Heidi Swain book, it is a standalone book, but I do recommend all her previous books as they are fantastic.
‘A Taste of Home’ is full of heart and emotion. It will make you laugh; make you cry and will leave you feeling content. I highly recommend, it will make the perfect summer beach read, cosy on up and take a trip to Wynbridge via Italy.

Well what can I say other than Heidi has done it again. Absolutely superb. In this book we see a return to Wynbridge and again we catch up with old friends while also meeting new ones. This time we meet Fliss and her family. Perfect to take you away without even leaving the house. X

Another fabulous book from Heidi Swain. Great story and characters, a lovely community feel, lots of new and old friendships, and I would love to see some recipes for the food mentioned.

Yet another fantastic Heidi Swain book! This is the story of Fliss who has returned to Wynbridge after the death of her mother to reconnect with estranged family only to find that her grandfather owns a fruit farm that has fallen into disrepair and so she sets out to help restore it.

This book is fabulous and is full of family, love and friendship.

Fliss tavels to England after the death of her mother, to meet the family she never knew she had. Despite not getting off to the best start, she soons makes friends with Eliot and his family. She feels like this could be home, so will she stay?

The setting on the fruit farm was great.

100% trademark Heidi Swain. In a year where so much has changed it has been truly wonderful to sink into the delicious familiarity that a Heidi Swain novel brings. Beautiful story and lovely relatable characters.

A wonderful story of family lost and found, of love, hope and friendship. A must read that has you wanting more

Having read and enjoyed several books by Heidi Swain, I was pleased to receive a review copy of this one.

I enjoyed this book. Fliss travels to the farm her mother grew up on, and finds things are not as she expects them to be. I loved the setting of the fruit farm, and I enjoyed the way Fliss and her grandfather gradually get to know one another. I also liked Eliot, he seems kind and caring. It was fun to see brief appearances from characters in previous books.

As well as the more serious bits (I can’t say much without spoilers), there was plenty of light hearted parts. There were several amusing scenes, and I loved the way Fliss gradually felt more at home. I found it frustrating the way she allowed Anthony to gaslight her, and manipulate her, but I think it’s a lot harder to see when someone’s up to no good when you’re involved in a situation.

Overall, this was a lovely way to while away a few hours. It had a lovely “coming home” feel, with a delightful setting, and the beginning of a nice romance. I hope the characters will feature in a future story.
