Keto solution is a great beginners book for those interested in learning about the lifestyle. I loved that it was quick & easy to read. All the information needed was included, and the author succeeded in making it not seem too complicated. The hardest part about keto is diving in, but it can be overwhelming. I will definitely suggest this book to friends. There were many recipes that looked delicious and I can't wait to try them.

I've been using keto for a few years now, and I'm always on the lookout for new, interesting recipes and ways to keep macros where they should be. I was hopeful that this book would give me inspiration to try some new takes on the usual favourites. Unfortunately, this reads a lot like a self-published book: the photos aren't polished (most look like they were taken using a phone) and most recipes don't have photos. The introduction is skimpy and doesn't really offer enough warnings or fine-tuning guides for people with pre-existing health conditions, as many people who are struggling with their weight tend to be. The recipes are the most disappointing: there is nothing here I haven't seen, and some of the recipes look verbatim like things I've found on blogs. It feels more like a compilation of 'my favourite recipes from around the web' rather than an original work - of course, I'm not presuming that's the case, but there's nothing here that reinvents the wheel. I would recommend other books (Sisson's 30 Day Keto Reset is a firm favourite) and would unfortunately recommend giving this one a pass. Conversely, if you want very simple, straightforward recipes and aren't fine-tuning keto, this might be a good option that will save you time in trawling the internet for recipes.

The keto solution is a nice book written by a person that has done this diet herself and she shares tips, recipes and success stories. I like the keto diet and I like reading about people that succeed. This book tell you the authors personal story, explains what keto is, some info about keto, rules, what to expect, shopping list and substitutions, and a simple meal plan. The recipes look nice and I would probably make some of them at home but I found them kinda disorganized and the photos look like they were taking at home instead of professional photos and they were black and white (at least the e-copy that I received was). I received a free digital copy of this book from NetGalley in exchange for my honest review

This is a terrific book for those interested in starting a Keto lifestyle. It's also a really good option for those looking to go lower carb, but not necessarily all the way to Keto levels. The Keto Solution offers an inspirational story and a bunch of testimonials for the author's coaching and support. In addition, it offers a straightforward basic introduction to Keto--how it works and the benefits for your body. The author also includes her tips for succeeding on Keto, and she includes information about the Facebook group she runs for additional support. This book offers a very practical and straightforward look at Keto. Finally, there are a LOT of recipes in this book. Many are common Keto staples, like the Fathead pizza crust. But I was surprised how many recipes there were. Every recipe includes the nutritional information. There are some full color pictures of some of the recipes and a few black and white photos of others. Most recipes are fairly simple and quick to prepare. Over all, I found this book to be an excellent resource for the Keto beginner, or someone that has been following very basic Keto and would like to add more variety to their meals.

Thank you to Nimbus Publishing, Angela Doucette and NetGalley for providing me with a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I very rarely review cookbooks/diet books but as someone who has actually followed the Keto diet and never felt so good, I knew I had to give this one a shot. When I first did Keto a few years ago, I really struggled to get good information about the basics, there were so many Pinterest pins with a meandering life story attached to every recipe. The ingredients would be hard to come by or weird measurements. Often seemingly written by those who weren’t doing the diet or seemingly fell into the same trap of information overload. Then fasting came into it and honestly, I got lost, lazy, overwhelmed with trying to find new foods to enjoy.

This book is offers something different as it is written by some who has gone through the same process, struggled to find a supportive network for like-minded people and created her own support group. This book is a great introduction for those new to the Keto lifestyle and it breaks down the information into easy, bitesize, consumable chunks.

It has a really nice, clean design and not only covers the basics of how to get started but also shows how you can still enjoy various condiments by making them from home, not having to worry about falling off of the wagon.

The only negative about this book that I could find, is there are a lack of colour shots inside and it would really benefit from the same tonality that is implied from the cover. I hope Angela Doucette writes more books like this in future as it was truly a delight to see someone put effort into making a clear guide for Keto beginners.

You know what I love most about this book? How easy the recipes are, you don't need a bunch of crazy ingredients. If you are doing Keto the I would recommend adding this to your library.

This cookbook does a great job at including kid-friendly, adults-(probably)-only, and DIY to everyone’s own tastes. Many of the recipes also have notes at the end for substitutions and other tips. It’s a great cookbook to give as a gift to new families or more established families who may need some new staples.

This book is written by a woman who has actually followed the Keto lifestyle of eating. She also has a Facebook support group. She explains in clear terms the difference between ketosis and ketoacidosis…which is what scares most people away from this life style. She gives good, easy to understand information about almost everything you think you want to know about going Keto. She finishes off her book with a cookbook with delicious recipes and enough pictures to keep a person happy.

THE KETO SOLUTION offers you everything you need to know about this low-carb eating plan. A clean design and simple text make it super easy to read. And yes, there are delicious recipes, more than 150 in fact. Think Bacon Cheeseburger Casserole, Loaded “Potato” Skins, Salted Caramel Custards — yum! The author is a Keto success story, having lost weight, lowered her blood pressure and improved her lipid profile without meds. She shares practical tips for mastering the art of Keto for glowing health. One wish: More color shots to enliven the recipes. I loved the cover and longed for luscious pics to make me drool!

This is good basic keto information from a woman who used the diet to lose weight and get healthy, and who runs very popular pages on keto online on sites like Facebook. Her fans are likely to love it. It has lots of very simple recipes with short instructions and few ingredients, and macros are listed. That said, there are very few photos and those tend to be small black and white circles next to a few recipes with color photos of those recipes all together in a separate section. People who like to see pictures of each dish will be disappointed, but the lack of photos and short recipes means that there's room for lots of recipes. If you are the sort of person who just wants the quick recipe for staples and standards from a trusted source, this will be a great resource.

I read a temporary digital ARC of this book for review.
