I read this book with my 3 year old son. We found this book very engaging and he loved the counting of animals through the book. The pictures are very bright and we liked how we could see all the different animals clearly. It was good to see how the sun and earth are best friends and seeing how the sun see earth. I love how this little book gives important information in a child friendly way in how to keep earth people safe and how to be echo-friendly.

Love Our Earth is perfect for the little ones in your family

What do you see? Come and meet, in gorgeous illustrations, some animals having fun, travel to the jungle, the hills, the desert and the sea and river too. Come and see the flowers and the snow and all around planet earth and read aloud this beautiful short and sweet story. It really is enticing for your little ones as they get to know the world around them and come to love it.

The book encourages children to be observant when reading the book. It’s a book that would be perfect to snuggle with your child and read aloud and see what your child can see as you read along. It lends itself perfectly for some fun and easy interaction as an introduction to what is on planet earth. There is also some fun within the short sentences of the lyrically flowing text, which is also written out in a fun, flowing way, that fits well with how it is naturally read.

Love our Earth, Jane Cabrera

Love our Earth is a beautifully illustrated picture book created in conjunction with earthday.org. Visually, it is a real treat and will engage young readers and adults alike, as they explore Earth environments, identifying and counting the features and creatures mentioned in the text.
Suggestions on how to care for our planet are a lovely way to begin children on their environmental awareness journey and build on the ‘Earth appreciation’ of the book.
This is definitely one I’d pick up for our class libraries in Reception and Year 1, and would enjoy sharing with little ones myself.

This book is an enchanting look at our world, taking children step by step through all the beautiful places we inhabit. Through mountainous regions, forests and deserts, seas, rivers and jungles.

With nearly every page the words start ‘ I see..’ and then we explore a list of all the creatures that dwell on the pages. My daughter throughly enjoyed searching through the pictures whilst I read her the text, and spotting all the animals and creatures described. Page by page we discovered turtles diving, seals peaking and a howler monkey swinging, to name just a few.

The illustrations are extremely cute and appealing and the story is beautifully descriptive. We really enjoyed this book together.

There is a great section at the back of the book explaining how we can continue to Love our Ear

I love this book! The illustrations and the colour palette are gorgeous. And it teaches children how wonderful our planet is. I also loved the last part, where it teaches children to be more eco-friendly. Great book.

This is a gorgeous picture book which describes nature and the beautiful things on Earth for children to appreciate. On each page it lists out different things on Earth and they can be found in the picture; some are easier to see than others so children will love searching for all of them. The overall message of the book is that Earth looks after us so we should look after it and this is a great message to teach children from a young age. The final two pages teach children various ways in which they can help look after the Earth. The illustrations are bright and vibrant. All young children will love this book but based on my daughter’s response I think 4-6 year olds will love it the most as they can enjoy it more independently.
