What a great love story. Hope has lost her husband and Carrie is mourning her grandmother. The characters are very real and have real problems. The plot is how they get together and deal with their problems. This a very sweet romance and I recommend it for romance lovers.

Carrie Martin goes to a grief support meeting while dealing with emotions about her grandmother. She meets Hope Garret who is widowed after 19 years of marriage. The group isn't for them but they strike up a conversation, then friendship and eventually more. This is a lovely, warm book about two women in their mid 30s falling in love. They have dinners and enjoy activities like movies and bowling. Hope even models for paintings by Carrie. The best thing in the book is the dialogue. It is honest and refreshing. You feel like you know the main characters and what they are feeling. When there is conflict, they can get past it because they are adults who can talk. They can be steamy but they also know when to hold on and be there for each other. The only major side character is Hope's son who adds some drama to the story. 3.5 stars (rounding up).

Thank you to NetGalley and Bold Strokes Books for an ARC ebook in exchange for an honest review.

Joy Argento has a great talent for writing. Carrie and Hope are beautifully written characters. It's a sweet story about grief and supporting one another in grief and finding love. The two characters have a lot of chemistry and I love their natural, funny and sweet connection. I did wish the story had a more of a plot.

Carrie and Hope is a great read for the enjoyment of two women falling in love.

Carrie and Hope meet at a grief group. Carrie who although her gram is alive but been in coma for awhile now and although she was hoping her gram would wake up she knows she won’t. Hope lost her husband Tom to colon cancer her sister Marcy thinks she in denial about his lost because she thinks she having grieve but what she doesn’t know is although she cared for Tom she wasn’t really in love with him and she feels guilt because she was going to leave him when he got the news and stayed to help him through it.

Carrie and Hope becomes friends and they become more. I like both characters the chemistry between them was good I like the dialogue between them it was actually a good read with little drama except with Hope son Derrick at first but then he had his own story.

I received an ARC copy of this book from the Publisher via Netgalley and voluntarily leaving my review.
