This is a children's book that I read to my twin boys. I really love this story because it is fun and gets kids moving. This is a cute story about a tiger named Mula that thinks she can only do things in her sleep, and a fly that teaches her differently. I loved it so much, and it pulls kids into the story. The pictures where bright and fun. I was kindly provided an e-copy of this book by the publisher (Sweet Cherry Publishing) or author (Lauren Hoffmeier) via NetGalley, so I can give honest review about how I feel about this book. I want to send a big Thank you to them for that. This book is schedule to be release on June 10-2021.

Mula is such a fun yogi!! Teaching Littles how to center & relax & how to have fun while stretching out! This book also gives the whole family an opportunity to get active together with the easy flows that are taught! Such a fun book!

What a delightful children’s storybook or in the words of the author “a fun yoga story”! This is absolutely a story that will get kids up and moving and following along with the breathing advice and stretching / yoga poses.

I loved the artistry and bright colouring of the photos and the dynamic of the relationship between a fly and a tiger!

As a yoga lover I enjoyed the intro to yoga this book provides to kids and think it will be a hit with children everywhere. 😊

My 3-year-old daughter and I loved this interactive book. The colorful illustrations are energetic and fun! I really enjoyed the artist's use of vibrant color.

Just like Mula, My daughter is sometime hesitant to try something new. But once she does, she always enjoys it and has so much fun.

We enjoyed that at the end of the book Mula taught us how to do the yoga poses, too! This book not only became fun to read but something fun to learn from!

The other day I found myself saying to my son, during that time between dinner and bathtime, ‘I think we need to calm down now, don’t we?’. The CLASSIC Mum phrase is ever there was one! Other than realising I had turned into my mother, it made me think how great books are for helping to make the switch from energetic excitement to a chilled, relaxed mood. And Mula and the Fly is a brilliant example of that, using yoga techniques of breathing and gentle movement to help little ones find some calm.

Mula the tiger is having a snooze when a fly lands on her nose and wakes her up. At first Mula is cross as she was dreaming of tumbling, hopping and standing on her head. The fly explains that she can do all those things in real life, if she learns to focus on her breathing. Although she resists at first, gradually Mula comes round to the fly’s suggestion and as the fly begins to teach Mula about yoga she realises that it could open up all sorts of possibilities for her.

I love how Lauren Hoffmeier uses humour to get little ones engaged in Mula’s story (there’s a lot of fly flapping and physical comedy at the start) and then quietly introduces yoga and the benefits it can bring. As we were reading we practised some of the breathing techniques and tried the five yoga poses which are explained at the end, (alongside images of Mula doing each one). It’s great to see how the youngest of toddlers can absorb the calm vibes of yoga and this is a lovely, upbeat book packed with lots of positivity and relaxation techniques.

Great little book, that has a good storyline and bright colourful illustrations all about a tiger that dreams he can do certain movements but is sad that he can't do them in real life. But with lots of practise of yoga moves and lots of concentration, he is then able to do so!
Also goes on to them teach younger children basic moves.

I love this book! I love the illustrations and the colour palette. Just looking at it is enough to make one happy.
I truly believe yoga is one of the best things one can do and to learn about it at the very early ages would only do good. The book is easy to read, enjoyable and, makes you want to reread it. Great book.

What a fun book about breathing and practicing yoga for kids! The tiger gets frustrated and his friend gets him to focus on his breathing to work through his frustrations. The tiger is then able to move in many yoga positions. This book would be good for any youngsters developing their yoga practice.

In trying and trying to swat away a pesky fly, Mula the tiger ends up contorting and moving so bizarrely it appears she is doing yoga, which just so happens to coincide with her more lithe and nimble dream selves. And so once the fly has taught Mula how to breathe properly and get on down with the whole yoga thing, they're both experts – and can teach us human readers a few basic moves and poses too. This is fine – it's not perfect at showing animation and multiple poses in the same frame, and I still have no idea how to do a side lunge, based on what I read, but I can't pretend it's not a success. It just felt peculiar to see it billed as "A fun yoga story", as if there will be more. Once done, it's done, I'd have thought...

Try yoga out in this fun story about a tiger and a fly who do yoga together. Mula dreams about trying and with the help of the Fly she might just be able to! The artwork is really great and the book even has a guide to different positions that you can try if you want to do yoga!
