This was a terrific, albeit short, collection of inspiring stories about female leaders. Many thanks to Netgalley and the publishers for making it available well before the historic moment of Kamala Harris being sworn in as the first female vice president. It was interesting to read something about the future before history has been made.

Each profile contains some really interesting background and challenges that each women faced, accompanied by beautiful artwork on the opposing page (along with an inspiring quote). One can learn so much even about the people who are well known and ever more so of those who one may not. I couldn't recommend this more to young girls and even boys or non-binary children. All of the women in this book are wonderful examples of determination, hard work and overcoming adversity. Even if success does not last or come right-away, there's reason to persevere. The final section of a quiz of leadership type and other activities are also wonderful because they allow the child to really engage with the content and to find out that there are so many different ways to lead.

I hope that Rebel Girls will consider also shining a light on women who may not be in the public eye as well.

I might be reluctant to purchase a book with only 25 stories unless the price was adequate. It would have been wonderful to learn about even more women from the non-English speaking parts of the world.

I cried with happiness and joy at reading all of the stories of triamph and glory!
This book will be an absolute joy to buy for my daughter, full of wonderful role models!

We're all familiar with the Rebel Girls format by now. This book picks some of the women who have featured in other books, along with new entries, specialising in women who are leaders in various fields. As always, each entry in illustrated by a different female artist; I think my favourite is the stunning Oprah Winfrey picture, but they're all gorgeous in different ways. I couldn't tell any difference between the new entries and the old ones, either, they're all well up to the same high standards.

I really enjoyed this. I think it's a fabulous addition to the series, and I can't wait to see it in person.

This book was absolutely adorable and I loved the variety of girls and women shown, both where they were from and how old they were, especially the younger girls, who'll inspire the girls reading this book that they can make change even from a young age. The art was stunning.

Thank you to Rebel Girls and NetGalley for providing this ARC.

Thank you to @netgalley, the publisher and author for gifting me this free e-ARC in exchange for my honest review.

I loved this book and loved learning a bit about women who help change the world bot by bit. There are some I already know about and some I've just learned about. What I like about this book is that the stories are short and summarize key points of the life of the woman it's about.

The illustrations are marvelous and I will try and find the other rebel girls books.

I haven't read any book from the Rebel Girls series yet, so I'd like to thank NetGalley and the publishers for giving me an opportunity to be inspired by these 25 women.

I feel ashamed that I didn't know about many of the indigenous and women of colour mentioned in this book before. They've done so much to help make the lives of people in their community better and safer everyday, and I'm hopeful that reading stories of such brilliant women will inspire girls and transwomen all over the world.

The last few pages of this book have a worksheet for every reader to explore their leadership skills and put them to practice in a real-world simulation setting. I hope parents and educators use these questions as shooting-off points for further discussions about feminism, equality, leadership, and being a helpful rebel.

Staying true to the previous Rebel Girls books, Rebel Girls Lead doesn't disappoint. These leaders all have inspiring stories to share. This book sends a powerful message to girls everywhere that they can truly achieve greatness in many ways. I really enjoyed reading about these groundbreaking female leaders from all over the world and different walks of life.

I really enjoyed Rebel Girls Lead by Rebel Girls. I think it has a lot of women that are not usually covered in the world of biographies represented. I liked that it had small personal stories about each individual rather than just the standard facts that are present in other compilations.

I took my time reading this book to my two girls. Either at breakfast or over lunch each day I would read about one person. We really loved this book... or in the words of my six year old “we don’t like it. We love it!”. Thanks for writing another amazing Rebel Girls book.

Such a cute book! I love the idea of the Rebel Girls series, and they're perfect for younger readers. I really liked the fact this book has space at the back for you to put yourself in as an entry. If I have one complaint, it would be that they're a little Western centric, I'd really love to see more Rebel Girls from Africa and Asia.

What a fabulous read! This was short and sweet for me, as an adult, but what a book! It's the book I wish I had been given as a child, as with all of the Rebel Girl books. With a rise of women running for office across the world, this book is important to all young people to know that women/girls have a voice that can make changes, be impactful and change the world.

I have already recommended to my friends with daughters and will definitely use for classroom inspiration in the future. Thank you Netgalley for the ARC in exchange for an honest review!

Absolutely loved this one just like the other two I’ve read from this series! I didn’t realize that half of these stories would be taken word for word from the previous installments but I still enjoyed learning about all the ladies. I think having just read the first Rebel Girls book I remembered the repeat stories so I felt like I was skipping large portions of the stories. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who hasn’t read from this series yet!

I read a lot of books about women in history and it is not often that there is a large selection of women in them I am not familiar with. This book contains a large variety of women leaders that goes beyond the normal offering. With short text about each one and beautiful illustration this is a great resource for all ages.

Inspired by the election of vice president Kamala Harris, this is yet another wonderful addition to the Rebel Girls’ book collection. All about women in leadership positions, this book depicts unique, diverse women from around the world. I especially love the attention to detail each page delivers, as well as the inspiration these books provide for the younger generations. A must-have for any rebel girl, boy, or person!

This was short and sweet. I love that the creators of Rebel Girls published a collection of stories to highlight powerful women to commemorate Kamal Harris. Would highly recommend to all age groups.

This was fun! I liked this a lot! I thought the illustrations were really nice, I liked the different stories we got from the different Rebel Girls. I think my favorites overall were Kamala and Cleopatra! Its a nice quick read, and informative but not too informative that it feels like a bore or a drag! They give you the important bits, and tell what you they stood for!

I love the idea of this book, it is brightly colored, not too long, and I love the action items at the back (the quiz and how to get started in activism). The downsides to it were the writing style. It was a weird combination of overly simplistic, short sentences with words and concepts that this age range wouldn't understand. My 10-year-old daughter asked me what I was reading and when I showed her, she said she wouldn't read it. While I doubt that is true, for some reason it didn't initially appeal to her. Also, while there was a large variety of women and occupations represented (from gymnasts to pharaohs to politicians) the politicians and activism were all very democratic and "left" leaning. I would love to have seen a more balanced representation.

This book is beautiful in so many ways! The stories are the perfect length to keep my daughter engaged and the illustrations are captivating. The concise one page format makes the stories easily digestible and perfect for a little reading session or bed time story. I loved being able to find a book with real stories of amazing women to share with my daughters. The target of this book is middle grade, but my daughters who are younger than that, have liked these stories. I also very much enjoyed learning about some women I didn’t know about or just enhancing my knowledge of women I already knew of. There’s something here for everyone, so I think this book would be good for any reader.

This particular book covers 25 different women, from different backgrounds, past and present that impacted the world in some positive way. Each woman has a one page narrative with an illustrated portrait. There’s a place at the end for you to write your own story and draw your own illustration, which I thought was a fun and nice touch. There’s also a leadership quiz and resources linked at the end.

Women covered in this book are Aly Raisman, Angela Merkel, Ann Richards, Cleopatra, Elizabeth I, Eufrosina Cruz, Giusi Nicolini, Harriet Tubman, Jacinda Ardern, Kamala Harris, Lady Gaga, Leymah Gbowee, Malala Yousafzai, Mary Barra, Melinda Gates, Michelle Obama, Oprah Winfrey, Pat Summitt, Rigoberta Menchu Tum, Ruth Bader Ginsberg, Sonia Sotomayor, Stacy Abrams, Tammy Duckworth, Wilma Mankiller + Xiye Bastida.
