I must firstly apologise for the amount of time it has taken me to provide a review of this book, my health was rather bad for quite some time, something that had me in hospital on numerous occasions and simply didnt leave me with the time I once had to do what I love most.

Unfortunately that does mean I have missed the archive date for many of these books, so It would feel unjust throwing any review together without being able to pay attention to each novel properly.

However, I am now back to reading as before and look forward to sharing my honest reviews as always going forward. I thank you f0r the patience and understanding throughout x

A steamy revenge story set in beautiful tropical surroundings. I certainly liked the twist as long held impressions and ideas are turned around so that love eventually wins.

When Eleanor first met Jace she was swept away by his charisma and good looks but when she walks in on a conversation where she overhears what he really thinks of her she runs and doesn't look back. Jace was only after one thing to steal her heart and then steal her family hotel that her grandfather had stole from his family years before.
Time passes and Jace realises that he just cant get Eleanor out of his head, but this time before they come face to face again Eleanor prepares herself and is a different woman from the one Jace knew before, she is stronger and knows what he really thinks, but as time passes she begins to realise that her Greek tragedy could really turn into her greek happy ever after.

I really enjoyed this hot romance between Eleanor abs Jace. Based around a family feud, the sizzling romance laced with revenge was sensual and a little angsty at times. There were some genuinely moving moments. It would be great to see a follow up with Eleanor’s sister and Jace’s friend.

Love, betrayal and a family feud
Eleanor’s grandfather left her his business when he died which included a hotel in Greece. Jace has been told that her grandfather conned his father out his half of the hotel. Marrying Eleanor is the only way he has any chance of regaining his birthright
I liked Eleanor, she is a strong, smart, capable woman who has vulnerabilities making her so much more real. She wants to do what is best for her family, even if that means she ends up married to Jace, it’s just a business deal, right?
Jace comes across as ruthless and willing to do anything to get the hotel back but as the book develops so does his character. He becomes more human with a complex story which explains why he doesn’t trust or believe in love, why he is so ruthless but at the same time it’s possible to see how he changes when his beliefs are challenged making him into a much more loveable character
Jace is so caught up in the past that it dominates his story and colours everything that happens making the story more challenging to read but then something happens that makes you forgive him and fall in love with him again. They both develop so much throughout the story and by the end they feel so real and that had me addicted to this book
I would recommend this book to those who enjoy a romance that challenges you but which will also captivate you and totally pull you in (plus some fabulous characters)

Wow! This is the first Mills and Boon books I have read in a long while! Who knew that they were so steamy!
A quick easy read with thoroughly enjoyable settings that were a delight to read.
The characters were easy to feel empathy for and was all in all a pleasant read.

This passionate romantic story has echoes Greek tragedy. Jace is driven to revenge his father's death after Eleanor's grandfather's betrayal. Eleanor discovers Jace's plans and runs, but one year on, her hotel is on the brink of bankruptcy, and Jace is the only way out.

There is undeniable chemistry between innocent Eleanor and Jace, which she thought was love. As they get to know each other, their growing emotional commitment deepens into love. Eleanor is a strong woman who values family and loyalty, something she shares with Jace. She understands his motives, and when he shares his past, she forgives him. Jace is a sexy but troubled man driven by revenge. His attraction and admiration of Eleanor let him learn to trust and realise he deserves to be happy.

This is a lovely sensual romance with likeable characters.

I received an ARC from Netgalley and Mills and Boon in exchange for an honest review.

This is a rather sweet and playful stroy with rather less angst than often occurs in Mills and Boon land. However, I really enjoyed this story of revenge gone wrong, and of betrayal transformed to one of redemption through love. Eleanor was a fabulous heroine and Jace a fascinating hero. The author created a believable premise which played out in an entertaining way. Eleanor was much stronger than she first appeared and Jace was far less of a jerk than he might first have presented as. Very enjoyable and entertaining. 4 stars.

Eleanor Buchanan was supposed to marry Jace Zagorakis a year ago, but broke off the engagement when she overheard him saying that he was only marrying her to regain control of her hotel which his father had been swindled out of by hers. Now she must accept his second proposal or lose the luxury hotel as her brother, who was in charge of it, has run up massive gambling debts and failed to pay the bills.
An interesting read. Jace needs a wife to convince his dying mother that he is settled and happy whilst Eleanor needs his money to save the family hotel. Jace is inexplicably hurt that she professes to no longer love him but slowly the ice cold facade breaks down. Will the sins of their fathers prevent lust becoming love?

I enjoyed this book. Nothing groundbreaking interns of plot line but the characters are likeable and I read it in one sitting.

An highly enjoyable, well-written romance with a back story of family feuds and a promise of revenge. The story is well-plotted and has strong characters, including a heroine in Eleanor who you will really root for as she struggles to move on from the feelings of betrayal brought about by her initial meeting with Jace, to almost accepting that agreeing to his terms is the only thing that can save the family business. It is entertaining and has depth and a level of emotion that draws the reader into the fate of the characters. Yet another strong offering from Chantelle Shaw.

Loved it. Shed a few years, read on last my bedtime to read the details of the happy ever after. Modern, bit of a twist, and a heroine that you respect and egg on. Finally a heroine with a brain who gets to use it, there are flaws there, and a messed up family - but don’t we all. Well worth starting this book, although beware as it is hard to put down till you find out how it all turns out.

The sins of the father and grandfather, the retribution through the granddaughters business inheritance.

What a tangled web we weave when we dare to deceive. Whether it's our conscience, or our emotions, love will win through.

Priorities that were once so important, pale into insignificance when the heart and true love is involved.

With a happy ever after ending in this romantic story of love, commitment, marriage and future happiness.
