Volume 7 of Hell's paradise just has more action, which always a good thing. The battles are getting more intense but the art is still amazing. Can't wait for the next Volume of this great manga.

Body horror, Taoist(ish) trappings, ultra violent action, and now a heist? The philosophy and morality of this book may be questionable, but the worldbuilding is amazing, the band of odd fellows is easy too root for, and the feeling hat our heroes are going to be squeezed by two sets of implacable enemies is growing. The tension is ratcheting up, and I'm loving it.

Another intense installment in the Hell's Paradise series! I'm super excited that Gabimaru and the gang are finally getting to face off against Lord Tensen and I'm interested to see what will happen when the second landing party catches up with them.

Action, murder, and answers at last!

Following the introduction of new characters at the end of volume 6, reads are immediately pulled into the chaos of this group on the island. As revealed in the previous volume, the group is a blend of higher-ranked Yamada Asemon and Iwagakure ninjas. Each group has their directive that is sure to clash with escaping the island.

Gabimaru and the other survivors are making their move against the Tensen and learning to master Tan. But readers will soon learn of the hiccups to come and what the Hoshi Sorcerer wants. Readers will get some backstory for a new character and tons of action.

This volume delivers answers that readers have been aching to know, but will also leave more questions! Excited for the next volume.

After the slightly slower pace of V6 we are back to full speed as the group resumes their efforts to find the Elixir and get off the island.

This series is kind of wild and more than a little unsettling, and honestly, I love it. Between the overall design aesthetic of the scenery and the characters, it’s like a gorgeous nightmare. The fight scenes remain incredibly well done and dynamic. With the addition of more reinforcements landing on the island and the group getting ever closer to making it to their goal, the plot is really ramping up and taking some unexpected turns.

A few volumes ago I would of told you I had general ideas of where the plot could go, but now I just don’t know. With the big face-offs happening, some flexible loyalties added aggressors, and mysteries still left to uncover I am honestly not sure what volume 8 will hold. I am excited to find out though.

I received a review copy in exchange for an honest review from Viz Media and Netgalley. All opinions are my own.
