Jd robb,, eve and roarke and supporting cast of the Nyspd. A lovers triangle. A religious cult and multiple murders. Does not disappoint.
This was my first audio book and I won't be listening to one again. It did not live up to the voices of my imagination. It took me 5 chapters to get used to the voice. Not my choice for a book in future.

You can't possibly read an In Death book by JD Robb and miss out adjectives like 'mag' and 'ult' because that's exactly what they are, and Faithless In Death is no different.

Once again we have Dallas and her band of merry men and women of NYPSD fighting injustice and bringing the 'bad guys' down!

As always she is supported by the usual, and growing, cast of additional characters that all make living in the future seem, almost, attractive - if it wasn't for the crime!

For any JD Robb fans, you won't want to miss the sometimes distressing storyline, but rest easy, as we all know that in the hands of Lieutenant Eve Dallas, justice will be well and truly served.

JD Robb is an amazing writer and these books just never get old, I have now read / listened to all 52 and the characters keep getting stronger and stronger., they are very well written and don't over describe a situation, I don't feel there is any "padding" to these books.

This was my first audio book and it took a little while to get used to it but I did enjoy this new way of "reading" a book.

I would recommend all 52 of these books, once you read a couple you will be hooked and if your new to the series I am jealous and you have a treat in store.

This is not the first JD Robb book that I had read, but it is the first one that I listened to as an audiobook. I was curious as to how the experience would differ. I was not disappointed. The pace and tone of the narration was very good and I didn't want to stop listening. The only criticism I could give was that I didn't feel that Roarke's Irish accent was what I would have expected. Good pace of reading though and even the romantic scene didn't make me cringe.

The series follows Eve Dallas, a homicide detective in a New York of the future. The series is futuristic but should not be confused with Sci-fi as it is essentially a murder mystery series with a few modern technologies but is far more focused on the characters and the murder investigations. You don't have to a have read the series in order but it does help a little bit because there are hints about Eve's past which help to explain her motivations. This instalment of the series was a gripping and entertaining read. Just enough information on the main characters so that the long time fans can see the story progression but not so much that new readers would be completely lost. The story itself was slightly reminiscent of Margaret Atwood's "The Handmaid's Tale" but with enough action to keep it feeling fresh.
