Another amazing book by the extremely talented Kerry Lonsdale! I have read every one of her books & they do not disappoint. No ‘ore Words is no exception, it kept me on the edge of my seat, wanting more. I couldn’t wait to figure out what was going to happen next. Kerry has such a way of making you fall in love with the characters & hoping for the best outcome for them all. I am so happy to have gotten to do an early read on this book & am looking forward to the next two books in the series.

Olivia’s youngest sister, Lily, ran away twelve years ago, and they haven’t been in contact since. When a young boy turns up on Olivia’s doorstep one day, he comes with only his name, “Josh”, and a note, giving Olivia power of attorney over Josh in the event of Lily’s disappearance. Due to Josh’s traumatic brain injury, he cannot provide Olivia with details about Lily- is she alive? How did he find her? What happened to Lily? Olivia is forced to use all of her resources to find out the truth and reunite Josh with Lily, if at all possible. Doing this uncovers old wounds and family secrets, both of which Olivia has spent years trying to bury.
“No More Words” is the beginning of a new series by author, Kerry Lonsdale. As with her other novels (I have been privileged to be given early copies of most of her other novels), “Words” is full of suspense, romance, intrigue and family drama.
The story is told in two time periods, mostly narrated by Olivia (although her brother Lucas makes an appearance in a few of the modern chapters), during the summer of her childhood and in present day. Right from the beginning, Olivia’s family seems a bit off (you just know there are skeletons in that closet!), and the speculation begins. The three siblings are close as children, then become slowly estranged over time, each battling their own demons. The realistic depiction of a dysfunctional sibling relationship is emotional and honest, and I sympathized with all three of the Carson siblings.
Lily’s son, Josh, has to be my favourite character. Lonsdale depicts his struggle with communication so accurately, it was heart-wrenching. I felt for Josh as he tried to speak the words that his mouth wouldn’t form. A resilient boy to say the least, he hitchhikes to an unknown aunt’s house, in the quest to find his missing mother.
Lonsdale’s writing is smart and creative, making each chapter as addictive and page-turning as the one before. Her characters are realistic, and the family dynamics are dysfunctional and honest. The ending has a nice, unexpected twist, as is typical with Lonsdale, and yet it still manages to seem believable. Of course, not everything is resolved (there are two more books forthcoming after all), but I definitely felt content and satisfied when I got to the last page! I look forward to the second novel in this series, and I really loved the teaser for book two that Lonsdale provided!

No More Words is the first book in Kerry’s new series. I’m super sad we’ll have to wait until next year for book #2 😔.... I’m ready for more NOW!! -Especially after reading that preview for No More Lies at the end of this book. 😱 What in the world will happen next?! Anyways.... back to No More Words.....what a journey! I’ve read all of Kerry’s books, and this one felt so different from anything she’s written. All her books are fantastic, but this one had a real depth to it.... and a ton of mystery. If you like suspenseful thrillers, you’ll love it! And, if you typically just stick with fiction and/or romance, you’ll love it! There are quite a few characters, so I did have a hard time keeping it all straight at first. 😆 .....but they were all definitely needed to capture the full story and to tie it all up in the end!
I hope everyone adds this one to their #TBR list!! It’ll be a wonderful summer read!! I’ll just be over trying to figure out what’ll happen to all these characters next! 😆

One of the many things I love about Kerry Lonsdale's books are that they are sometimes unsettling to read...and I mean that in the very best way! This one is about three siblings: Olivia, Lucas, and Lily. This is one dysfunctional family--to say the least--and in the present Olivia is shocked when when Lily (who's been estranged from them since her pregnancy at 16) reappears in their life in the form of her son who turns up at her house with a brain injury that causes him to "lose" words, not able to articulate what he means. So finding Lily is going to be difficult. Alternating between the present and the past, when the kids spent many happy summers at their friends' lake house, Lonsdale paints the picture of a family of lost souls whose many mistakes follow them and cause pain and suffering. But Lonsdale is also an expert at the healing of families and the love that is possible when mistakes are revealed and admitted; redemption is always the goal. This one's a tear-jerker for sure but I was delighted to see it's the first in a new series!

This tale is full of emotion, family drama and more than one intriguing mystery. Previous betrayals have led Olivia Carson to keep people at arms length. When the 13 year old nephew she has never met shows up unexpectedly, Olivia is forced to confront memories of her past in order to help Josh find his mom. Unfortunately, Josh can't offer much help. A head injury has left him unable to clearly articulate his thoughts, leaving Olivia to solve the puzzle of how Josh and her younger sister were separated.

Olivia pieces together memories from her past along with Josh's cryptic information and more questions arise. As flashbacks from her past surface, Olivia realizes the people she trusts most may actually be the ones deceiving her.

Kerry Lonsdale has crafted a gripping story that kept me turning the pages until after 2am in order to find out what happened! I held my breath in suspense at multiple points and I was definitely surprised by the ending. I am excited that this is a series because I have become invested in these characters. I can't wait for the next installment to find out what happens next for the Carson siblings.

Thank you to the author and NetGalley for the opportunity to read an advanced copy. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Kerry Lonsdale has done it again! No More Words was absolutely enrapturing, and kept me up reading into the wee hours. With dark family secrets, a missing sibling, and lovable, flawed, fleshed-out characters this was an amazing read.
Lonsdale’s setting and imagery is masterful. You know when you’re reading and there’s a movie playing out the scenes in your head? This is one of those books.
I was thrilled to see that this is the first book in what will be a series! I cannot wait for 2022!

I've been a big fan of Kerry Lonsdale's since I read Everything We Keep and this book just helped cement that love of her books. Such realistic characters that I felt like I really knew them, family secrets, deception, romance, a bit of a mystery, and family relationships- this book has it all. I loved how everything came together in the end but left us wanting more.

No More Words by Kerry Lonsdale is the first in a 3 book series about the Carson family. There are 3 siblings in the family, Olivia, Lucas, and Lily. In No More Words we get to know Olivia’s story. The Carson family is a complicated and dysfunctional family at best. Fourteen years earlier Lily ran away after getting pregnant at age 16. The family hasn’t seen her or the baby since. Olivia and Lily are several years apart in age and never got along. However, Olivia receives a letter every year from Lily with a picture of her nephew, Josh. The 14th year Olivia does not receive a letter. She doesn’t think too much of it until one day Josh shows up at her house. They have never met. He is unable to speak very well but he gets across to Olivia that he doesn’t know where Lily is. It seems that Josh has had a head injury and is unable to come up with the right words to explain what has happened. The sets in motion a search for Lily and Olivia digging deep into the family’s past. This family has way too many skeletons in the closet. To complicate things, Olivia is right in the middle of a break up with her childhood love, Blaze. They grew up together and dated in high school until she caught him cheating on her. They recently got back together but Olivia is a commitment-phobe and whenever she gets too close she pushes people away.
I really enjoyed this book. The chapters alternate between the present and the Carson family in the past and what happened to cause the rift between Olivia and Lily. The author has a great talent for writing realistic characters with complicated lives. I absolutely cannot wait for the other two books in the series to find out the rest of the family’s secrets and lies! You definitely need to add this book to your TBR list! Fans of mysteries and romance will devour this one. Thank you to the author, NetGalley, and the publisher for the advanced copy of this book. All opinions are my own.

Prepare to be sucked in and not be able to stop reading! No More Words is Kerry Lonsdale's latest novel and is book one of a trilogy (insert excitement and cheering!!) If you have never had the chance to experience Lonsdale's story telling, take an afternoon and give her a try. She is an amazing author and you will not be disappointed.
We meet Olivia and her siblings, growing up with a difficult father who is desperately trying to have the perfect family and run for office. But life is hard living under the microscope. The children are blessed to enjoy summers away at the lake with family friends while their mom and dad continue working. Life long friendships are born and the kids are immune to the real-life happenings of what goes on behind the curtain of adulthood.
Present day brings us to find Olivia dealing with her own life as an adult. Lily ran away years ago, pregnant and scared. Lucas is struggling to make ends meet. Mom and Dad are still together but struggle to stay that way. And like that, Josh, Lilly's son finds Olivia with legal papers in hand that elect her as his guardian if anything happens to his mother. Josh has trouble speaking and is unable to help Olivia find his mom. Olivia begins the search to uncover her family's secrets and what she finds can't stay buried anymore.
Lonsdale makes you fall for your characters. You root for them, you fall in love with them, and you can really dislike them too. Kerry Lonsdale's writing is easy to read and easy to follow long with. She is able to put you right in the story and make you feel like you are right there with the characters and setting. The chapters are just the right length, not too long and not too short. (Not that chapter length is important when you will read through the entire book in a day ;) )
I will be recommending No More Words to all my book-loving friends and will be anxiously awaiting the next installment in this trilogy! Special thanks to Kerry Lonsdale, Jen Cannon, Lake Union Publishing, and NetGalley for the advanced digital copy in exchange for my honest opinion. 5 stars!

I love Kerry Lonsdale's writing. She pulls you in and keeps you there until the end. However, I am now in withdraw awaiting the next two books in this trilogy.

No More Words is the story of three siblings, Olivia, Lucas, and Lily. When they were young, they were close, however circumstances and perhaps a bit of manipulation has driven a wedge between them. Olivia, the oldest, Daddy's favorite, seems to have it all together expect she can't make a relationship work. Lucas, the middle child, once had a bright future but a stint in juvie changed him forever. Lily, the youngest, was a talented artist and swimmer but ran away at 16 to stop her parents from forcing her to give up her baby. No one has seen Lily since, Josh, Lily's son turns up at Olivia's house alone and so the mystery begins.

Where is Lily? What happened the night she ran away? What does a 30 year old murder have to do with her disappearance? Josh has had an brain injury and can't answer the questions Olivia has about his mom and her whereabouts.

This story is full of mystery, suspense, and twists. I loved the ending and am dying to know more about Lily and Lucas. Can these siblings recover and heal together? I can not wait for No More Lies and know I will be just as excited awaiting the 3rd book.

Thank you to Kerry Lonsdale, Lake Union Publishing, and NetGalley for this ARC of No More Words. All opinions expressed are my own.

All of Kerry Lonsdale's books have amazing characters. She creates people that you feel like you know and would love to sit down and have coffee with. She also always creates believable villains and appropriately flawed heroines. No More Words is no exception.

The story introduces Olivia Carson, a graphic artist/novelist with a complicated family. More than a decade ago, her younger sister Lily ran away from home after her father told her she had to abort her pregnancy or give her unborn child up for adoption. Lily, sixteen at the time, was unwilling to do so and so she leaves home. Olivia was led to believe that her boyfriend was the baby's father and left heartbroken and angry. Each year, Olivia receives a letter from Lily about her nephew Josh, but has no idea where her sister went.

Lily's absence created numerous chasms in her family - her parents have a destructive, loveless marriage, her brother has served time in prison and blames himself for Lily's absence, and her father has been questioned in multiple crimes. Olivia, though successful in her professional life, finds herself unable to open up to those she loves and let people in. At the same time, she is blind to so much of the truth about her past and the way it continues to impact her present.

One day, Josh shows up at her door alone. Having suffered some kind of accident, he has trouble communicating and can only tell Olivia that Lily is "gone". As Olivia gets to know her nephew and they try to find her sister, numerous secrets come to light causing her to rethink everything she thought she knew about her family and her past.

No More Words alternates between present day and Olivia's childhood (including the time leading up to Lily's pregnancy). The more readers learn about the past, the more questions they have about the present. The more we get to know these characters, the more we root for the truth to come out and for justice and love to prevail. This is absolutely a must read!

This is the first book in a trilogy. I can not wait to read the next one!

This book will pull you in from the very beginning. Olivia has been betrayed by her siblings and boyfriends in the past. She doesn't trust people and doesn't let anyone in. One day her sister's son shows up on her doorstep putting Olivia on a quest to find her sister. There is just one problem, Josh has had a head injury and struggles with words making it even harder to find her sister who ran away years ago. While searching for her sister Olivia learns a lot about herself and the lies her family has been keeping. This book is hard to put down once you start and I look forward to the next book in this series.

I was hooked right from the first page and I gobbled up every single page in ONE day! I can’t quite determine what about it I loved so much, I am thinking maybe EVERYTHING? The characters were so inviting and compelling, the storyline was so creative and captivating, and the writing itself was so easy and flowing. Kerry Lonsdale is such an amazing and talented author and I am a huge fan of hers. I am always blown away by her novels and she has done it yet again with this one! Be prepared to cancel all of your plans once you are ready to start reading No More Words, because you will not want to put it down!

4.5 stars
No matter what happens in your life, the love for your siblings can't be changed by anything. when her sister gone missing, there was a big hole left in Olivia's world and even if they weren't the best of friends, she still feels guilty about what happened to make Lily to run away and hide all these years.
It's a heartbreaking story about family and to what extend the trust in that family can overlook so many bad events or unwanted moments.
I loved that we get a happy moment at the end after so much turmoil and suspense.
I'm looking foreword to the next books in the trilogy.

Olivia’s life is a hot mess. She just broke up with her boyfriend and Josh, her fourteen-year-old nephew that she has never met, just turned up at her door. Her sister Lily, Josh’s mom, left home when she was sixteen and pregnant and hasn’t had any contact with her family since that day. Josh cannot tell Olivia where his mother is due to a head injury that robbed him of his speech. The only thing he can tell her is that Lily is gone.

So begins Olivia’s journey into the past to find out what really happened the day Lily left and more importantly find out where she is now. First, she has to find out who her sister has become, the name she is going by and where she and Josh have been living. Is she injured or heaven forbid dead? Olivia must face the demons of her family’s past in order to reconcile the future and find Lily. Each member of her family has secrets and some of them are willing to do whatever it takes to keep them hidden.

This multilayered novel is easy to read yet surprisingly intricate. The plot is fast-paced and depth of the characters, even those on the periphery, came to life in the story. I literally read late into the night because I had to know what was going to happen. Ms. Lonsdale takes the reader into the character’s childhood years and then skillfully brings the story back to present day, rounding out each one so that the reader knows them intimately. It is one of the best books I have read in a long time. I highly recommend it.

This is the third book by Ms. Lonsdale that I have read. Each of them has been different, but all of them are written with the same depth of plot and painstakingly realistic characters that readers love. If you are a fan of Jodi Picoult, you will love all of Kerry Lonsdale’s books. No More Words has left me speechless – other than to say it has to be added to your reading list.

As Olivia tries to uncover what happened all those years ago to find where her sister would have gone in the present.

Olivia struggles to understand her family, childhood and coming to terms that not everything is as it seems.
