I thought that this was a fun read and it was one that made me smile.

I have a three year old daughter and I could relate to an awful lot of this book!

I loved the illustrations and it was a fun read.

It is 4 stars from me for this one - highly recommended!

This book was a truly wonderful read!. The character's were brilliant, and not at all the typical mums that are so often portrayed - instead the Mum's in this book were relatable and realistic. Each of them had their own strengths and weaknesses, which made them even more endearing and realistic to me.
Full of humour alongside some truly heart warming moments, I am sure this is a book that all mums out there would love, and also be able to relate to!.

How to Spot a Mum is a cute little book celebrating mothers - but misses some essential pages.

Despite the cute and colorful illustrations of How to Spot a Mum, this little book is extremely black and white. There are different types of mums described (the rebel mom, the chatty mum, the trendy mum, et cetera), but in an extremely stereotypical way. I understand, of course, that there was little space and everything needs to be taken with a grain of salt, but that doesn’t take away how flat the descriptions of these types of mothers is.

If this book added just a few more pages explaining that most mothers are a combination of all these different stereotypes, How to Spot a Mum could’ve actually given a bit of information to first-time moms, and this would’ve been a lovely little gift. Now, however, the whole thing falls a bit flat.

The illustrations and design of How to Spot a Mum are top-notch. They’re cute, diverse, and make me want to pick up the book despite the flat content. However, I won’t be buying this as a gift for pregnant friends any time soon.

What a gorgeous little book! I loved the information about mums around the world and how cultures differ. The illustrations were brilliant and so inclusive.

My favourite part was ‘tips for children of chatty mums: tell her you’ve organised a sponsored silence’ haha!

A quick read which is sharp, witty, warm and loving all at once. I think readers of all ages will enjoy this one.

A very quick easy to read book. Loved reading the different types of Mum and could definitely identify with a few of the different character profiles! Would make a great gift for Mother's Day or for a Baby Shower for a new Mum.

Great illustrations, bright & colourful. Also loved the diversity shown in this book.
Not really sure what audience this is aimed at though. Too young to be for mum but too old to interest my kids (8, 4 & 2).

This will be a lovely Mother’s Day gift. I especially loved the non traditional mum’s in this book, it’s not all cooking and housework like some children’s books would suggest and this book has a very relevant look at Mums and their differences and amazing abilities.. This is all done while still being sweet, funny and age appropriate. The illustrations are beautiful too and really make the book special.
