this was a great read, we always are warned about artificial intelligence and this was done so well. I enjoyed what I read and look forward to more from the author.

I desperately wanted to give this more than 2 stars, as the premise is really really interesting but unfortunately, whilst I appreciate this is a slow burner, the writing was lacking in places. We had far too many instances of telling us instead of showing us and the dialogue felt jarring. Making AI sentient is always a great story hook, with us all comparing to Asimov when new stories come out, but there was nothing here that made it unique.
Not terrible, but not my cup of tea. Sorry
