Totally insane, son‘s face was a picture.

The birds are on holiday, and chatting in their deckchairs. Kookaburra starts to learn where all the other birds can from... and can't believe his ears!

And who can blame him - Little Snoring? Pantyfallen? POO?!?! My son and I were both a bit gobsmacked. He was cackling at some of these.

I could hardly believe these were real place names, but it turns out each of them are. Says so, in the back. Who knew?

The names get more and more silly (though real of course, don't forget!), and the story is very amusing as even the birds see the funny side of it. My boy laughed every time we came to the next silly name.

Great illustrations, nice to try and identify a few new birds together. It he was older I might have read the final page with him, where each bird's hometown and its location is uncovered.

For ages 3-7. And for those who delight in silly words and place names.

Gorgeous illustrations and a hilarious collection of strange place names! Children will love this fast paced story, learning about where birds have come from prior to their holiday!

A very funny laugh out loud book. Will be enjoyed by those who loved “You”re called what?”, but also by those who live in places with names which cause people to exclaim “ You live where” in a true life context. A funny book, with the type of humour it’s target audience will love and great illustrations.

This picture book will have you giggling through the bookshelves. "You Live Where?!" from John Hay and Garry Parsons may well be filled with lots of silly phrases... but it's all super factual, fact fans!!

Down by the pool, at the start of the holidays, Kookaburra decides to get the conversation started by asking the most regular of questions, "where do you come from?"

An innocent enough question, to Roadrunner who is relaxing on the stripy lounge next to them... or so they thought!

Tucked in at the end, are all the details giving more information on the places mentioned in the book, and the birds that live there.

Populated with fun characters, Garry Parsons captures the scenes and personalities wonderfully - "You Live Where?!" really is a joy to read through.

This whimsical tale follows a similar style to Kes Gray’s You’re Called What?! which is one of our favourite books to read to our 3 year old. It revolves around a group of vacationing birds who are all excited to share where they’re from. And of course, they’re all from funny sounding places around the world.

The story itself is really well done but I didn’t find it as amusing as I had hoped. I’d recommend this to families with children aged 4 and up.

Wonderfully detailed, bright, colourful pictures with lots to look at beyond the text.

Text was fun & interesting, some places got a much better response than others from my 8 & 4 year olds (namely Poo, Pee Pee Town & Scratchy Bottom).

I enjoyed the bit ag the end telling the reader all about the places.

I adore the illustrations in this book, and I must say I'm very picky about children's books illustrations. I love how in the end it teaches about all the birds. I can imagine how children will giggle over all the place names. It is hilarious.

Perfect for fans of You’re Called What?- this book will introduce you to some familiar birds but with unfamiliar homes.
While on holiday, the birds get to chatting and introducing themselves. The kookaburra starts the conversation and is surprised to learn where his new friends are from.
It soon becomes apparent to him that they are making these places up but they try to assure him that they are not. Scratchy Bottom and Little Snoring are just a couple of the silly names being thrown around this book. Kookaburra is getting cross by the end but this is funny as well!
Sure to have children giggling and snickering, I think this is the perfect book to read aloud!

Imagine the laughter when you read Pee Pee Town or Pantyfallen!
Have fun with this one, it is sure to delight readers of all ages!

Great book that had me laughing at all the funny names, so I can imagine a child would literally be laughing so hard!
Great book that also had pretty colourful illustrations too.
And the good thing was - all the town's really do exist
