I must firstly apologise for the amount of time it has taken me to provide a review of this book, my health was rather bad for quite some time, something that had me in hospital on numerous occasions and simply didnt leave me with the time I once had to do what I love most.

Unfortunately that does mean I have missed the archive date for many of these books, so It would feel unjust throwing any review together without being able to pay attention to each novel properly.

However, I am now back to reading as before and look forward to sharing my honest reviews as always going forward. I thank you f0r the patience and understanding throughout x

This is a Novella Suspense with a Second Chance Romance, and this is the first book in the MacArthur Family series. This book is a short and quick read, but it was really good. I think this book took me just over a hour to read the whole book. I have see people talk about the romance in this book, but this book has a suspense thing happening in the background. I enjoyed both the suspense and the romance, but if you do not like suspense romance you may not enjoy this book. I really got pulled into this book so fast, and it was well written. I think for a novella that was around 100 pages there was so much put into. I love a well written novella. The characters where very developed which I did not think was going to be the case because how short the book was. I really loved this book. I was kindly provided an e-copy of this book by the publisher (KR Press, LLC) or author (Katie Reus) via NetGalley, so I can give honest review about how I feel about this book. I want to send a big Thank you to them for that.

An all new, amazing series, that revolves around the Irish family and the craziness that ensures the fun and games are ON! Katie Reus is by far one of my favorite authors, no doubt about it. She has so many amazing series to enjoy that I never doubt when she begins a new one that I will be instantly enthralled and when I learned about this one I knew I would be jumping on it. The series begins with the series of two former lovers coming back together in a blaze of heat that is truly undeniable, along with some crazy danger and one psychotic stalker they never saw coming. Kathryn is a super-slick computer hacker (for the good guys), but she never imagined her latest challenge would be her ex’s new secure building. Daniel is beyond surprised to run into Kathryn but the feelings she stirs tell him that he never stopped wanting her, so when she’s back in his sphere he decides that it is time for some answers. Once he confronts her about why she left him to begin with, and it becomes abundantly clear that there was some serious miscommunication, nothing will keep him from her, especially when her life continues to be threatened by some unknown nutjob. Kathryn is dealing with a lot, but with attacks around every corner, she never thought she’d be dealing with a relationship with Daniel again, but she’s not strong enough to push him away for a second time. Once they are both too deep to deny their feelings anymore the true danger becomes surviving long enough to have a future, because the danger stalking Kathryn does not want them together. I was crazy enamored of Daniel as I got to know him, he is such a sweet and devoted guy, stepping in again and again to make sure that Kathryn is safe and happy, even when she fights him. HE is obviously used to getting what he wants, but the woman he really wants had run from him so much that he knows to tread lightly with her which tells me he is smart and dedicated to truly building a lasting relationship too. Not to mention when the enemy shows themselves he is willing to give his all to protect Kathryn. Kathryn was a little bit of a different story for me. She obviously had some hang-ups in her relationship with Daniel, ones that let other too easily manipulate her weaknesses, but once she begins to really trust him, even when she has moments of fear and back-slips, its obvious that she loves her man and is determined to have a life with him. She was intelligent, sweet, loving, and came with a crazy family –which I can’t wait to learn more about—and a hilarious cat as well. Passion was definitely not a problem for these two, in either the first or second round of their relationship, and I have a feeling it wont be an issue long into the future for them either. I look forward greatly, to seeing these two in future stories as we learn more about Kathryn’s family and see each of them find their loves and adventures. Another gem in the Reus crown.

Another great book by the wonderful Ms. Reus. Kathryn and Daniel belonged together and if not for her miss reading the situation, they should have never broken up. After realizing that she could be wrong, especially with an attempt on her life. Kathryn decides to give Daviel another chance and find out what really happened. Once the evil person is revealed, and Kathryn and Daniel continue to live their lives HEA. Loved it!

This novella is so much different than the other books that I have read by the author, but I like it a lot and look forward to reading future books in the series.

Daniel MacArthur fell for Kathryn Irish, the first time he met her. The relationship was going very well, until she suddenly broke it off, leaving him stunned. She saw a file with her name on it, on his desk and attached to it a sticky note with "gold digger" written on it. Instead of confronting him like an adult, she bolts. But she gets a second chance, when they meet while she is doing a security check on his building. This time he is going to find out why she broke up with him. Someone is sabotaging their relationship, but who and why?

I read an ARC provided by NetGalley.com and this is my unbiased and voluntary review.

*3.5 rounded up to 4 stars* I'm usually the person that always chooses the full length novels and skips the novella (and by usually, I mean always) but I requested this one on a whim because of the gorgeous, steamy cover and was so happy I did. Usually when I read a novella I'm left wanting more and feeling unfulfilled but that wasn't the case with this one. I feel like I got the whole story, the characters were summed up well, and we got that perfect dose of steam. The only reason why I didn't rate higher was the "mystery" was totally easy to figure out from the first little clue. But other than that, I came out wanting to continue the series and 100% glad I impulse read this one and would totally recommend Daniel and Kathryn's story.

Like It? Hate it? Love it? Why? Katie Reus is really the only author whose novellas I will happily read. She puts a lot into making sure that her novellas feel like a full length book. Falling for Irish is a good example of that.

This second chance romance had that special dash of suspense in it that the author is known for and honestly it really worked. Kathryn and Daniel are great characters, they can function individually and both of them have traits that make them likable. They work hard, they're smart, talented, and are good people.

What I really appreciated about the romance is that there was no dancing around the attraction, both characters admitted openly that they were still attracted to one another and Daniel made no secret of the fact that he messed up and wanted to try again. There was great communication between him and Kathryn and I think that's what had me believing in them as a couple. The physical chemistry was there but that's only part of what makes a strong relationship. They both used their past missteps as learning points and came back stronger. I loved that.

Click It or Skip It? Click it. Novellas usually leave me feeling unsatisfied but not this one.

A very enjoyable story with suspense, intrigue and a wonderfully engaging couple who have amazing chemistry. The love these two characters share for each other is clearly plain to see. The storyline made these likable characters lovable in their interactions. I especially liked the hint of more to come from this family. The drama surrounding their relationship was well written though I would have liked more detail during the story to clearly solidify the danger. Nicely done

Katie Reus’ first book, Falling for Irish, in her new series The McArthur Family is a novella just long enough to draw you , yet leave you wanting more. With the ideal mixture of romance, tension, and suspense, the pages nearly turned themselves as the story unfolded. The chemistry between Daniel and Kathryn is combustible...juxtaposed with the evil that hovers at the edges of the story, the author has combined the perfect elements for what’s sure to be a winning series.

This ARC book was complimentary, provided by the Publisher and NetGalley. I am voluntarily providing my honest review.

Kathryn Irish is one of the best computer security contractors in the business. Her company was hired to do security work by her ex boyfriend Daniel MacArthur. Daniel ran into her in the lobby of his building and couldn't get her out of his head.

Daniel misses Kathryn and is willing to do whatever it takes in order to win her back. Weird events happened during their time together but they could not figure out where they were coming from. Will they be able to find the culprit before its too late?

I thought this was a great opening to a new series. The MacArthur family is fun and from the description has hot secretive men. I am glad that these two characters got to have their HEA, they are good for one another.

Received ARC in exchange for voluntary honest review from NetGalley.

Leave it to Katie Reus to write a second chance romance that I not only love but can't get enough of. Falling for Irish is a fun, flirty, and action-packed little novella all wrapped up in a deliciously steamy romance package.

Kathryn Irish was really quite smitten until she discovered that Daniel wasn't who she thought he was. She thought they had a really good thing going until she found out that he thought she was after him for his money, so, she ended things. But, fate is a tricky thing. Kathryn gets a job that puts her perilously close to Daniel again. It isn't until Daniel and Kathryn run back into one another that he fully acknowledges he made one of the worst mistakes when he let her walk away. Now, he's going to make sure he fixes his error and makes sure she doesn't get away again.

One of the things I truly love is a romantic partner/character that knows what they want. Daniel realized what a doof he'd been and he swiftly made moves to correct his error. He was sure and persistent while respecting Kathryn's boundaries and I loved it. There was no subterfuge or hidden agendas, no coaxing or tricking. It was really quite adult and I love it so much for that. The chemistry and smexy times with the couple were very steamy and quite delicious. For the book being a novella, we still got a full range of emotions that felt naturally developed. The mystery aspect was quite fun to figure out whodunnit. I loved that we got a glimpse at both family's interactions and I hope we get more stories from those secondary characters.

As I said before, Falling for Irish is a fun, flirty, and action-packed little novella and I am ready for more!

This is a voluntary review of an advanced copy.

I love second chance romance and romantic intrigue so this was a mix of both so was a great read for me! Kathryn walked away from Daniel MacArthur but never gave him a reason and then they happened to meet again.

It was not too hard to figure out who was behind the attempts to break them up but didn't realize the motive so that kept things interesting!

The only thing that kind of annoys me in stories is these women that see something that makes them distrust or doubt the guy and instead of confronting the issue, they run away. I guess each person has their own way of doing things but if I saw the file and note that caused Kathryn to walk away, I would have gone straight to Daniel and told him that what I found was a a deal (relationship) breaker and he really screwed up. But, then if Kathryn had done that, there would not have been a story....lol

Another fun read and really looking forward to more stories from the MacArthur family!

I really liked this one! My only complaint is that I wish it would have been a full-length novel. Kathryn and Daniel were interesting, likeable characters, and Katie Reus did what she does best by including rich supporting characters made up of Daniel's family members.

The plot was short and sweet, but there managed to be just enough mystery, suspense, and romance to make it feel like a complete story. 4 solid stars for this one!

Quick, entertaining novella by Katie Reus. Loved that Kathryn was in a nontraditional female role of IT techie/hacker. Looking forward to the next books in the series.
