Rose Vernon has been to hell and back. While working toward her PhD in archaeology, she was beset by illness. So tired all the time, the doctors investigated and found she had aplastic anemia. The outcome was grim without a bone marrow donor. One day she received the call that a donor was found.

Post recovery, Rose was able to finish her doctorate and move on with her life. Then her beloved grandmother who raised her passed away. When her mother came back for the funeral, she delivered a letter to Rose from her grandmother. In it her grandmother urged her to find her donor to say thank you. A closure to that part of her life.

So Rose contacted the donor, indirectly, and received a polite response. But Rose was intrigued. After applying for a grant for a summer position on the Cornish seaside, Rose isheaded right to where she believes that donor resides. What Rose finds in the small town of Falford might be more than just her life-saving donor.

Phillipa Ashley delivers another perfect summer novel. The seaside town of Falford, the delightful Rose, the Morvah brothers and the entire community make me want to pack up and head there immediately! Ms Ashley creates settings that you simply dive into. Our protagonist, Rose, has had quite the life of ups and downs. You will definitely find yourself rooting for her and what she wants. The rest of the townies are unique in their own skins.

The book is lovely and such a fun book to read. Beach, poolside or in the dead of winter, you won’t want to put this one down.

What a lovely summer book! I loved the setting and could imagine being there. Whilst following Rosie’s story of the loss of her grandmother and her life changing stem cell donation. I loved the characters and how their relationships evolved. I did find the premise of how she tracked down her donor and worked out it was either of the brothers a bit confusing but like how it ended. Great read

This book doesn’t half pull at you heart strings. Rose’s life takes an unexpected change for the worse ending up with her in hospital needing a lifesaving treatment. But she need to find a match, so time is ticking when an anonymous donor is found.
Luckily everything works but as time passes as well as her grandma, she begins to want to know about her mysterious donor. She sends a letter via the donor register and receives a short but sweet reply and a postmark on the envelope. So she decides to search for them. But as well as doing her job, making friends, not is as easy as she first thought

I've read a lot of Phillipa's books & they are always very relatable, light hearted & lovely, this one was no different!

You can really see how much research Phillipa has done for this book, both regarding Rose's job & her illness. It was something I wasn't aware of so this was a good insight & makes you think how important it is to be on the donor register! Her job sounded really interesting too & I loved exploring with her. I've never been to Cornwall & it definitely made me want to visit!

Rose was such a likeable character & I loved how involved in the community she became. I loved the idea of her searching for her donor & her not knowing which of the Morvah brothers it was. It keeps you guessing right until the end & I kept changing my mind who I thought it would be! Her growing close to both Finn & Joey was well done & in the end I'm glad she fell in love with the brother I hoped she would 🥰💕!

'An Endless Cornish Summer' by Phillipa Ashley is the perfect, lighthearted and fun summer read. Set in Falford, in Cornwall, the scenery is unsurprisingly beautiful - and I have a 'wishlife' of places that I want to visit after finishing this book.
Quite often in lighter books, the character development can be ignored in favour of adding in lots of little side plots to the main storyline, but thankfully Ashley has avoided that error and the wonderful characters are one of the best aspects of this story. It is easy to imagine people that you know in several facets of these characters, which adds to the overall fun of the storyline.
The story moves rapidly but not so quickly that keeping up is an issue. There are plenty of laugh of loud moments, courtesy of the local events and our heroine's attempts to find her donor.
As I said, this is the perfect summer read.

4 years after a life saving stem cell transplant Rose is in Cornwall to spend the summer working on an archaeological dig. She is also hoping to be able to track down the anonymous donor who saved her life.
Basing herself in the fishing village of Falford Rose quickly finds herself being drawn into village life.
She also gets to know the Morvah brothers Joey & Finn. Rose suspects that one of them could be her donor but as she gets closer to them both she feels more and more torn about telling them the truth of who she is.
Over the summer Rose makes new friends and tries new things but once the summer is over she will have some big decisions to make.
I loved the setting and the characters. The dynamic between Rose and both of the brothers was brilliant.

After losing her grandmother Rose decides to see if she can track down the man who donated his bone marrow and saved her life. She finds herself in Cornwall on a dig but also close to where she believes her donor is. She soon has it narrowed down but then her heart decides to take over, maybe its not the donor she's looking for but a new love.

Oh I really enjoyed this. After a couple of weeks being let down by books, this more than made up for them. The plot is simple and fun. The romance is cute and of course full of the usual highs and lows. I had figured out the ending and the idenity of the donor but I still enjoyed the ride. Rose is a great main character, her zest for life after what she's been through really shines through. I loved Oriel as well, what a great friend. The ending was well written and finished the story off exactly how i hoped it would. This also carries the important message of why being on donor registations can make all the difference to someone. A brilliant summer, beach read.

I really enjoyed this novel. I love all of Phillipa's books which are set in Cornwall and this one was no different. It had such an important message in the storyline and it really made me think about those bone marrow donors and thinking about signing up to the register myself.

It was magical and a great read. Can't wait to see if there will be another novel in this series.

Beautiful story, I adored the setting. The descriptions of Cornwall were just gorgeous, this book was a much needed Summery escape. Rose was a great main character and I loved following her journey and the quirky characters she met along the way. Beautiful story too that wasn’t just your everyday run of the mill romance plot.

A lovely escapist summer read. The author paints a wonderful picture of Cornwall with her words and you can almost smell the sea! Good characters and an enjoyable read, an armchair holiday to Cornwall.

What an enchanting read! Rose Vernon is on a mission. To track down and thank the donor who helped save her life. With just a postcard from him depicting the most perfect Cornish view she finds herself in the very same picture postcard Cornish fishing village of Falford. Thanks to her lecturer position as an architect, Rose secures funding to oversee a local dig for the summer. She rents a ramshackle flat (but, the views!) from the sparkly and funny Orion and meets the Morvah brothers...is Finn or Joe her donor? If not who is?
Over the course of the summer as Rose learns to sail, she not only gets closer to the brothers, but closer to discovering who it is she needs to thank.
This was just the perfect summer read. I love everything about the magical cast of characters from Orion and her girlfriend, the swoonsome brothers (and their slightly scary mum!) to Rose and her unusual family.
A little side note I felt the title didn't really match the plot or the characters - not that it matters a great deal but the book is so so much better than the title implies :)

Perfect read! A book you can truly get lost in and believe you are there with them. If you looking for a book to get you in the summer feel then look no further.

ah,ahh Women's Fiction again....its 2021 people.

Well, its a sweet story, stretches credibility to think Rose could find her donor that easily, then just find the perfect place to stay, make new friends etc, but -its fiction. It makes for a sweet read, gentle romance, and of course the Cornish setting is beautiful. There's a few bits of drama creep in but nothing very heavy, its very much a gentle beach read.
I really liked Rose, she'd been through so much. She still worked hard though, and got into her chosen field, and now she's off exploring more of history. Nigel and the YouTube links – that made me laugh. There are people like him everywhere, convinced the answer to everything is on a conspiracy site, and that people who've studied a subject in depth are simply wrong, misguided, simply need showing the error of their beliefs. Primary source materials, peer reviewed papers, all pale into comparison against a website set up by someone's cousin's, friend's, brother, who knows absolutely whats right because he went to evening classes in extra terrestrials...or math. Something like that ;-) Covid has brought loads out!
Characters are like-able, Cornwall is gorgeous and I want to go out on a boat. Preferably with a lovely handsome man of course!

Stars: three, Its a fun read, easy to follow but a little light for me.

This is a perfect summer read, transports you to Cornwall, sunshine and holidays, just what i needed in this summer of 2021.
While studying for a PhD, Rose is taken ill and needs a bone marrow transplant which fortunately she received. Once she's recovered, with the encouragement of her grandmother, she takes a job and heads for the seaside town of Falford in Cornwall to track down her donor. The descriptions of the places, the landscapes and the people are wonderful and draw you right in.
We travel with Rose as she finds possible candidates, she begins to become part of the community, but her secret reason for being there becomes more difficult to reveal as she settles in and forms relationships. There is romance, she becomes involved with one of a pair of brothers, but is pulled towards the other-is one of them her donor?
As with all of Phillipa's books there are ups and downs, sad moments and laughter. This is a happy summer read though and that shines through.
I can't be on the beach this summer to read this, but I can pretend and this book helps
Highly recommended.

This story follows Rose, a young woman who has just moved to the town of Falford for her archaeology career, while also hoping to uncover who the mysterious organ donor that saved her life is. She discovers new friends, and finds herself chatting with 2 local brothers who she quickly connects with, but eventually she must make the right choice for herself.

I thought this was a cute read, and perfect for summer!! The setting truly makes you feel like you are right there in town with the characters, and I love the nautical theme. Rose’s journey is very relatable, and the chapters go by quickly and easily. My only drawback was some of the lingo was a touch difficult for me to follow at first but I got the hang of it quickly!! For that reason, I am giving this book ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. Definitely recommend to those who love a good summer read!

Another great read from Phillipa.

Rose had a brink with death when she was diagnosed with aplastic anaemia and had to find a bone marrow donor. After the death of her gran she decides to find her donor and thank him. She is an archaeologist and traces her donor to Cornwall where an dig opportunity comes up and she takes the chance of trying to identify who her donor is. Whilst in Cornwall she narrows it down to one of two brothers due to the donor sending a card from an artist who used to be based there. Will she find out who her donor is and we’ll she get the ending she wants.

I loved this book from start to finish and really didn’t want to put the book down. Such a feel good read. Worth recommending to add on to your summer reads.

I really enjoyed this book, it is my first Phillipa Ashley story, It is based on a young lady who finds herself heading to a small Cornish village to find the man who saved her life.
I love the detail in this story of the location and the characters, I was able to picture myself being there looking out at the view of the community from rose’s window. It is a lovely story of hope and friendship. I will definitely be looking out for more Philippa Ashley books. If you haven’t read it I would definitely recommend it, it is a lovely summer read. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Charming and heart-warming, An Endless Cornish Summer is the perfect summer read!

This story follows Rose, a young woman recovering from a life-threatening condition and hoping to get her life back on track. Determined to make the most of her second chance at life, Rose seizes the opportunity to move to Cornwall for a summer position. Of course, the fact that her life-saving donor may or may not be Cornish has nothing to do with her decision...

Rose soon settles into the rhythm of village life, becoming a familiar face around the small town where she's based. Rose's summer becomes much more interesting than she'd planned, with new friends and a sizzling love triangle in store!

Rose is a brilliant main character. She's likeable, down-to-earth, and I could easily see myself in certain facets of her personality. The rest of the characters are also great, breathing life into the story. From quirky Oriel to the mysterious Morvah brothers, there are plenty of strong characters in this book. There's also a healthy dose of humour at the expense of the universally disliked Nige!

Myths and legends are another strong theme in the book. Cornwall is known for its folklore, and some of these ancient tales and historical sites are brought to life in the pages of this book.

An Endless Cornish Summer is a delight and it was over far too soon. It's immersive, well written, and will instantly transport you to the beautiful Cornish coast!

This is a nice summer read, the first half seems very drawn out , it’s not taxing and the characters are quite easy to read, one of my pet hates is lots of over thinking and questions not being asked and this book is full of them, if you just want an easy read round the pool this is the book for you
