Thank you to Netgalley, WF Howes, and LV Matthews for my advanced Listening Copy of The Prank in exchange for an honest review.

Out Now!!

Would you take a chance at revenge? Eleanor Greene is still grieving her father when she comes across a familiar name one night when working in her waitressing job. When it adds up and she realises he's linked to her father's death she realises she has the perfect opportunity to get revenge and justice for her father's death. But things begin to spin out of control and El can't seem to know when to stop.

I received an audio copy of this book to listen to and review and thought it was read really well, the narrator is fantastic really good at all the different voices and accents and makes it very easy listening. The story is interesting, edge of the seat listening, if the main character and her sister are both a little whiney and annoying. The thriller elements are great and the twists went in directions I could never have anticipated and that's what always makes a fantastic thriller especially as I'm usually good at guessing! Really enjoyable and I would definitely read more by this author.

I finished this last night and loved it! It was fast-paced, fun and twisty. I had lots of theories running through my head while reading too. I will definitely be picking up whatever L.V. Matthews writes next!

I would highly recommend picking up a copy if you’re looking for an addictive, twisty story.

Really surprised by how much I enjoyed this story. The narration throughout is spot on and fits the characters perfectly. It’s an unusual setting although the themes of loss, obsession and revenge are universal. The central character embarks on a payback journey. Although seemingly improbable, she obtains employment as a PA with a TV reality show production company. And then the games begin as she delves into the background of the person she’s targeting.

The author creates a real feel fi the superficiality of reality TV. So many throw away remarks showing how ratings trump human values. The plotting is tight and well paced and to my surprise, I was absolutely hooked by this unlikely thriller. Enjoyed it and will watch for more from this author.

My thanks to the publisher for a review copy of the audio book via Netgalley.

This book looks at the danger of pranks and the lure of reality tv. Straight away the prologue throws you into the action with the historic definitions of pranks and their dangers.

The narrator is great, I loved all the accents she did and she kept the pace of the drama going. I did feel the central portion of the story could have been condensed slightly but overall I enjoyed the story.

This was another of the Georgia Maguire audiobook revelations.
Honestly, this narrator can do no wrong in my eyes. Her talent for portraying the sadness, drama is excellent and her accents for the many characters are absolutely superb!
The book was a very fast read and the excitement continues through the entire book with no let up.
I could have listened to it for hours, and I did. It was even during the night when my insomnia was bad!
It was a great book and thoroughly enjoyable.

A harmless prank. A tragic outcome. Now, the joke’s on them...
I listened to this audio in one day! That's how great it was.
If you're looking for a awesome book with crazy stuff happening this is your book!
The chapters were short and sweet. And the narrator wasn't bad!

People have always played pranks on one another and it’s always seen as a bit of harmless fun and it is even more relevant in a time where watching people on social media playing stupid pranks on each other is a daily part of our lives but what if a so called harmless prank set of a chain of unthinkable chain reactions with devastating consequences and this it what El finds out as when she was a young girl her father committed suicide, it’s something she has always blamed herself for and as a result she’s never done well at school and has always kept her distance from people, keeping them at arms length and not letting them get to close, but when her uncle lets slip a name that could be connected to her dad she can not help herself and finds herself trying to connect the dots, and finally get some answers.
The Prank is a really brilliant novel and I was lucky enough to be able to listen to an advance version of the audiobook and the narrator Georgia Maguire was great with her retelling of the story, her voice was pleasant (unlike some narrators that just drone on and you find your mind wandering) she managed the pace and suspense just right andI found I didn’t want to turn it off that I just kept wanting to carry on listening just to find out what would happen next. An excellent debut.

I listened to this audiobook within 2 days - something that has never happened to me before, I was well and truly hooked from the very start. The premise of a huge hit of a TV show with some hidden secrets really drew me in. I felt immediately attached to the lead character and was routing for her throughout. This is a rich, clever piece of writing that is easy to follow despite there being a number of twists. I found it unpredictable and addictive. The narration was perfect, just the right tone for the story. An absolute success
