Olivia Carson has not seen her younger sister, Lily, since Lily ran away at the age of sixteen. Lily was pregnant and refused to abort or put her unborn child up for adoption. Lily writes once a year and sends pictures of her son but has no further contact with Olivia. Olivia is shocked when Josh, her thirteen-year-old nephew, shows up at her home with a notarized document saying if she goes missing….

Josh suffered a fall in the past left him struggling to communicate verbally. It is difficult for him to tell Olivia what happened or where his mother might be. Both Olivia and Josh are frustrated, both want answers, and both want to find Lily. Soon Olivia realizes that Josh's artwork may hold the answer. Will his artwork provide enough information to help her track down her sister?

This is an enjoyable first book in the "No More" series. This series is off to a great start as this book is full of family secrets and dysfunction which will keep readers on their toes. Lonsdale has crafted a book full of secrets, likeable and unlikeable characters and deception. I found it to be beautifully written, entertaining and enjoyable. Although I was not as blown away as other reviewers by this book, my three-star rating means I enjoyed the book.

Overall, a compelling read and promising start to a new series. Fans of Lonsdale will not be disappointed. Plus, there is a little "something" at the end of the book which left me intrigued and curious about the direction in which the next book will go!

Lonsdale has stepped up her intrigue and suspense game with the start of this new series!

Olivia Carson has always had trouble with relationships, whether with guys or even family. It largely stems from when her little sister Lily ran away from home after she got pregnant at sixteen. Their father wanted her to abort the baby and their mother wanted to put the baby up for adoption, so she ran away to keep it. She’s never returned home but sends a picture of her son Josh each year on his birthday to Olivia. The letters stopped coming recently and then something completely unexpected happens, Josh shows up at Olivia’s house alone and doesn’t know what happened to his mom.

Josh had an accident recently where he hit his head and now has trouble forming words to explain what has happened. Olivia quickly realizes that Josh has a gift for drawing and urges him to draw his memories to show what happened to Lily. Hopefully together they can save Lily before something worse happens!

Kerry Lonsdale is a master at pulling readers into her stories. With unforgettable characters, sometimes mixed with a flair of the supernatural, she creates stories that readers will want to read again and again. This book didn’t have the supernatural aspect that several of her previous hinted at, but it was remarkable none the same. She amped up the suspense and intrigue to pull readers in and wouldn’t let up until then end. Another well-known attribute of her writing is the deception she weaves through the pages, typically at the hands of a specific character. There is plenty in this book, but maybe not where readers fully expect. Most gets revealed, but I bet there is plenty more in the two future installments that will have readers reeling when they find out the whole truth.

Lonsdale also shines a light on the condition of aphasia that can occur after a brain bleed. She manages to bring much more than just a fictional tale in each one of her books and this is no different. There is quite a bit of foul language throughout (to be expected with the characters) as well as a somewhat graphic sex scene (and maybe a few memories) between two of the characters that will require audiences be more mature to fully enjoy this novel.

I have read all of Kerry’s books and was thrilled when I heard about this new trilogy!! Kerry made me feel all the feels for these dysfunctional siblings. This book is full of drama, suspense, and romance. Torn apart by a series of tragic events, I fell in love with the Carson children and absolutely cannot wait for the second and third installment of this series. She is an amazing story teller and I love each of her books more than the last!

Suspenseful, fun, and a perfect page-turner. I am thrilled this is the beginning of a trilogy. I am so here for it! A perfect summer, beach read and book club read. I highly recommend this book. I was so excited to get this book. Having read and enjoyed all of Kerry's books, I had high expectations for a stunner. This book did not meet them.
I like a good balance of dialogue, internal narration and description. This novel did not have the right balance for me to enjoy. It had too much character conversation and hardly anything else. All the he said/she said character dialogue caused the plot to drag. It was these big chunks of conversation, page after page, that put me off the whole story.
I lost interest fairly early in the book and skimmed the rest. The writing just felt very disconnected and stilted. Such a disappointment from an otherwise wonderful author.

Wow, Kerry Lonsdale really knows how to spin a suspenseful story. From the minute Olivia’s nephew, Josh, shows up on her doorstep without his mom, I was hooked. This is the first in a new series and there were a few loose ends that I know I have to wait for No More Lies to find the answers too. If you haven’t read any of Kerry Lonsdale’s books I highly recommend picking them up. I’ve never been disappointed.

This is the first book in a trilogy . I was honored to be given an ARC in exchange for my honest opinion. Kerry Lonsdale has yet to disappoint me. Each new story brings multiple genres and lots of emotions.

No More Words is the story of Olivia, lies told, secrets kept, love, loss, dysfunction and misunderstanding. Though multiple families, the Carson’s and the Whitman’s, stories unfold…it’s really about one woman’s recollection of her past to figure out the present. Lin’s nephew shows up unannounced and alone. Unable to speak well or tell his reason for being there, Liv must solve the clues to find her nephews mother and figure out what’s going on. Lonsdale creates imagery so well (as she does) of a childhood during summers at the lake, I found myself reminiscing.

There is plenty of suspense and mystery to keep a reader interested while a complex family story is told in a way only Lonsdale creates. True to the authors past writings, the reader will experience inviting scenery and tender moments.

I can’t wait to see where Lonsdale takes us in the next installment of No More.

No More Words is a perfect summer read filled with deceit, lies, and mystery. Olivia Carson's family is the epitome of a dysfunctional family. From the age of 8-12 yrs old her parents would drop her, her younger brother Lucas and younger sister Lily off with family friends who had two son's Blaze and Tyler for the summer. All three children enjoyed that time with a traditional family and then it all abruptly ended and tension in the family grew out of control. Olivia had an ongoing romance with Blaze that began that last summer away and ended the first time in high school. While Olivia was in college, Lucas was sent to a juvenile detention center, and Lily got pregnant by Olivia's new boyfriend Ethan and ran away from home at the age of 16 and hasn't been seen since. Olivia is unable to forgive Lily or Ethan for the betrayal although they deny it. Fast forward to the present and Olivia is surprised by a 13 year old boy, Lily's son on her front yard. He has difficulty communicating due to a brain injury so searching for Lily is like trying to find the missing pieces to a puzzle; one thing is certain her sister was hiding from someone and feared for her life and her nephew's. Olivia is forced to revisit her past and questions everything she thought she knew. The lies and manipulation come to light and the meaning behind a recurrent childhood nightmare is solved. I eagerly await the next book in the series

Olivia's fondest memories are of summers spent at the cabin with her siblings when they were young. Blaze and his brother and her siblings spent long lazy days enjoying the sun, the cool water and magical hikes. Until her brother ruined it all. As an adult her life us very different. She does not speak to her siblings and struggles to let people in, even Blaze. Nightmares plague her sleep and her missing sister is a blip on her radar after the way she betrayed her. Until her son shows up on her door step, terrified and not making sense. Something has happened to her sister and her son and she has no idea how to find her. To make matters worse something about that time all those years ago doesn't make sense. What really happened then and now? Olivia won't stop until she knows, no matter how much the truth might hurt.
Another great read by the author that sucked me in and would not let me go, even now ! I'm really looking forward to more from this world!

A great read for the first book, No More Words, part of a trilogy by Kerry Lonsdale. The Carson family story has much mystery and suspence to keep you hooked up to the very last page. Get to know siblings Olivia, Lucas, and Lily and how their lives are changed by experiences growing up in a seemingly functional family. But, when family secrets are revealed, turns out the Carson's may not be quite as functional as your first led to believe. The story is told with wonderful twists and turns, like the author, Kerry Lonsdale, is very good a conveying. Your definitely left with excited anticipation for what happens next in, No More Lies, the second book of the trilogy. So, delve into the first story of this fantastic read!

Imagine having your long lost sister's son show up on your porch, unable to speak, unable to tell you what's real or what to expect next. Olivia is Lily's older sister and this is their story. No More Words is the first in a new trilogy and will be.the perfect beach read you've been looking for.

Olivia is working on getting her life in order, she continues to have childhood nightmares spawned by memories she can't sort through. Unable to commit to her current relationship, she remembers a long lost love and the hurt losing him caused her through the years. So much is tied into the loss of her younger sister Lily, who ran away and was reported missing as a young teenager. She knows the story her family has told her, but now she's experiencing her doubts. A complicated relationship with her mother and her doting father leaves her struggling to understand what could be happening when Josh shows up on her doorstep.

A fast paced story, with deep character development will keep you turning the pages until the last word, leaving you with No More Words to explain the complex ending and start to the next book in the trilogy. I can't wait for more!

No More Words was an interesting story, the description grabbed me and the book did not disappoint. I liked the writing style and enjoyed the characters.
When I first got this book I didn't realise it was the first book in a series. I found that the ending left some questions unanswered and I look forward to reading the next book to see what happens next.

I love Kerry's stories and am always excited when she has a new book out. No More Words is the first book in her amazing new trilogy. Her stories are always full of caring, interesting people with just the right amount of unexpected twists. There's never a dull moment in one of Kerry's stories, that's for sure.

No More Words starts out innocently enough, with Oliva and her siblings staying at a friend's cabin for the summer, something they did every year... until they didn't. Years later, when Olivia's nephew shows up on her doorstep all by himself, her life changes as she starts the search for her long lost sister.

I loved everything about this story and found myself racing through the pages, loving the drama and suspense as well as the complicated, satisfying relationships. Kerry's characters are always so likeable and down-to-earth, just like good friends would be.

I'm not sure where the next story, No More Lies, is going to take us but I'm excited to find out. The hard part is that we have to wait until next summer for the next book in the series. But that's okay, I know it'll be worth the wait! I highly recommend No More Words for an exciting summer read!

No More Words centers around the Carson family. We first meet them as young children being dropped off for the summer at the lake. Olivia, Lucas and Lily make friends at the lake who will last a lifetime. But not all is well in the Carson family. They are dysfunctional to say the least. When Olivia's nephew, who she has never met shows up at her house without his mother Lily, things are about to get even more interesting.
With characters so flawed that they feel real, a lot of family drama and some mystery thrown in this book has it all.
I cannot wait for the next book!

This is not my 1st book by Kerry. Each book that I read gets better and better than the last one.
The plot keeps you right at the edge of your seat, unsure where it will end.
Waiting until May 2022, is too long!

Kerry Lonsdale begins a new series with this enticing novel about the Carson family. Well-written with complex, flawed characters, secrets, lies, betrayals, romance, and mystery, this fast-paced and twisted read will appeal to many.

As the book begins, it is the summer of 1995. Dwight and Charlotte Carson are dropping off their three children (Olivia, 8; Lucas, 6; and Lily, 3) at the lakeside cabin belonging to Harold (a co-worker of Charlotte's) and Rhonda Whitman, where they will spend the next six weeks. It is the first time the children have been away from their parents for this amount of time and the kids are nervous about it. Their parents on the other hand, have no qualms at all, and are in such a rush to go that they leave the children in the driveway and drive off without looking back.

Fortunately, the Whitmans are so welcoming that the children soon begin to feel at ease. Olivia already knows their oldest son Theo (Blaze) 8, as they are in the same class at school and meets his younger brother, Tyler, 5. The summer is full of adventure, and the Carson children thrive in the attention of the Whitman adults and their loving family atmosphere. They return each summer for several years and it is the highlight of their youth.

Fast forward to the present day, when Lily's son, Josh 13, appears at Olivia's home. Due to an accident that left him with brain damage, Josh has trouble communicating and cannot tell Olivia where his mother is. It is obvious though that he is distraught and wants Olivia's help in finding her. Olivia has been out of touch with Lily for 14 years and has no way to contact her. As she attempts to help Josh, she uncovers information that makes her doubt much of what she thought she knew about her family, and forces her to see past events in new ways.

The story is mostly told from Olivia's POV. There is enough resolution of plot lines to satisfy the reader, yet Lonsdale leaves some questions unanswered, perfectly setting up the second book in the series. An enjoyable and quick read, I look forward to the next book in the series.

I was completely blown away with No More Words, the latest novel by Kerry Lonsdale.

As soon as I started reading, I couldn’t put the book down. The story is dramatic with elements of a mystery thrown in. When Olivia’s younger sister’s son shows up on her doorstep one day, she knows there is something terribly wrong. However, as Josh cannot physically speak, Olivia is left trying to piece together the puzzle. As she begins to dive into her family’s past, she soon realizes there is much more to learn than she ever knew.

This book is the author’s best book, and tops the list as one of my favorite reads of 2021. It is fast-paced with shocking moments scattered throughout, which left me craving to see what happened next. As with her other books, there is a profound understanding of the human psyche, which adds a level of intense passion for the characters. I loved rooting for the complex character of Olivia. As the truth is revealed, parts of her life start to become foreign to her. I felt my heart breaking along with her, shedding tears along side her, as truths became lies.

No More Words is a profound, spectacular book. Dealing with topics which might be a trigger for some, it is well-written, candid, and genuine. I recommend reading it when it can be read in one sitting, as once the book is started it is near impossible to put down.

Let me first say that I can not wait to read the second book in this new triology.
