William Warwick, now a Detective Inspector, is tasked with a dangerous new line of work, to go undercover and expose crime of another kind: corruption at the heart of the Metropolitan Police Force. His team is focused on following Detective Jerry Summers, a young officer whose lifestyle appears to exceed his income. But as a personal relationship develops with a member of William’s team, it threatens to compromise the whole investigation. Meanwhile, Rashidi a notorious drug baron goes on trial, with the prosecution case led by William’s father Sir Julian and sister Grace. And William’s wife Beth, now a mother to twins, renews an old acquaintance who appears to have turned over a new leaf, or has she?
This is the third in the series & as with all series I’ve to start from the beginning. I love the author’s books as he’s such a master storyteller. I was drawn in from the start & once again found it hard to put down. Wonderful characters who leap out of the page & a fast paced story had me glued to my kindle. Of course there were twists & turns as the author always keeps you on your toes. I highly recommend this book & can’t wait for more to come
My honest review is for a special copy I voluntarily read

In Jeffrey Archer’s third book in the Detective William Warwick series, newly promoted Detective Inspector William Warwick gets tasked with leading a clandestine undercover unit to fight corruption inside the London Metropolitan Police Force. Having to keep the undercover unit a secret from his family, William has to juggle this new responsibility, his usual work-load at the drug squad and his duties as a new father.

Drug baron Assem Rashidi is on trial at the Old Bailey, having been captured by William and Met Police in the elaborately planned raid in Brixton (see book 2). William’s father Sir Julian and William’s sister Grace lead the Crown’s prosecution. Of course, Rashidi’s defense lawyer is none other than Booth Watson, happy to work for any criminal with enough money to make it worth his while.

Imprisoned while awaiting trial, Rashidi quickly takes over the prison drug trade and establishes himself as the boss inside the prison. But the prison guards might not be the only ones willing to make Rashidi’s life more comfortable. When important evidence in the trial against Rashidi goes missing, it becomes clear that someone working inside the Met Police must be on his side.

Like the first two books in this series, I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book, which is full of twists and unexpected turns, in true Jeffrey Archer style. The plot is fast-paced, but the characters are still well-developed. While I do not mind the court drama, I would have preferred a little less of it and more crime fighting undercover work/ art crimes, like in the first instalment of the series.

While this is the third book in the series, it continues straight from where the second one left off, so it is advisable to read them in order to make sense of the plot and characters' histories.

I look forward to reading the next book in the series.

Turn A Blind Eye further develops the story of William Warwick, who is now a Detective Inspector. Following what happened at the end of the second book in the series, we know he is not happy in his place work. How will he be convinced to stay in the police force? What will his next assignment be and will his fast track to greater things feature another promotion and new department?
This book is the third in the series which will show how William rose to the position of power to police commissioner. It is a great series of books, with a mixture of familiar characters, drama, suspense and humour, police procedure, courtroom trials balanced with William’s extended family life. A really good all round series of books, I enjoy each one I read as much, if not more, than the last. I am already looking forward to the next book in the series!
Thanks to NetGalley for a Kindle copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

This is the third instalment with William Warwick. I thought I had read both previous books but, in fact, only read the first. I found the story line confusing so have given up til I've read the second book. I would not recommend it as a stand-alone. I given 4* based on the first book and the potential of this one.

This is book three in the series and, as with all series, it is best to start from book one and read in order. Even though the main story is self contained, there are series arc storylines that have run from book one that although have a bit of a catch-up in this book, are best known fully for maximum effect.
So, William is tasked with an undercover mission. To expose corrupt cops - AC12 anyone - within the Met. He and his able team are targetting one of William's old mates from training - Det Jerry Summers who appears to be spending more than he should be making. It's not the best time for him to be away from home - or maybe it is - with his twins imminent - but needs must and Beth has support aplenty from a face from past books. The newly widowed Christine Faulkner.
We also have the trial - prosecution led by William's father and sister - of drug baron Ahmed Rashidi - remember the shenanigans from book two (see you should be reading in order).
So... a busy busy book in all. And the author does a great job of juggling all the threads as they meander their ways through the book. Closing off some and leaving others to run their course in future books. Not cliffhangers as such just stuff left without complete conclusion. But that's OK as it is a series. Enough is closed off for satisfaction, the rest just appetite whetting for the future.
William is also progressing nicely. He is going up the ranks and accepting the new responsibility that entails. He is also getting more responsibility personally with the new additions to his family.
Tightly plotted and expertly executed this book hits the ground running from page one and doesn't let up until the very end. It held me captive throughout my time with it, luckily I had nothing else to do on the day I started it!
All in all, another winner from the great man himself. Really looking forward to book four. My thanks go to the Publisher and Netgalley for the chance to read this book.

I love the William Warwick series and this one continues with the story with its usual ingredients : fantastic courtroom drama, glamour, the art world and the inner workings of the specialist team at Scotland Yard.

Jeffrey Archer pulls it out of the bag every time and leaves you wanting more! I’m already wondering when we’ll get the next installment!!

Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.

A fast paced story very much in Jeffrey Archer's normal style. I would recognise it on page one as he has a distinctive style of writing. It progresses along similar lines to his other books and is part of a series.
It is great holiday reading as usual and moves along quickly.
it follows the nest phase in Willian Warwick's career and the reader does really want hime to succeed. The villains are nailed and the police are successful as we are lead to expect.
I enjoyed and recommend it.

Another tale in the William Warwick series of dastardly deeds in the usual exciting style of the author. Drug dealing, bent coppers and the seeming death of a previous opponent after his escape from prison all feature in the latest episode. Two tense court cases are beautifully described with Warwick’s father and sister appearing for the Crown versus an unscrupulous barrister. There are plenty of twists and turns with a sudden murder in the mix all building to the finish we expect with a question for the next episode.

Thanks Netgalley and the Publisher. I really like this author and have read all his other books. I enjoyed this, liked the characters and the storyline but have to say it wasn't his best.

Turn A Blind Eye is the third book in the William Warwick books from the excellent penmanship of Jeffrey Archer. William has been promoted to Detective Inspector and has been persuaded not to tender his resignation following Miles Faulkner escaping custody after being charged with art fraud. William is now charged with investigating corruption within the force particularly after Lamont, a senior officer, takes early retirement following a drugs bust and subsequent forthcoming trial of Assem Rashidi. It would appear that Lamont was not the only corrupt officer in the force and William goes undercover to expose another officer, Summers, the Met believes he is involved and on “the take”. The story continues on from the drugs bust named Trojan Horse, the premise of the second book Hidden in Plain Sight. A thoroughly good plot with many twists and turns, fast paced, the writing flows along brilliantly. The characters are well depicted and the story is well developed. Many thanks to NetGalley and publishers Pan Macmillan for this ARC in return for my honest review

What a brilliant read! This series gets better and better as all the characters grow and become like old friends to the reader. Jeffrey Archer is a writer at the top of his game, to call this a compulsive page turner would be to undersell it! William is a well thought out character, you can't help being on his side, even when he dithers. The Hawk is the paternal authority figure that we all root for, on his side is the place to be. The villains in this series are also two dimensional, which is a treat in this genre. Thanks to the author, the publisher and netgalley for allowing me to read this great book ahead of publication. I have loved this series from the first book and eagerly await the next instalment.

William Warwick is back and at his best!
He is working undercover following Detective Jerry Summers, who seems to be living a very extravagant lifestyle for a Detective. However, a member of is team seems to be having a personal relationship with Summers.
There is also a drugs baron on trial with the prosecution being led by William's sister and father.
The closer William gets to the truth it seems there is more corruption going on and will he get to the truth.
Another cracking instalment in the story of William Warwick!

Jeffrey Archer has done it again. He has written another fantastic story in the William Warwick series. I do not want this series to end, I felt the same with the Clifton Chronicles as well, and was devastated when it did. Jeffrey is truly the greatest story teller of our time, and I desperately await the next in the series and am counting the days, to see if William will catch his nemesis in the end.

The 3rd instalment of the brilliant William Warwick series
While on the one hand we follow up where we left off with the arrest and subsequent trial of Assem Rashidi with William’s father and sister appearing for the crown, William, now a Detective Inspector, is involved in a new squad exposing corruption at the heart of the Metropolitan Police Force. A brilliant plot that sees William go undercover and gets all the more complicated when one of his team becomes personally involved with her mark. Will she be tempted to ‘turn a blind eye’?
Meanwhile, Beth, now a mother to twins, is again involved with Christina a lady who has no such qualms about turning a blind eye, even to those that apparently are no longer with us!

Another cracking good read from this master storyteller

Just brilliant.
This is the third William Warwick book. Now Detective inspector him and his team go undercover to catch a rogue copper. One of the team gets personally involved and jeopardises the case. Will they get there man?
Miles Faulkner, Christina and Rashidi feature in this gripping detective series.
There are lots of twists and surprises, there is never a dull moment in a Jeffrey Archer novel.
Booth Watson is still as irrating and is up against Sir Julian (William's father) and Grace in a couple of court cases
Thanks to Netgalley and Pan Macmillan for the ARC.

Another Jeffrey Archer fast moving and intriguing detective novel feature Sergeant William Warwick, soon to promoted to Detective Inspector . After a disappointing trial of a drug baron Warwick is asked to go under cover and uncover corruption within the force. As usual there are twists and turns and it leaves the reader eagerly anticipating the next novel in the adventures of William Warwick

Jeffrey Archer's books never disappoint. I always enjoy his series because they have so many clever and unexpected twists and turns. This book is the third in the William Warwick series. It was quite a while since I read the last one and a lot of the plot follows on. There are also many characters that have already been developed in the earlier books, so I would recommend reading the whole series to make the most of this. Archer has left the plot well poised for another book in the series, and my only frustration is that I will have to wait so long to find out what happens next.

Highly recommended! 4.5 stars rounded up to 5.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read a free early copy of Turn and Blind Eye in exchange for an honest review.

I am a fan of Jeffrey Archers style of writing. I find it very easy to become lost in the plot which moves along very quickly, The downside is that the minor characters are insubstantial and even the major ones lack depth. However, the writing style flows and the twists and turns are dotted throughout the book. Having read previous works featuring D I Warwick I found it easy to pick up the plot again.
I throughly enjoyed being transported back to the late 1980, s and look forward to reading more about the newly promoted Warwick.

This is the 3rd instalment of the William Warwick saga, this time with him newly promoted to Detective Inspector, in an anti corruption unit. The focus of the unit is on DS Jerry Summers, an officer who has numerous commendations but seems to live well above his means. He’s also a bit free with throwaway remarks about his own type of justice, and plays the field with the female officers.

This is a stand-alone read but I’m glad I read the first two books as the background is nice to have. Although the story is a bit predictable, it has enough twists and turns to keep the reader interested . Add to that a nice array of characters, villains and good guys alike, it makes for an enjoyable and easy read. Jeffrey Archer is definitely a master of his craft and I look forward to Williams next outing.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read and review this book.
