A bit of a mess, to be honest. From the title on there are some big issues. How is there a giraffe or a fish in a book that is said to be about farm and forest creatures?
At the beginning when the author goes over tools, they say that there will be no hooks smaller than size C used. But the first pattern for cats uses a B size hook.
There is a lack of consistency in how the authors are listed. Some say first and last name, plus state and city. Some only list first name and state. Some only list last name and country. I don't care what format is used, but it should consistent throughout the book.
Similarly, the blurbs at the beginning of each pattern do not seem to go together. It would appear that each different author wrote their own. This should be rectified again in the name of consistency.
There are some decent patterns here, but overall it is not likely one I would use.

I fell in love with this book of crochet patterns! The animals, page layout and the photography are perfect. The instructions are clear, the colours pleasing and the animals are simply adorable. I’d be very happy to purchase a paperback copy and in the meantime I’m grateful to Netgalley, publisher, author and contributors for the opportunity to review a digital copy.

This is a cute compilation of crochet patterns from all different crafters. A lot of the animals looked kind of dated and ordinary to me, while there were a few that used some fun, novel techniques. There are detailed instructions and photos, though they just seemed overwhelming to me as a novice crocheter (I'll stick to hats). I'm not sure I need to make a lot of little woodland crochet animals, but if I did this would be a good starting point.

I read a temporary digital ARC of this book for review.

Great little book for beginners in crochet or to amigurumi, full of lovely and cute patterns that are basic and simple so not to scare anyone new, the instructions are clear and in plain English, there are also great pictured step by step instructions at the beginning for some of the stitches. Brightly presented and appealing this is a great lit crochet book

Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for a free copy for an honest opinion

The patterns are written in US terms and are by several designers. I loved the wide range of animals available. Some with cute accessories. I found the instructional photos for both the stitches and the toys clear and easy to understand and ideal as a reference if you need help.

Each toy has a colour code of what colours are used for each toy. Which is great so you can prepare. They don't use a particular brand, just a type, which gives you more freedom of choice.

The instructions are clear and easy to follow. I class myself as intermediate at crochet that can read patterns. I would recommend this book to a confident beginner because there are only a few basic stitches used.

Overall this is a great book that covers lots of fun animals and would be a great addition to your crochet stash.

Wonderful cute animals. Very clear instructions, easy to follow and fairly easy too. A good book for both those starting to crochet and those more accomplished.

There are some really cute animals in this book that I haven't seen other places. The beaver is adorable. I love the little birds in the nest, my grandson loves birds so I'll make them for him. The instructions with pictures are a great asset.
