It is a STEM guide for kids. It describes 25 scientists who have contributed immensely to science of biology. It describes how they discovered the hidden science from nature. It also describes 25 experiments that kids can do at home to understand biology behind their discovery. A wonderful science book to stimulate scientific curiosity in kids. A perfect birthday gift.

This has to be the most adorable Science project book EVER! My boys and I truly enjoyed reading through the projects and picking through picking which ones we wanted to complete. The Kitchen Pantry Science Biology for Kids is totally different from any other books that we have tried, and the mere fact that is all projects that can be completed with simple household items made it so much easier considered Covid and the limitations of being able to leave the home.

An excellent resource for engaging children in science, Informative and full of fun projects for kids to do at home. Particularly useful in these precarious educational times.

I love Heinecke's books and have her other for Kids experiments books that we utilize in our homeschool curriculum. They are a blast and I love the beautiful visuals! This book delivers equally as well as the others we have used. The experiments are educational and engaging and my kids were very excited to try them! Like me, they also enjoy flipping through the books, studying the pictures, and reading the experiments. This is a great resource!

As a mom of two boys who currently homeschools them...this was perfect! What a great tool to use things you already have at home to teach such in-depth lessons. Great for any parent or teacher looking to make biology a bit more fun and afforable.

A fun book to read and learn that not only kids will enjoy but the adults too! The book gives a brief description of the scientists important work is described and if it is still being used. It does include some background of the scientist. There is an experiment at the end of the information given about the scientist. The experiments given contains materials usually already available in your home. Occasionally, you may need to buy some material. The experiments are simple yet the few I tried were fascinating. With Maria S. Merian ‘s experiment given, I went beyond it and studied the different spiders in my house. Did you know that Charles Darwin wrote a book about earthworms? I didn’t but I do now! What an inspiring book! It might make the kids who use this book become inspired to become a scientist!

The Kitchen Pantry Scientist - Biology for Kids is a great book for teaching children about famous Biologists and their discoveries.

The pictures are really bright and helpful and these sit alongside step-by-step instructions for experiments that children can undertake themselves.

Both informative and hands-on and would be great for use in the classroom.

This is a colorful book that combines biographies of scientists with kitchen table experiments and activities to expand on their discoveries. Most are rather simple and don't require fancy equipment or materials. I appreciated the number of female scientists, even going back hundreds of years.

This book covers insect life-cycle, animal classification, plate tectonics, evolution, buoyancy, chemical reactions, pollination, germination, plant classification, and so much more. Love it! Perfect for elementary classrooms and/or home.

My twelve year old is unhappy with the ebook and is pestering me to hurry up and get the print version so she can get involved with the activities and not just read about the various scientists and their work (but she did seem to enjoy that part anyway). I don't think that without 2020 she would never become so involved! Good work!

Very interesting book. You learn about the lives of some famous scientists as well as some whose work should be known by all. The creative experiments at the end of each section are great. The taxonomy picture was good. Had fun with it, teaching kids to read it as well as made my third grader write it down in a notebook, so she can use it as a reference to sort animals next time. We made that even more fun trying to sort us humans into a group. Very engaging book. You also find out about the scientist who discovered Coronavirus.

I LOVED THIS BOOK! I’m always looking for ways to make science fun for my kids-because Science is fun when you pull away from “text books”.

Awesome educational book with fantastic illustrations/pictures! Each section features a different scientist and concept giving a brief biography and related homemade experiment. The experiments all use household or easy to find items. A perfect introduction to biology. I would definitely recommend this to budding scientists age 7/8 or older!
