Amelia's parents died when she was young and her great aunt Vera took her in but Amelia realised Vera wasn't overly happy with the situation and often was dismissive so Amelia moved to Paris. Suddenly she gets note that Vera has died and your joining Amelia on her rollercoaster return to Meadowbank

I love Katie's books so like to read everyone of them.

This book is a quick easy romance read which is lighthearted throughout. It does what it says on the tin and gives you that warm fuzzy feeling. With great characters and twists and turns galore.

I must firstly apologise for the amount of time it has taken me to provide a review of this book, my health was rather bad for quite some time, something that had me in hospital on numerous occasions and simply didnt leave me with the time I once had to do what I love most.

Unfortunately that does mean I have missed the archive date for many of these books, so It would feel unjust throwing any review together without being able to pay attention to each novel properly.

However, I am now back to reading as before and look forward to sharing my honest reviews as always going forward. I thank you f0r the patience and understanding throughout x

I'll admit it's more the mystery of the locket and Vera's past that kept me enthralled in this story, but I have to say I also loved how Amelia came into herself, realised who she really was, and the flame sparking back up with Adam. Also loved the shenanigans of the villagers - they always stopped just before that point when it can get tedious - and that was a spark of mastery by the author. Katie Ginger writes with a flowy charm not at all unlike the delightful countryside she describes throughout, and her words were a joy to behold many a time. Wasn't sure from the Paris parts whether this one was going to be a go or not, but power through if that's the case for you - the read is well worth it once in the village

Amelia lives in Paris. She works as an interior designer. She returns to her childhood home, when she learns that her great aunt has passed away. Completely aware of the fact that she has to revisit each and everything, even Adam, from whom she ran away years ago. Amelia also discovers that she has inherited the Meadow Farmhouse. She has decided to restore the farmhouse and sell it as soon as possible.

As she tries to restore the farmhouse, she comes across some of her aunt i.e., Vera’s mysteries. When one day Amelia discovers a locket with a picture of a World War Two soldier, she feels the need to uncover the secrets of her great-aunt’s past.

Will Amelia accept the opportunity to live in Meadowbank? Will she at least now admit her love for Adam and vice-versa?

I loved reading The Secrets of Meadow Farmhouse. This is the first book in the series and I am eagerly waiting to read the next one in the series. This is such a beautiful read full of a rollercoaster ride as you laugh, cry, grieve along with the characters while reading the book.

Overall, “The Secrets of Meadow Farmhouse” is a heartwarming full of second chances, love, hope and Humour!!

What a wonderfully, wistful story.
The characters felt like friends I had known for years, the place felt like it was my home town and I became completely immersed into the book. Katie Ginger has a great way of story telling and she never disappoints.

A lovely take of Amelia who lives in Paris, returning to her childhood home and all the unresolved issues from her past. Her relationship with her aunt was never great, and now she was dead, Amelia wants to find out what happened in her past to make her so cold. Her own past love,Adam, still lives there and she works out that old feelings haven't died at all. At the end of the day she must decide whether to return to Paris or stay to mend the past. Lovely book, great characters, very enjoyable

Amelia loves her life in Paris. But with the surprise inheritance of her childhood home, she has no choice but to return to the small village of Meadowbank to restore her great-aunt’s old farmhouse.
However returning to Meadowbank means she has to confront her past, including old flame Adam – the one person she regrets leaving behind.
When Amelia discovers a locket hidden in the farmhouse, containing the picture of a mysterious World War Two soldier, she starts to uncover the secrets of her great-aunt’s past. With Adam on hand to help restore the farmhouse, she’s shocked by his generosity after so many years apart.
As her feelings for her first love reignite, Amelia is suddenly confused as to where she truly belongs.
Can Amelia finally find where her heart truly calls home?
Well, i devoured this book! I loved it!! I loved the fact that the characters had to reflect on their parts, i loved the community spirit v the anonymity of Paris. I loved that she questioned her friendships and whether they were symbiotic (turns out not so much!) Throw that all together with an Aunt who kept a painful secret for too many years and a Helicopter mum and a blissful couple of hours awaits you as you step into Amelias world. x

Amelia enjoys her life in Paris or so she thinks until she returns to England after her Aunt's death. This book was easy to read and moved quickly along making me want to keep reading a little bit more.
A good underlying sense of mystery and evolving romance. An enjoyable book.

To say that reading this book became addictive is a huge understatement. I would stupidly pick the book up only intending to read a couple of chapters to fill in the odd half hour but I would become so wrapped up in the story that I would still be sat there well over an hour and several chapters later. My book wasn’t exactly glued to my hand but it might as well have been because it travelled everywhere with me. I just couldn’t bear to miss a single second of the story. It didn’t take me long to get to race through the book.
