I must firstly apologise for the amount of time it has taken me to provide a review of this book, my health was rather bad for quite some time, something that had me in hospital on numerous occasions and simply didnt leave me with the time I once had to do what I love most.

Unfortunately that does mean I have missed the archive date for many of these books, so It would feel unjust throwing any review together without being able to pay attention to each novel properly.

However, I am now back to reading as before and look forward to sharing my honest reviews as always going forward. I thank you f0r the patience and understanding throughout x

Sky needs money to fund medical bills and treatment so sets out to find her families long lost diamonds and finds herself in Costa Rica where she meets Benoit, a billionaire who needs a wife urgently. He agrees to help Sky if she agrees to help him and so the story is set.

Costa Rica provides a great setting for the romance and the story really gets going once Sky arrives. The first few chapters however can be quite slow reading. This is the first book in a series and quite a bit of time is spent setting the series up.

Oh my gosh!
Skye’s family have inherited an estate following the death of their estranged grandfather and they have been tasked with finding the missing family jewels within 2 months or the estate will be turned over to the National Trust but they really need the money as her mother is really ill and a postcode lottery means that she can’t get the treatment she needs on the NHS. There is a slight hitch, to find the jewels she needs a map that was hidden with another family and it is for that reason that she meets Benoit
Skye is a difficult character to like in the beginning, she has been looking after her sisters for years and denying herself what she wants to try and make those around her happy. I loved er development throughout the story where she becomes more of the person she could be rather than the one she feels she has to be
Benoit needs to marry before his 32nd birthday and Skye turning up in his life and needing the map his family have comes at a good time. He is so used to people being selfish and doing things for themselves and this does make him harder to understand but at the same time he has a great love for his aunt and it’s his loyalty to his family that makes him the character he is. Skye makes him look inside himself and challenge his beliefs just as he does with her and it works so well and made me love him as a character even more
The treasure hunt is what caught my attention initially but it’s the play between Benoit and Skye that sucked me into this book and wouldn’t let me go. They seem so different as characters but both are scarred by their pasts and it is only by being together that they have any hope of becoming who they deserve to be
I would recommend this book to those who enjoy a story full of drama, secrets and revelations that will capture your interest and not let you go!

An historical family inheritance mystery, with the entrusted historical solution being passed down through the generations in another, enabling the secrets to be revealed.

The search brings the two people involved together. They have a deep connection and ignoring this attraction is impossible.

Their family situations causes them to embark on a mutually agreed engagement, for a speedy marriage. But true love wins through, so they marry at leisure, with even an advanced pregnancy not rushing them.

With a happy ever after ending in this romantic story of love, commitment and happiness.

. Sky Soames is searching for her family’s lost diamonds to find her mother’s cancer treatment. This hunt leads her to billionaire Benoit Chalendar’s mansion in the Costa Rican rainforests as his Aunt holds the map which will lead to the diamonds. He agrees to help her find the diamonds if she agrees to marry him as to remain the CEO of F his company he needs to get married within two weeks before he is 32 to look as though he is setting down.
It is interesting to see Skye blossom in the rainforest and become less uptight. I enjoyed the descriptions of the rainforest as well. But can their attraction survive the return to reality?
This is the first of a trilogy following the stories of three girls. A lot of this novel seems to drag as the scene is being set for them all but as the reader I wish this had been cut down and more emphasis placed on Costa Rica itself. Skye is a strong character but again as the reader I wonder why she didn’t tell Benoit the real reason she needed the diamonds. Benoit is the traditional M&B hero, strong, in need of a wife etc. If you can make it past the first few chapters this is an enjoyable read and I look forward to reading the others in the series.

I received this book via Netgalley and Mills and Boon in exchange for a honest review. I am a #MillsAndBoonInsider #netgalley

Skye needs to go on a treasure hunt to find jewels which will fund her mother’s cancer treatment, and his Aunt has the map, Benoit needs a wife before he turns 32 in two weeks., so they agree on a marriage on convenience to solve both problems. This is a great story of self discovery and insight into how their childhoods have affected the adults they have become, and how both help to heal each other.

Received an Arc from Netgalley and Mills and Boon in return for an honest review.

This was so slow to get going. I know the author was setting up a three-book series but I kept thinking when do we get to Costa Rica and when do we meet the hero?

The endless coverage of the funeral, the visit to the house, the loathsome solicitor, the will, the challenge they faced, the deadline, the backstory for the three girls and their mother - this section seemed to go on forever and I was swiftly losing my patience - and the will to live!!

However, once we got to Costa Rica, the story lifted off and I really enjoyed it. Benoit was an interesting guy with a strong and realistic reason for needing to marry and Skye was a strong and driven heroine who was prepared to make the sacrifice in the hope of helping her mother. I thought her reasons for not telling Benoit about her mother's cancer were strange and lacked credibility.

Other than that, I enjoyed most of this story but I would have liked an Epilogue that was less 'telling' and more 'showing.' It just seemed to be endless 'he did, she did'. I would have liked more real emotion and for it to be demonstrable not reported.
