This is a kind of version sort of the movie The Bodyguard, Evelyn here is an actress with a fan who seems to be crossing the line and because of that her entourage contacts a friend of Alden, who recently had an incident while part of the team of Secret Service in charge of the POTUS' protection, to be her guardian. As in the movie, the bad guy brings a bit of confusion as to why they does it, As in the film, a bond is formed between protégé and protector and the families of the two play a fairly important role in the plot.
