This book was for months on my wish list and my future TBR list. So when I was granted this ARC I was soooo happy. ( To the Pluto and back! :-) )
But... I hate for saying this, but I didn't love this book how much I hope I would.
I am truly heart broken about this, because I wish I loved it, but it isn't the case.
I just do not love the main heroine Annika. I just don't. She on her high horse. She is so tough on Hudson.
Okay, she thought that he stole her idea, but he didn't. And after he explained everything, she is still self-righteous. So she believes in romance, and in love, but he as a CEO of Break up, doesn't mean that he is an a-h***.
He believes in love, but he also believes in right to say good bye. The app does not do the dumping, the people do. The app is just there...
She as a creator of an app, should know that.
For God sake, there is an app which would tell you when is your time to die. There is also a movie about this app.
My point is I get why is she mad, but she is in the wrong here... And Hudson paid the price.
... Sorry about the hate, but she just made me mad. I just never had a love/hate relationship towards heroine. Heros are always arrogant or pig-headed. And Heroins are sweet and nice... But in this case this was reversed.

I just couldn't connect with Annika. This was a cute idea of the book, and the writing is so lovely. But she is just a snooze.

3 stars... And I hope this would be a 10.

A sweet story of second chance romance between two rival tech creators. I'm conflicted about this book. Part of me really, really liked it, I thought that Annika's and Hudson's interaction were so cute I couldn't handle my feels, I really liked how Annika was shown to be independent and passionate for her app, no easy feat in the male dominated field of technology. The addition of the apps definitely added to the story and I loved reading about them. Hudson (slightly underdeveloped character-wise) was funny and sweet; the chemistry he created was amazing, definitely had my heart swooning. I thought Annika at times, read a little bit like a YA character, I wanted her to have a bit more maturity and got a bit frustrated with her. Although I could see her intentions behind hating Hudson's app, I couldn't really understand why; at the end of the day they are in a cut-throat industry and her demands to sacrifice the Break Up app is unrealistic.

For a initial foray into adult romance, it is a good debut novel. Overall a cute, enemies-kinda to lovers with amazing chemistry along with some fun tech rivalry. Thank you to the author and publisher for the e-arc via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

Enemies to lovers trope is always entertaining so I had high hopes for this one.I liked the writing style.I would have liked a bit more insight into what Hudson was thinking/feeling and think alternating pov’s might have been beneficial. I liked Annika and her dedication to her goals and succeeding in a profession that is generally male dominated. The interactions between characters was also good but I did find it a little frustrating that Annika and Hudson didn’t really c0mmunicate properly about what had happened between them until the end especially given the nature/basis of her app. Overall though an entertaining read worth a look.

The story of Hudson and Annika, who have rival apps. Things become more competitive when he moves in to the office next door and is suddenly everywhere. Will they become more than enemies? As the story unfolds and he reveals why he created the app you understand more about him as a person and hope she gives him a chance.

A great read.
