I really loved this story! There was a lot more than a story about a girl and her life growing up!! There were quite a few main characters that were part of someone I knew in my life or of!.
The story developed well and held my attention the whole story but I knew it would as the author writes a fantastic story!! I highly recommend that you read this book!!

Thank you to Netgalley and Little Brown Book Publishing for giving me the opportunity to read an advanced copy of Legacy. Nora Roberts was the first author I read and I've been hooked since I was 14.

Legacy is a brilliant addition to the Nora Roberts family. What an emotional rollercoaster.

From the very beginning the heart is pounding, I was left on the edge of my seat and actually closed my eyes before remembering I need them open to read the rest. When little Adrian meets her father for the first time, it is not a heartfelt reunion. It's the exact opposite. Thank goodness Lina, her mother was there to save the day.

After a near tradgety, career woman Lina takes her daughter to stay with her grandparents for the summer while she herself continues on with her work. For the first time ever, Adrian is in a place to make lasting friendships. Instead of travelling around from place to place with her mum, she gets to stay the whole summer in one place. Her grandparents are fantastic and welcome her with open arms. I kind of fell a bit in love with Papi.

The summer, like all summers at that age, ends too fast and it isn't long before Adrian is back with her mum having no place to call home. The years slip by and suddenly Adrian is a teenager with a will of her own and plans for her future. Adrian convinces Lina to leave her at their flat so she can continue to go to school. After a lot of debate, Lina agrees. And so the makings of Adrian begin, and so do the letters. As Adrian becomes a household name, she begins to get letters from an anonymous source.

I'm not going to give much away, but I was so invested in Adrian and her venture that I felt like I was one of the new friends she brought into her life.

Tradgety strikes and Adrian goes to the only place she ever felt at home. Much to her mother's disapproval, Adrian decides to live at her grandparents house to keep an eye on her widower grandfather. So starts a new path in the life of Adrian Rizzo.

It was a good move, we get re-introduced to earlier characters, friendships that have seemed to last a lifetime. Adrian even convinces one of her newer friends to move into the small town. She even runs into Raylan, the brother of one of her childhood friends. As Adrian starts this new venture with her life, the letters keep coming. The threats keep appearing and more often than usual. Adrian is both afraid and angry at the constant ugly words being thrown at her. Maybe it's time to do something about it? Maybe she should continue to ignore and put them down to some jealous person over her career?

Raylan left Travellers Cove to seek out his own destiny and through it, he met the woman of his dreams. His life seems perfect. Job he's always wanted which turns into his own business, a loving wife and two children. What more could anyone want? When his world turns upside down, Raylan leaves the home filled with memories and takes his children to his childhood town to start on new beginnings.

At exactly the half way mark of this book, I was in bed crying my eyes out and I didn't want to read anymore, but ended up not getting any sleep that night!

I'm not going to give anything else away so I will stop there. If you are a Nora Roberts fan, you won't be disappointed. If you're not...you should be, Legacy is a great place to start.

The only thing that I didn't like in this book, is that it's over, and because I read the advance copy I have to wait longer for Nora's next book to come out! I can't wait to read this again once it's released in general sale!

I love Nora Roberts' work and this one was no different. It started so strong; the first line made me need to no more and it was really hard to put down. The strong female characters were so fun to get to know and the grandparents were so lovely. I like all the intertwining characters and how their stories fit together. Being a big dog lover myself the relationship the characters have with their dogs was an added bonus. They were so many elements that were just perfect about this book. I don't think there was a single thing I didn't like about it.

I enjoyed this book. As always with Nora Roberts, it’s well plotted and thought out. The characters are all believable with good back stories, and the descriptions of the locations it’s set in come alive when you read them. It had a familiar feel to it that I associate with this author. Although it was a bit predictable in places, and it was quite early on that you could guess who the ‘baddie’ was, it’s still a book that I couldn’t put down.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read and review this book.

Legacy by Nora Roberts
l give this book 4 stars
Adrian Rizzo is a young woman with a successful business, and a wonderful family and friends. She's worked hard to build a happy life for herself. When she receives a death threat in the post, she puts it down to someone's jealousy of her success and tries to forget about it. But Adrian doesn't realise that it's more than just spite. Someone is very angry about her happy life and will stop at nothing to bring it all crashing down

A standalone book.

Another very good read from Nora Roberts. Love the story and I must admit I did guess who done it quite quickly but you still want to see why he is doing what he is doing and if and when he will be caught.

This is my second book by Nora Roberts and possibly my first romance of the year.

I was again compelled by the talent that is Nora Roberts in writing a book.
Her characters are complex and you can see them evolving through the story.
The book filled me with different emotions an I was never expecting any of the twists that have happened.

Although it is not my favourite genre, I definitely enjoyed this book more than I even expected and I have to say this is all to do with the fact that Nora Roberts knows how to keep the reader completely hooked to her writing.

I would like to thank Netgalley, Little, Brown Book Group UK and Piatkus for the advanced digital copy of this book in exchange for an honest and unbiased review.

What has happened to Nora Roberts? Her books used to be so gripping, a read in one sitting talent but recently her books have become so predictable and long winded. This book starts the same as her last one; something terrible happens to our heroine as a child, and then spends a few chapters dealing with that, something will happen and then we’ll spend a section of the book with pointless info. Seriously I feel as if I know everything to know about yoga! There where a few glimmers of the old Nora but they were far and few between. A long winded story with a couple of good bits

Wow, just wow! This is my first Nora Roberts book but it won't be my last. I was hooked from the start and just had to keep reading this page turner. I loved the slow burn romance and enjoyed watching her life play out. It's quite a rollercoaster of emotions. One minute I was laughing then I was in tears. Great storyline with lots of unexpected twists that I just didn't see coming.

Suspenseful Family Drama....
Who wants to bring down to successful, beautiful and seemingly well liked Adrian Rizzo? It may be that Adrian may well be underestimating them. A suspenseful family drama and a standalone from Nora Roberts. A host of well drawn characters populate the plot together with an engaging storyline making for an enjoyable read.

Legacy

What a book! What a fantastic book! I’ll tell you now to stop reading my review and get this beauty ordered! From the first line to the last this is a work of art!

Adrian is an interesting character and I loved seeing her grown through the story. She’s badass!
Now I wouldn’t call this a thriller at all, it has a strong start and there’s a slight unease but this is a family drama. The last 25% takes on a thriller vibe but again I can’t lol Legacy anything but a family drama! Dint let that put you off though, this a remarkable story and I really enjoyed reading it.

5/5

Really enjoyed this book, very good read. Lots of suspense. It became obvious who the baddy is very quickly, but you still want to see why he is doing what he is and how he will be caught.
Found some of the plot reminded me of Blue Smoke
Thank you to netgallery for this book.

It’s been quite a few years since I’ve read a Nora Roberts standalone, so coming into Legacy I was expecting something quite different from what I ended up getting. Going by the synopsis I thought this would be a thrilling romantic suspense novel but, imo, it was neither especially romantic or suspenseful. The first few chapters were quite good, but soon the plot starts to drag endlessly, getting bogged down by numerous details and side plots that don’t add up anything to the story. Also, the suspense part is so predictable that you can guess the bad guy as soon as that plot line begins and though there are a ton of characters I wasn’t particularly attached to any of them (except the dogs), so I was not invested in whatever happened to them (except the dogs, I’d have killed if something happened to those dogs).

I was ready to love this and although sadly I didń´t, I will continue reading Nora Roberts but now I know that if I want some thrills I’ll have to stick to her “In death” series.

What a fascinating book, with characters that are so well drawn. You can feel the energy coming from Adrian, the coolness of her mother, and the gradual development of their relationship. I have to say that there is more than a little touch of JDRobb here and there in the book!
The mysterious 'poet' becomes more and more real, more and more terrifying. But what a denoument!
Personally I loved Sadie. How lovely to see the realtionship of dogs to owners, especailly in such a hard hitting book.
Thank you Net Galley and the publisher for the chance to read and review this book.

For me, no one writes romantic suspense like Norah Roberts. A chunky book that you can get absorbed in, full of the detail of family lives right down to the dogs! The story never falters whether in day to day life or the suspense elements that occur throughout the story until the final hectic showdown.. Her ability to describe tender moments, places and people are wonderful and yet she manages to get the suspense element build up to the eventual denouement. Highly recommended. Thanks to Little Brown and NetGalley for an Arc of this lovely book for an honest review.

I seriously loved this book. I've read many Nora Roberts before but they've always been a part of a series so taken place over a few months or a year. This was the first standalone that I've read that took place over years. I had no expectations for this storyline, I'd chosen this purely based on the fact it was written by Nora Roberts, I'd read no reviews and the synopsis didn't give too much away,
The book starts when Adrian is just 8 years old, the opening sentence "The first time Adrian Rizzo met her father, he tried to kill her." set the tone for the entire book. There is a high body count, without any gore and we race through Adrian's life, seeing her relationship with her mother and grandparents. Watching her go through school, make life long friends and progress into life on her own terms. She was such a great character, she almost made me want to take up exercise!
There are so many characters in here to love, Adrian and her friends and family are all people you'd want to have in your life.
Being a romance you want to know who's going to end up together, and I had this figured out within the first 10% of the book (along with who the bad guy was). I was happy with this, for me the thrill of the romance read is how the story progresses and gets to where we know it's going to end up. There were plenty of moments where I couldn't figure out how we could possibly get to a satisfactory ending. And there were tears. So many tears. I think this book had me wiping my eyes 3 times, you could often see how the story was building up to something happening. You felt for the characters, you loved them and then bam, then before you had chance to catch your breath, bam again. Midway through I was trying to catch my breath going "wow, I didn't see that coming".
Absolutely loved this and can't wait to see what Nora Roberts releases next.

An excellent romantic suspense novel that focuses on a young woman that begins to receive death threats and the way she deals with them. Nora Robert’s never disappoints!

As usual, Nora Roberts created an amazing story with complex characters, which the reader can see grow, from child to teenager to adult.

This book was great with the telling of the story and the characters, the progression of the relationships between characters was very well done. The suspense was done in a great way, which keep me guessing along with the others characters.

Overall, it was an amazing book and its going to be another one of my favorites to re-read many times. As usual, I simply love the books the Nora Roberts writes and how it pulls the reader in.
Can’t wait for more books by her.
