This is a beautifully illustrated, magical book about a woodland Fairy called Katarina who teaches a girl called Evelyn and her friends at school all about values. She helps the children to be more confident and she shows them how they can use their favourite values to influence their future careers. For example, Jax is creative and adventurous so she tells him he might like a job in the future where he can create things or travel. Katarina teaches the children about independence, empathy, honesty, generosity and kindness. My daughter loved this book as she loves fairies. She loved the bright, colourful graphics and the characters.

This would be a great book to have in a school as it is educational. At the back of the book there are resources that teachers can use with their students.

This story seemed off to me as well as random. The flow just wasnt right and i wasnt a fan of the fairy/magic. Feel like if it was focused more on realism i would have liked it better and would have finished. Illustrations were nive but once the fairy popped up i chucked it. Didnt finish

It was easy to read and understand and I loved the main theme of the book too.

It was well written and had some lovely illustrations and I can't wait to read it with my daughter when she is a little older - I would love her to have some of these values!

I really fabulous book to start the conversation. It prompted some great dialogue in the class about how we see ourselves which is always important. The illustrations were just gorgeous too.

Katrina is a woodland fairy that gives a group of children a lesson about values. She explains one value, then had each child in the group answers the question what makes them happy. After hearing their answers, Katrina tells the value that they had just described. The. Children enjoyed the lesson. Katrina also warns them about other people who may tried to infflunce them with their values. Why?


Thee is a value glossary which list 12 values with definitions and tells which child has what value. There is also an idea that parents can help their children make up stories about different values. There is also a seperate page titled “Ideas for parents and caregivers.” Another page is “Ideas for teachers.” It is well written story for three to six years old children. The illustration are colorful and perfect for the story. I enjoyed how the children interacted with the woodland fairy. I thinks adults will enjoy discussing thee book with their children.

I read this book to several different groups of 5 and 6 year olds. Everyone of them loved it and requested it again at the next reading circle. We had a wonderful talk about how to make decisions and they all said Katrina was smart, funny and made good decisions.

What an empowering and insightful book for children of all ages! It’s positive affirmation of unique character strengths and inclusivity in a simplified, yet visually engaging format makes this a must-have for any elementary school library! What an incredible asset this book would be to all schools!

This is a beautifully illustrated children’s book that both teaches and entertains young children.

With a fairy involved it captures the imagination of young listeners, while providing relatable scenarios that help them understand their own core values whilst embellishing their vocabularies and enhancing emotional literacy skills.

This is a book I will dip into again and again!

You’ve got values is a beautifully illustrated children’s book. I love how each child has a different value that is important to them, very easy for a child to follow along and understand the story. The handy guide at the end for parents and teachers to create a Value Story with a child is great! I’ll definitely refer back to this book and look forward to reading Kristin A Sherry’s other 2 books in the series. Am definitely going to recommend her books in our military family book club.

A cute story about values presented in a way that young children can understand.

Without giving away too many aspects of this story, there is a new girl at school and the other kids decide to let her join them at their lunch table. Unknowing to the other kids, the new girl has a companion who explains to them why what they did was great and teaches them about their values. The narrative and the presentation are perfect for young readers, and the sections at the end of the book is perfect for family members and educators to give additional lessons to the children.

A great book by both authors, and the illustrator did a beautiful job with the illustrations!

I’m not sure if the digital version was out of order, but I couldn’t even follow this book. I will pick up a physical copy and give it another try.

This is such a bright and cheerful children's book that I really enjoyed. The illustrations are wonderful as well as the storyline. Katarina, a little woodland fairy, brings the book to life teaching a group of children to discover their values and stay true to them and to find friends who also have values that they stay true to. You’ve Got Values is a beautiful story, which teaches children the importance of values. As well as the fact that values are the centre of what we do and that we all value different things.

A lovely magical tale, with beautiful illustrations too.

I enjoyed this book, even though I felt the illustration was too busy and did not exactly match the mood of the story. I think this will be a great addition to primary classrooms, where readers can choose and read it independently. The language is accessible to early readers and I feel Sherry did a great job introducing the concept of values to children and inviting them to reflect on it. This is an important conversation to have and I do appreciate the story highlights how each person can have their own values, and that is okay! Values are part of individuality.

As a teacher at a school who keeps Values Based Education at the core of every single thing we do, this story is just lovely. We tell children about values and they know it is part of our school, but rarely do we discuss with them their own values. In a fun, non-threatening way, this story shows children how to think about their own core values and what is important to them. The addition of a fairy gives it a little magic that may draw in some of the children who may not otherwise engage. A lovely, light story with an important theme.

Thank You NetGalley for an advanced copy. This book is ultra cute! The full page illustrations are vivid, colorful, and detailed. I think the story was a little choppy, but that helps the readability for younger children. It really targets a wide variety of values, and this book isn't religious or preachy at all. I appreciate the glossary and ideas for parents and teachers. These kinds of books teaching tolerance are definitely needed in classrooms, especially with current events and politics. I can't wait to order a copy for my school.

This sweet little picture book is a bit cheesy and too long for to read the entire thing to a bunch of preschoolers. However, if your group is a little older (elementary school), cheesy or not, this is a great introduction of personal values - what they are and where they come from. The illustrations are fun and match the story. The concept of values, and several important values, are introduced, but not elaborated. This one is definitely meant for discussion and it hits the mark. This book is a great springboard for discussions. Definitely recommended.

I liked the pictures at the beginning of the book. Then it went into different values and discussed what was important to different people and why. I think many kids would be able to relate to something in the book.
