I really didn't know what to expect going into this book. I found Sophie Heawood on Twitter and love her articles, but had no clue what to expect from a book about her own life. Within pages, I had become hooked. Sophie's writing is honest, inviting and effortlessly hilarious. This combination of traits worked together to make the book feel accessible and digestible throughout, despite the fact that it didn't shy away from some deeper, more complicated topics.
The book covers Sophie's journey from living in LA and finding that she's 'unable' to have children...to living in London with her very own child. With stunning vulnerability, honesty and an overriding sense of optimism, Sophie lets her readers into intimate corners of her life and had me laughing aloud throughout!
I thoroughly enjoyed this book and will be recommending it to others. I'm already excited to read more from Sophie in the future!
