I really liked this mafia romance. The characters were developed enough to keep me reading about them, and the plot was interesting. I just felt there was something missing. I wanted more, more plot and character development and more suspense.

I really enjoyed this story!

The storyline was good and well developed but for me it was a little "soft" in places for the Mafia!

The characters were great but at times there was a little too much detail and that did detract from the flow of the story, for example the book has the ingredients for cooking, etc and it really spoiled the flow in places and I don't think it was really needed - it could have been a much smoother read and I wanted a romantic story not a cooking course!

This is the second book in the series but it is fine to be read as a stand alone.

Generally it was a fun read and don't get me wrong, I did enjoy it but it left me wanting more - it is 4 stars from me for this one!

This was a new author for me and my least favourite trope- I don't like mafia romances, I read it for book challenge.
I liked the writting style, I was intrigued by the story, which was high paced and captivating.
I was glad there wasn't too much violence, and there was high level of love aspect.

Let me start by saying that this in the second book in the series. I do wish I had read book one first - mainly because I am a series girl - but this book also works well as a stand alone.

I haven't had the opportunity to read too many mafia books but I am in love.

I kind of laugh when I say there is a kidnapping in this story - it's just it's not initially realized and when it is, it's really not even an issue - so, there's that. Possibly a trigger warning for some, but with the way it's done...I'm not certain. Use your own judgement.

A story of a man seeking revenge for the death of his family...the daughter of a mafia boss...the plus? Alessandra isn't your typically portrayed movie/television mafia princess - thank goodness. There are plenty of twists and turns in this book and i did read it in one night.

If you are looking for action, loyalty (which as a prison wife is a HUGE thing for me), family, drama, something that veers from the traditional read...this book is for you. Let me know what you think in the comments:)

This is the second book in the series and can be read as a standalone. Massimo is out for revenge against those who killed his family. He believes Alessandra’s father has something to do with it. He takes her captive to pay for her father’s crimes. Soon sparks are flying between them. Will they learn who really is responsible for killing his family? Fast-paced mafia read with loads of drama, twists and turns and action. Great characters, intense chemistry and a sizzling story. I liked it.

After reading "Tempted" by Anna Ray, I decided to read another of her mafia books, "Trapped". I really wish I hadn't. This book had so many grammatical errors (both in the author's writing and in the dialogue between characters) that I cringed each time I saw a mistake. I totally understand if the author is trying to portray a certain vibe by demonstrating that the characters speak incorrectly, but that is not what was done in this case - it is as if the author herself speaks incorrectly. And where were the editors in all this? My english teachers all through school are probably rolling over in their graves right now.

Massimo was 19 when his family was murdered and he is seeking revenge. Even after 10 years, he wants nothing more than to kill the person that murdered his family. His mentor finally finds out who killed Massimo's family and gives that information to Massimo. Massimo decides to kidnap the killer's daughter just to make him sweat. What he didn't expect was to begin to have feelings for the 21 year old daughter, Alessandra.

This book had potential. As with every short story, the character development didn't have a chance to fully take place. But I just honestly couldn't get past the grammatical errors - it made reading this book more of a chore than pleasure.

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. The opinions stated above are mine without biases.

Trapped is book two in the Mafia Sinners series by Anna Ray. Were introduced to characters Massimo Accardi and Alessandra Giuliana who just seem to have a spark, even though they don’t meet under the best of circumstances. Massimo has been looking for the killer of his family for years, but when he finds out that Alessandra’s father could have something to do with it, he is not only going to make him pay, but also her. Here we have a dark and brooding character, met with a fiery and sassy woman who wants to get out from under her father rule.

This was a wonderfully written, mafia romance, which has enough action and sexy scenes to make you keep turning the pages. We see the development of Massimo and Alessandra’s relationship as more secrets come to light and both of them are left questioning their role in their respective families. Alessandra isn’t your typical mafia princess and definitely has her own will and mind. I liked that she told Massimo exactly what she thought and even though she was nervous, told her father what she thought.

I also liked that Massimo wasn’t that mean at all to Alessandra and tried to make her as comfortable as possible as he plotted and planned.

Overall, a good, light mafia read by a new author for me.

ARC received for a fair, honest and sometimes long review. All opinions are my own. 😊

This is the 2nd Anna Ray book I have read and she is definitely becoming one of my favorite authors. I liked this book better than the first in the series (Tempted). This one was longer which was better for me. All of the books in the Mafia Sinners Series can be read as standalones.
I was able to see the relationship between Massimo and Alessandra start and blossom into what it is now. I really enjoy a mafia romance that focuses equally on the mob side of things as well as the relationship aspect. I can not wait to read the next book Collided when it comes out next week.

Massimo learns who has murdered his family and seeks revenge. His uncle tells him that the murder was done by a rival mob leader. Massimo decides to kidnap the rival's daughter in order to get him to meet him. Massimo ends up following in love with Alessandra and together they seek the truth. All is not what it seems to be. I really liked this book.

Mafia Romance...done ok? The book kept my interest but there wasn't nearly enough character development. Many of the things they'd do were confusing and didn't seem correct and somewhat confusing. The ending was a bit of a let down and I didn't have any interest in reading further about other characters which was sad because I love me a good mafia series.
