I must firstly apologise for the amount of time it has taken me to provide a review of this book, my health was rather bad for quite some time, something that had me in hospital on numerous occasions and simply didnt leave me with the time I once had to do what I love most.

Unfortunately that does mean I have missed the archive date for many of these books, so It would feel unjust throwing any review together without being able to pay attention to each novel properly.

However, I am now back to reading as before and look forward to sharing my honest reviews as always going forward. I thank you f0r the patience and understanding throughout x

Due to a sudden, unexpected passing in the family a few years ago and another more recently and my subsequent (mental) health issues stemming from that, I was unable to download this book in time to review it before it was archived as I did not visit this site for several years after the bereavements. This meant I didn't read or venture onto netgalley for years as not only did it remind me of that person as they shared my passion for reading, but I also struggled to maintain interest in anything due to overwhelming depression. I was therefore unable to download this title in time and so I couldn't give a review as it wasn't successfully acquired before it was archived. The second issue that has happened with some of my other books is that I had them downloaded to one particular device and said device is now defunct, so I have no access to those books anymore, sadly.

This means I can't leave an accurate reflection of my feelings towards the book as I am unable to read it now and so I am leaving a message of explanation instead. I am now back to reading and reviewing full time as once considerable time had passed I have found that books have been helping me significantly in terms of my mindset and mental health - this was after having no interest in anything for quite a number of years after the passings. Anything requested and approved will be read and a review written and posted to Amazon (where I am a Hall of Famer & Top Reviewer), Goodreads (where I have several thousand friends and the same amount who follow my reviews) and Waterstones (or Barnes & Noble if the publisher is American based). Thank you for the opportunity and apologies for the inconvenience.

I enjoyed this thriller, the multi point of views helped add depth to the plot and there was plenty of drama to keep me engaged

Way to go Bookouture authors! There are so many writers within this publishing house, especially when it comes to suspense which is my favorite read. What a fantastic premise with My Husband's Girlfriend (and I think every wife's worst nightmare when it comes to someone infiltrating their family). A fantastic thrill of a read.

Steve and Sarah have separated but are still staying in contact for their three-year-old son Ollie. Steve has a new girlfriend Laura and Sarah wants to make sure that when Ollie goes and visits them, he is being taken care of. When Ollie comes home, Sarah gets the impression that Laura is trying to manipulate him but Laura has explanations for everything and everyone thinks Sarah is just being overly suspicious.

The book started out decent but the buildup was so slow, I had a hard time engaging in any of it. The middle of this book felt really dull and repetitive and I honestly started skimming and hoping something interesting would happen. The only redeeming quality is it did have several twists towards the end but they weren't the gasping kind of twists I was hoping for. I also didn't really care for any of the characters.

*Many thanks to Bookouture for the gifted copy for my honest review!*

My first book from this author, and I have heard so much about her!
I expected a lot from such a well respected author, but this one felt a little chaotic. I usually enjoy several POVs telling the story but this one just felt disjointed rather than a complete well rounded view. I enjoyed the personalties, they all had a story to tell but it came across as repetitive at times.
Pacing was more of a slow burn rather than an unputdownable story, and I did struggle to feel engaged through the whole book.

I absolutely adore Sheryl Brownes covers on her books. They grab me everytime. This book was full of twists and turns. It had some different topics in it that arent usually discussed in books so it made it so much more interesting. This book was very good and I highly recommend.

Sarah and Steve have recently separated and their three year old son Ollie lives with his mum and sees his dad at weekends. Steve has a new girlfriend Laura and Sarah is not happy when Steve wants Ollie to sleep over and meet Laura. When Ollie returns after his sleepover he tells Sarah that Laura told him a secret and he’s not tell her. He also came back with a new teddy that Laura had bought him but she didn’t send his old favourite teddy that he had had since birth back with him which upsets Sarah and makes her very suspicious of Laura. Sarah is in a new relationship to with an old boyfriend she bumped into, Joe and both him and Steve think Sarah is overreacting about Laura but she is convinced that Laura is telling lies and keeping secrets and becomes obsessed with finding out the truth. So the visits carry on as Ollie seems keen to go but when he disappears Sarah is convinced that Laura is responsible. But is she right? This is a slow burning psychological thriller with the tension building. There are so many secrets and lies to be revealed that will keep you totally gripped and a jaw dropping ending too. Another brilliant read from Sheryl Browne.
Thanks to Netgalley and Bookouture for giving me the opportunity to read and review this book.

This book was well written but did cover a few topics that might be triggering so sensitive readers. I enjoyed the book and will read more by Sheryl in future. Recommended.

My Husbands Girlfriend by Sheryl Browne was a great read. A great psychological thriller that hooked me in from the first few pages and I could not put it down. A gripping, plot twisting read that kept me on the edge of my seat. One of my favourite authors, I’m looking forward to my next one.

Sarah starts to notice that her ex's new girlfriend is becoming very close to their son Ollie, and one evening Ollie lets his mum know that he's been told a secret, which he's not meant to tell mum,, Sarah tries to get help regarding this but no one wants to listen, then one day Ollie goes missing - a thrilling page turner which keeps you guessing throughout, highly recommended, Ive loved every one of Sheryls books.

My Husband's Girlfriend by Sheryl Browne I loved this book and was hooked within the first few pages. Then, I have just loved reading all of Sheryl's books in the past. This new book did not disappoint It was fast paced with lots of twists and turns throughout with a great ending to it.

I highly recommend this latest book by Sheryl. Fab read x

Big thank you to Sheryl Browne the author, NetGalley and Bookouture the publisher for an ARC of My Husband's Girlfriend in exchange for an honest review.

Sarah & Steve have broken up but they have been able to continue to be civil to each other for the sake of their son Ollie, who spends most of the time with Sarah, going to Steve at weekends. Now Steve has a new partner & Sarah wants to meet her before Ollie goes to stay with them. Laura strikes Sarah as a pleasant but rather nervous with a stammer when she is nervous. Sarah thought the meeting had gone quite well. Sarah also has a new partner who is also divorced (thought it was a bit rich her wanting to meet Laura when she hadn't even mentioned Joe to Steve!!) Ollie seems to get on well with Laura although there are soon things Sarah is not happy about.

Told from various points of view, this was quite a convoluted tale. I found it a good read even if at times I found the actions/reactions of the characters were asking for a bit of a stretch of belief. Thanks to netgalley & the publisher for letting me read & review this book.

This is by far one of the best psychological thrillers that I have read in a long time! The story is told from varying points of view which provides a great deal of insight into what is transpiring. So many secrets. So many misunderstandings. There is a lot happening in this story, and I found myself turning the pages faster and faster to see what would happen next. On the other hand, I did not want it to end so I did try to pace myself. A definite battle, I’m telling you. Thank you to NetGalley, the author and publisher for the opportunity to review this book.

There were parts of this psych thriller that seemed like there were two separate books going on at the same time. The main part is about Sarah and her son, Ollie. Her ex (Steve) has a new girlfriend (Laura). For the obvious usual reasons (new girlfriend, protective mom, etc.), Sarah doesn’t trust Laura. But is there more to it? And is Sarah right to be overly cautious? Roughly halfway through the book, Laura’s mother shows up, and all of a sudden there is a lot more at play than originally appeared. I thought Sarah’s part of the story was well-done, but the rift between Laura and her mother was less successful. This is unfortunate, because it actually had great bearing on the overall resolution of the story. It still kept me engaged, and I would recommend it. You know when you read a Sheryl Browne book, the first thing that happens is that the brain cells go zipping and zapping, trying to see those invisible connection, the subplots, the author could have made in the story.

The same thing happened here too. Just a few pages into the story and my heart lurched with excitement, my mind started mapping all the subplots that could happen. There was a delicious forbidden feeling in it as if the author was bringing the impending suspense to light, enhanced by my own anticipations.

Four POVs of the main characters. Sarah was a good mother to son Ollie. But when the ex brought his girlfriend, Laura, into picture, all her antennae rose in alertness, warning her of an unknown danger. Then Ollie went missing.

This started slowly giving me enough time to think how these characters could be connected. I had a few theories based on everyone’s reactions. Though only one came true. The rest were twisted by the wicked author Sheryl Browne.

This was a different thriller; there was drama in the lives of all these characters. I was quite taken aback by the mini whirlpool of emotions surrounding them. Quite a novel idea. The plotline was so carefully written that seeing all these tiny pictures I lost sight of the main arc. Damn that was some sleight of the hand!!

I completely missed guessing the perp. I hope to do better in the next Sheryl Browne book. If the author ever reads my review, consider yourself forewarned!! 😂 😂

I may have been late in writing this review, but it is never too late to pick up this book!!

Sarah knows something isn’t quite right with her ex husbands partner Laura. Laura seems to be trying to keep Sarahs son Oliver on her side by making his favourite foods, buying him the best toys, decorating his room exactly as his room at home, making up hero stories for him - nothing too sinister. Sarah confronts her ex when Laura tells Olly to keep secrets from her. She begins to look into Laura’s past to find that she seemed to have been married before and had a child of her own even though she had never mentioned this before. When Olly goes missing - Sarah suspects the worst. A fantastic read full of twists and turns.

Very weird and complex story. You think it's straight forward but it's not. Plenty of surprises and twists.
