Such a wonderful and surprisingly thorough overview of the major causes of climate change - with gorgeously colourful illustrations!

It's a very hopeful book, with the focus on things that people can do to make a difference, and I loved that there were so many suggestions for things children specifically could do, and I absolutely love the interactive section at the end, that has really specific prompts for children to think and research further.

I appreciated the profiles of individual activists too, and glad to see a variety of people from around the world, as well as your expected Greta Thunbergs and David Attenboroughs,

My only criticism might be that it feels a little numbers-heavy in places: e.g. 250 million tonnes of rubbish is pretty difficult to conceptualise, especially for a child!

Activists Assemble - Save Your Planet is bursting full of history, facts, stats, questions, and discussion points.

The book demonstrates the importance of the changes we need to make and gives practical ideas of how we can do this. Put forward is the concept of our responsibility towards nature, each other, and the planet as a whole. Highlighting that we need to take action now, by as soon as 2030 it may be too late.

Throughout the book are profiles of famous (and not so famous) campaigners and activists such as David Attenborough, Greta Thunberg, Marina Silva and Bella Lack.

At the end is a wonderfully in-depth activity section to really inspire further thinking on what has been learnt from the book and prior knowledge. As well as meaningful actions that can be made straight away to make an impact going forward.

Can be read as a whole text or individual sections used for specific learning points.

My main takeaway – This book not only gets you to STOP and THINK, but also, to be ACTIVE with solutions and your own individual efforts day to day to save our planet.

Wow what an amazing and informative book. The layout is brilliant and the amount of text is just right without being too long and drawn out, making it boring. The pages are absolutely beautiful and very colourful, so very appealing for kids.

I was extremely happy to see that a section on meat eating is included in the book, as this often gets glossed over or left out completely (proud vegan here!) There are also lots of fab activities at the back which would be great for the classroom / homework too!
