This book was stunning! I absolutely loved it. Can't wait for the next one. The characters were ao full of life and loved going back and forth between point of view. Definitely recommend.

I read this book because I like Carol Kirkwood and I have to say the book seemed to me to reflect her character, warm and feel good! It is a romantic, escapist story but does have quite a storyline which covers a number of years. Maybe a bit predictable but the Greek Island setting is very realistic and is a lovely place to be on a cold winters day.

An ideal, easy read whilst relaxing on Greek beach. It involves some family intrigues, beautiful settings, but a fairly predictable romance between a young girl desperate for a job and a wealthy Greek heir.

This was lacking in substance for me. I quickly lost in the characters. Others may like it but I got part way through and gave up.

I was given a copy of Under a Greek moon by Carol Kirkwood by the publisher in exchange for an honest review what a great story, lots happening around the main character Shauna who lives in Hollywood. When she was in her 20's she stayed on a Greek island for the summer. A great read, highly recommend.

Firstly my thanks to NetGalley and the publishers for this advance copy in exchange for an honest review.

I was most curious to read Carol Kirkwood’s debut novel, as a fan of her BBC weather forecasts. It was as some surprise that reading the novel, I found none of the Ms Kirkwood I expected and thought I knew. It’s a lovely little romantic interlude, with the love, loss and finally the rekindling of love and a future full of happiness. Her style of writing flows easily across the pages and it’s fair to say is absorbing and entertaining, although there is an excess of name-dropping and high end brand names. It will be with interest, I await novel number two, The Hotel on the Riviera.

If I’m absolutely honest I wasn’t expecting much from this book as the author is a tv personality. I was pleasantly surprised. Well written and although predictable an enjoyable read transporting the reader to various locations but particularly Greece which I absolutely love. Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for this copy.

Rating 3.5

Under the Greek Moon is a typical cliche romance story split between Greece, Ireland and Hollywood. Perfect for anyone wanting an easy and fairly predictable summer read.

I received this book from netgalley in return for a honest review.

Really enjoyed this book. A light hearted read (perfect right now!) that took me to the fictional island of Ithos, I absolutely loved the magical descriptions of the scenery and the people.
Plenty of drama, emotions and twists. I wonder if we will get to visit Ithos and its people again?

With many thanks to NetGalley and HarperCollins U.K, HarperFiction for the opportunity to read this ARC, in return for an honest and unbiased review.

This book isn’t quite what I expected it to be but I absolutely loved it. A romantic story with a twist and lots of ups and downs but a greatly written story. Would highly recommend.

Under A Greek Moon was such a gorgeous escape. Full of sunshine, delicious sounding food, love, laughter and heartbreak.

Shauna Jackson is an award winning actress. But her life is not as idyllic as it may seem. Nursing heartache after losing her husband, she reflects on her wonderful summer in Ithos.

Returning to the island many years later, she is ready to face the man who first stole her heart. And to reveal a long held secret to hi.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book, which had a surprising little twist in store.

This is a beautifully written love story and who doesn't love that! Loved the characters, storyline and most of all the setting. Beautiful. As a debut novel it was well received by me.

Definitely recommended.

Thank you Netgalley.

As a one of the many who enjoys watching Carol Kirkwood on the tv, I was very excited to read her first novel, an escapist piece of fiction. An engaging story which mainly follows the lives of two old friends, Shauna and Roxy, who become very famous in their fields of acting and fashion. Lots of fun name dropping, cameos and romantic intrigue make this a wonderful summer read. Highly recommended for some fabulous escapist fiction.

2 friends go on a backpacking holiday and end up in Greece where Roxy goes off with someone she meets and Shauna goes to work on a luxury yacht where she falls in love with the rich owners son, sadly it wasn't to be.
Life carries on for both of them and they both become successful in their chosen field but end up going full circle and ending up back on the same island where it all started
Loved it

A wonderful summer read. This is not my normal genre bur Carol Kirkwood has written an amazing story with characters that capture the reader. The characters are all so real imperfect beings struggling to always do the right thing and enjoying every moment that they can. The ending was predictable but that did not deflect from the enjoyment of reading the story. For very different reasons Shauna and Demetrius had difficult but very different home lives that were both very easy to relate to. The descriptions of the greek food throughout made me salivate and wish that we had a good Greek restaurant near us as I could certainly demolish a huge plateful. Whilst the descriptions of the Islands and the people remind me so much of the times that I spent in the islands and loving the kindness of the people.
I highly recommend this as a superb summer relaxing read that leaves the reader with a warm fuzzy feeling.

20 years ago actress Shauna Jackson left the island of Ithos leaving behind a man and harbouring a secret. Now she is returning to the island and will have to confront her past.

I enjoyed this book and think it is the perfect summer read. I liked the author's writing and I am looking forward to seeing if they will write more books in the future. I would personally like to have seen a bit more romance in this book as I didn't feel that the romance was the main plot point.

Overall I enjoyed this book and I hope that Carol continues to write as I would love to read more from her.
