I must firstly apologise for the amount of time it has taken me to provide a review of this book, my health was rather bad for quite some time, something that had me in hospital on numerous occasions and simply didnt leave me with the time I once had to do what I love most.

Unfortunately that does mean I have missed the archive date for many of these books, so It would feel unjust throwing any review together without being able to pay attention to each novel properly.

However, I am now back to reading as before and look forward to sharing my honest reviews as always going forward. I thank you f0r the patience and understanding throughout x

I am a sucker for a workplace romance! I was sucked into this one and couldn’t put it down! It had the right amount of tension and wanting. I will definitely read more by this author in the future!

This is an office romance but so much more. David Powers wants to play the field as he feels he is too much like his father to marry and hurt someone like his father hurt his mother. Farren feels they can work through whatever his problems are and be ok. David has the problem of just up and leaving when it is more than he can handle. Farren has helped him with the company but there comes a time when she just cannot do it anymore. Will they be able to find their way to each other when they are not together everyday?

I’m rating this book with a 3 star because the story had a lot of potential but in my opinion it never really took off. The thing that really made no sense to me was this push-pull of both characters that lasted throughout the entire book. The female heroine was rather dull and David, well, he was simply someone put there who didn’t provide added value. If the story was more involving then I think it would have been great. Books need to be read regardless others personal and subjective opinions.

Dumped via text message from her boyfriend of two years, Farren dashes to the conference room to phone him to see what is going on. Bumping into someone along the way she doesn't look up to see who it is. Eventually talking to Crew to discover he has left her for a co-star on his show. Heartbroken she attempts to get on with her day. Discovering that there is to be a new CEO - David Powers, the son of the current CEO and the man she bumped into.

Attempting to turn the company around David is keen to get her everyone's input especially Farren. Her evasive answers in the open office leads to them have a private conversation in his office. Expressing her thoughts and Ida's on how they need to move the company forward and gain a younger engaged audience. He loves her ideas and promotes her to manager alongside the current manager Nick (who is not as engaged with her new ideas).

With a playboy reputation David might be someone Farren is attracted to but can't be with on a casual basis. Looking to be the only person in someone's life rather than the one of many - something David doesn't feel he can offer. A change of heart sees him wanting to work on a relationship with Farren, however, he has many family issues going on and doesn't share these with arren until he is forced to. Can they work through their issues together? Or are they better off apart?

I didn't love this book, but I didn't hate it.

I was reading it and all along I kept thinking "wait - first she loves one guy, then she is obsessed with this other guy" or I thought " come on - he's being kind of a jerk, and this in inappropriate in the workplace" yet I kept reading. I never bought into the fact that they were falling in love - there was no reason - they didn't really get to know each other. Yet... I kept reading.

I do want to thank the author, the publisher and #netgalley for the ARC which did not impact my review.

The One of Many was a fine story. I wasn’t obsessed with it, but it didn’t have any real issues with it either.

Farren’s new boss David Powers has everything she could ever look for in a man. Newly single, she can’t help but feel the attraction to the rich CEO. David doesn’t do relationships and commitment. He causally hooks up with women and that’s it- until he meets Farren and can’t get her out of his head.

I like that the book is written from Farren’s POV and I think we get a good feel for her attraction to David. I do think the story seems pretty long. At about 60% I thought it was almost over, just to learn we were still waiting for the big climax.

David isn’t the typical millionaire CEO who falls for his employee, which was refreshing. He has more substance and emotions than a lot of the guys in these type of stories, which made the fairly predictable story line more unique. Farren is a strong woman, but I like how she still isn’t perfect. She struggles with her ex’s infidelity and moving on, while wondering what these feelings for her boss are all about.

I love workplace romances, and so this was fun!

In this book, we meet Farren who is in a relationship with an upcoming actor and unfortunately it's not going so well. Enters David, her new boss. Both of them have been hurt in the past and they can't make their relationship work because they are too afraid to be willing to compromise. And when they finally do agree to try, something out of their control happens.

What I really enjoyed about this book is that you are never bored. There is always something happening and keeping you on your toes. I liked this about the book because it meant that the focus is not solely on the main problem and it keeps the book from dragging out.
Finally, what I enjoyed is that the characters weren't perfect. They had flaws, they were insecure about believable things and their lives didn't fall into place just because they came to an agreement concerning their relationship.

I'm not giving 5 stars for a few reasons. I would have preferred Farren to be less whiny at times and be more confident in herself (although it might have made her less convincing so it's like being stuck between a rock and a hard place). And I would have loved (this is a just a personal preference and it doesn't really have any impact on the story) an epilogue. I don't know why but I just like to have little snippets into the lives of the characters after the main story is over.

All in all, if I had to describe this book in a few words : Love, friendship, family, grief, self-growth

I do not regret reading this novel honestly 😂♥️ it's amazing with all the heartbreak, the stubbornness, and the love. My heart is still aching because wa didn't get the "make-up" scene till the very end, but I loved it. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT.
