I haven’t read many books by Andy McNab, but this one sounded good. Die Hard on an underwater train. The action was great and that’s mostly what I read for.
While this book moved along nicely, I felt it took too long to get started.
I would definitely be interested in more books by McNab, though.

The description appealed to me .I tried to read it. Really. But I just couldn’t get into it. It was too much work to figure out what was actually happening to who in the first couple of chapters. Maybe it became clear later but I lacked the patience to persevere. Sorry.

A story that moves a a fair pace and has dramatic twists and turns that will keep you engage throughout the read. A descent read..

This is not normally the type of book I gravitate towards but I was vaguely aware that a movie is coming out with Sam Heughan as Tom Buckingham so I thought I would give it a try.

I'm so glad I did because this was incredible! The action was so well written and the story held my attention from the very beginning. Can't wait to read the next book in the series!!

I’ll start by saying that I’ve liked McNab’s writing in the past. For some reason, SAS Red Notice just didn’t do it for me. The story was a great one with a train full of hostages stuck in the Chunnel between England and France. The dialogue was snappy and sharp, yet also very stilted. However, the action scenes were exhilarating. I wish I had like this book more than I did.

Andy's writing brings to my mind a predator moving smoothly towards its prey. This is a very good thriller full of nuances and the story flows effortlessly towards its conclusion. Readers will also enjoy the insights into Laszlo’s early life and the making of a terrorist.A very good and entertaining read. 5 stars well deserved.

Comments: Although the plot might sound familiar Mc Nab has a unique storytelling prose that captures most genre readers into a complex thriller of non stop sometimes brutal action. I’ve followed McNabs writing career since his Nick Stone books. McNab is best when writing from the trenches. Fans of Mitch Rapp and other thriller writers will love McNab. Add him to your list

I read this book a few years ago, and I guess it’s being re-released since a movie is being made. It read a lot like a movie with loads of characters (that take awhile to straighten out) and lots of action. Ignoring some plot gaps is easy since the action moves at such a frenetic pace.
