Lucy has dreamt of her wedding day for as long as she can remember. And now the day is almost here. Her nearest and dearest are gathered on an idyllic Greek island and she just knows it's going to be perfect. It has to be. But even the best-laid plans can go horribly wrong. Why are her parents behaving so strangely? Why won't the rather odd lady from the airport stop hanging around? Who is the silent stranger her sister brought as a plus-1?
And then they find the body.

Thank you to the publishers for sending me a copy of this book.
This book gave me so many “big little lies” vibes. I couldn’t put it down.
With the lockdowns and missing out on two summer holidays, I actually thought that I was in Greece with the characters when reading this. The author sets the scene so well. I’ve read all of this author’s books, apart from one and each one just gets better.
The story centres around a dysfunctional family and each chapter is told by a different member of the family.
The storyline was great, if not similar to another book I have read recently, however, it has its own uniqueness.
I loved this book
I highly recommend this book and in fact, all the other books by this author.

This book was not as good as I thought it would be from the premise. Definitely fell short for me. It was very slow paced and did not grip me until over two thirds of the way through when the pace picked up a bit. Could not bond the the main character at all. Not terrible but not great.. Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for the chance to review it.

This is an ideal beach read. Set in Greece, the location sounds stunning and just perfect for a wedding. But this just doesn’t turn out to be the blissful wedding that Lucy has always dreamt about. Lots of twists and turns that keep you guessing with many characters, some likeable some not. Thank you to the publisher and Netgalley for the opportunity to read this proof.

I am afraid I cannot give feedback on this book as it seems to have disappeared from my kindle. I don't know if I inadvertently deleted it, if so I have never done that before, and as it is now archived, I cannot download another copy.Sorry.

A well thought out plot set on a Greek Island, with well developed characters and plenty of twists and turns that kept me invested till the very last page.

With it being a month away from my sisters wedding, I though it was good timing for a wedding thriller.

This Greek wedding certainly didn’t have Mamma Mia vibes - more Agatha Christie. It was a proper mystery thriller with plenty of twists and lots, and lots, of drama.

The ‘Wedding Party’ made up several POVs throughout the book which added to the suspense - including the bride, mother of the bride, the bridesmaid and the wedding planner.

There were snippets from police interviews giving us little bits at a time piecing everything together about what potentially happened, and who was responsible. I really liked this part of the narrative.

I wouldn’t say any of the characters were particularly likeable and Lucy was a total bridezilla 👰🏼‍♀️ I found some of it hilarious, just the little things like having itineraries for everyone and her relationship with her mother in law. It’s relatable to those who have had the stress of planning a wedding before. Although her sister, Jess, did sound like a bit of a handful. Not sure I’d be a happy bunny if I were in Lucy’s shoes.

I wasn’t blown away by it but it was good. The ending, for me, wasn’t really satisfying and I felt the caption was a little bit misleading. But overall, an enjoyable, easy, summer thriller. I’m definitely interested in reading more from this author.

This is the ultimate destination wedding and what a destination it is! Greece provides the perfect backdrop; stunning scenery, idyllic views, gorgeous weather and a beautiful beach, what more could you want! Add in an untimely death and you have the recipe for a great read.

I was instantly hooked by this, I read this on holiday myself, although I had questionable weather so I adored imagining myself on a hot Greek beach, surrounded by all the characters. As the read progresses, Cohen reveals more and more about the characters and the secrets they are keeping, I really enjoyed guessing what would be coming next and let me assure you there are plenty of secrets to discover!

Throughout the read, Cohen includes diary excerpts from an unnamed character, slowly we discover which character it is about and this really helped in getting to know them, understand them and see why they are behaving the way they are. Cohen also writes from multiple character perspectives and again, this really helps the reader gain an understanding of the characters and see everything from their point of view.

I adored everything about this read; from the plot, the tension, drama and hysterics, to the love, happiness and beauty of the location. 'The Wedding Party' has everything you could possibly want in a summer thriller.

Thank you to Net Galley and the publishers for a free e-copy of this book, in exchange for an honest review.

This book is set in a lovely Greek island location and I loved reading the descriptions of the lovely setting, weather, food and ocean. I loved the different foods and quite often made my belly rumble.

The book follows a wedding planner and the wedding party and the turbulent week or so to the lead up of the wedding. There are lots of twists and turns and secrets shared. The reader knows all is not as it seems and I did want to continue to find out who what and how everyone is involved.

I must say I didn't particularly like many characters in this book except maybe Nina and the Mum of the bride occasionally and I did struggle to connect with many of the others.

This book affirmatively answers the question "can you have too many POVs in a book?", with pretty much every female character getting her own POV chapters. On top of that, there are also transcripts from police interrogations and excerpts from someone's therapy journal. The abundance of viewpoints makes it hard to form an attachment to any of the characters, which in turn makes it even harder to care about these characters and what happens to them.

It all culminates into an intense apathy about the story or the people involved, which doesn't exactly stimulate one to keep reading.

But with its wedding setting, this book is on trend. I'm sure there are people out there who will enjoy this one, I sadly didn't.

This is a good Summer read that will let you dream that you’re in Greece.
Lucy wants her wedding to Jason to be perfect, on a beach in Greece with family and friends around her. From the moment the guests arrive, things don’t go to plan and Lucy becomes more and more stressed about it all.
To top it all off, a dead body is found and with most of the people in the book hiding secrets, this is a great whodunnit.
The story is written from multiple viewpoints and there’s chapters with police witness interviews and also extracts from a therapy journal. These work well in giving you an insight into it all.
This is a good read that would be perfect for the beach.

It's going to be a day to remember. This was one rollercoaster of a ride! OMG! This drew me in quickly and there was that instant tension of a drama unfolding. An incredibly well thought out, very original plotline and one I had not foreseen. I turned ever quicker and devoured this- the sign of a gripping, well written read. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I really enjoyed this book. Each chapter dedicated to some of the characters kept you interested in the story. A wedding on a Greek island what can go wrong! Plenty of twists and turns. Would recommend.

What a great read!

I love a book that starts at the end - ie the opening chapter details a death but you dont know who did it. You then have to spend the whole book being suspicious of every character trying to work out what the heck happened! The added bonus of not even knowing who dies in this story is a bonus mystery.

The book is set in Kefalonia and is a great summer read. I could almost imagine I was there as it was so well described. Each chapter is from the viewpoint of one of the wedding party which gives you lots of different stories to follow throughout.

I found Lucy, the bride, a little hard to like throughout the book but you had to sympathise with her when all she wanted was the perfect wedding.

My only critisim would be that the ending was strung out maybe one or two chapters too long. And even then I was left thinking what about this? What about that? I think a couple of loose ends were left which confused me whilst a couple more were over explained. However I really enjoyed the book and I would definately reccommend.

I was given this ebook via Netgalley & the publishers.

The Wedding Party is perfect for fans of Big Little Lies and Agatha Christie. Cohen manages to blend the genius of a Christie whodunnit with the drama Moriarty is a pro at bringing to the table. The characters are excellent and the island setting is beautifully written. For Lucy, this is her dream wedding and it’s going to be perfect. So when everything seems to be going wrong, it only goes from bad to worst when a dead body is found. Who did it? With plenty of red herrings to keep readers guessing, this is one sure to keep readers on the edge of their seats. Highly recommended!

Lucy wants her wedding to Jason on the beautiful island of Kefalonia, surrounded by her family and friends, to be perfect, but it soon turns into the wedding from hell. With a dead body and most of the guests hiding secrets which slowly come to light this is the ideal scenario for Tammy Cohen’s new book.

The story is written from multiple viewpoints and interspersed with police witness interviews and extracts from a therapy journal. These work quite well, giving you additional clues to what is about to transpire. While it is well written and I enjoyed it for the most part, although I couldn’t find a single character I liked.

Weddings are an absolute gift to authors because they even upstage Christmas with the gathering of disparate personalities and often long-buried secrets just asking to escape. As a huge fan of Tammy Cohen's writing she has taken the occasion of a wedding and the beautiful setting of Kefalonia as a-drop to an unsettling but entirely believable mystery.

The book has a delightful mixture of characters from the Instagram fixated Lucy whose wedding to Jason is the main event to her younger sister Jess who has picked up a random man to be her plus one. Then there are the the long-,married parents of the bride and the overly affectionate single mother of the groom. Money troubles are swirling and secrets are hiding only just out of view.

This was a delightful read the characters well and truly claiming the story as their own while the plot is ingenious!

Highly recommended.

Lucy and Jason are getting married in Kefelonia at an exclusive resort with their close family and friends. All these guests are hiding their own secrets though and they all threaten to ruin Lucy and Jason’s big day.

This was a slow burner, although I enjoyed reading about the characters and the way in which they were all entwined with each other. I didn’t particularly like the storyline though and the ending was a disappointment.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review.

This book was brilliant, tense and exciting! The story is narrated from the perspective of each character. Easy to read and well written. Tense and good plotting with sharp writing. The story gradually moved from London right onto a Greek beach. The writing of the island was very beautiful as if I was under summer sun. It was really enjoyable. The storyline was so glamorous and gripping that I couldn't stop except sleeping and fast page-turning. This book does not disappoint and it's quite surprising as domestic thriller. Highly recommend!
