This was an easy paced and heartwarming read.
Lucy and Will meet on holiday in the Caribbean. Both have stretched the truth about their life a little , thinking they will never see each other again
There are misunderstandings aplenty when they discover they will be working together on a joint project.
This was an enjoyable read and ends with a happy ever after.

This was a fun read. It was fun and funny and i had a lot of fun reading it. The characters were well written, Lucy and Will had great chemistry and it was fun to fake it til you make it.

I have to admit that when I first started reading this book I wasn’t sure if I was going to like it or not. I can’t say too much without giving away a pretty big spoiler though. It’s not a bad thing really either, just something I don’t like in the books I read usually. I was so glad that I carried on with this one though because I ended up loving it.

Lily and Will are great characters who meet each other on a fantastic holiday in the Caribbean. They’ve been through a lot and want to escape, which is exactly what they do. They agree to leave it as a holiday fling and go off home (alone) when the holiday ends. It was really funny to see the situations that Lily and Will ended up in after the holiday and although a but unbelievable sometimes, a fun and different setting.

I really enjoyed this one in the end!

I really loved the premise of the book and when I read it here, I quickly jumped at the opportunity to read and review it. But as soon as I started reading it, I found the language to be too casual for my taste.
I didn't like the protagonists and couldn't finish the book. It might be a great fit for someone else.

Great book by Tracy Corbett. This is the first novel I have read by her. I look forward to exploring more. Great start she created Likeable characters. Reinvention and white lies- what could go wrong Lily.

A light-hearted sweet summer reading romance. I felt invested in the main characters, especially the emotional journey Lily went through to becoming more confident and discovering who she was. I liked the fact it didn't happen overnight and she still struggled with her inner demons. Easy to read- read in one night.

When I read the synopsis, I thought it's gonna be really interesting to read. But then I learned the actual thing the both MCs lie about and it seemed really stupid to me. Because the things they were lying about seem really common situations and nothing to be embarrassed or ashamed of. So why did you start the base of your relationship on a lie again? I would've consider the situation if their life were really complicated or a convenient situation. But their situation? Well, not really. I get it that both lost someone close to them which must be painful but it was nothing to be lie about. I could never trust a person if he/she lie about his/her child. Ugh!

An awesome romantic holiday romance! It's especially nice to read during COVID times because I felt totally implanted on vacation with them, which was nice. It made me smile throughout and was a feel good book - I loved it!

If you would enjoy a cheesy, cozy romance novels, then this book might be for you all.

What will happen when two people meet on a vacation and then lie one another about their selves? Well, Lily lost her grandparents and then goes to Caribbean for the vacation. Will Taylor who is a single father also goes for a vacation to Caribbean. The two meet each other and then fell in love and then when the vacation is over, they go on their separate ways back in England. Now here's the white lie--Lily told Will that she was a costume designer when in fact she is working in a clothing factory. Will told Lily that he was not married. So when back in England when Lily gets a job in Will's production company, things start to turn uphill.

First of all, I love the book cover so five stars for the beautiful cute cover! But the plot line...I didn't really like it. I feel like I was watching some soap opera Hallmark holiday movie where boy meets girl, fall in love, then fall out and then again get back together. The writing was good and I didn't very much like some of the characters like Will. Overall, the book was unrealistic and a bit predictable as you know that is what is going to happen in the end that it will be actually happily ever after.

Overall, I rate this book as three stars--thank you Netgalley and the publisher for giving me the ARC. The review is based on my honest opinion only.

A romantic story, boy meets girl and have a holiday romance. Neither are completely honest with the other which becomes a problem later in the book. Light reading and mostly enjoyable, though at times it stretches credibility. Some of the characters are too two dimensional , the daughter was inconsistent, at times coming across much younger thann her years(I would expect an 11 year old to know that it was the Carribean and not the carbon) which I found a little irritating .
A good read for on holiday , it does not need to be thought about too much and follows the usual relationships ups and downs formula

This was an extremely lovely light-hearted read, filled with secrets, drama and a wonderful group of characters. I felt completely whisked away to both the Carribean and Winsdor, Tracy's description being well written and entertaining.

This was a great light rom-com. During the first bit, I thought it was all too predictable and I was worried I would have to skim the book to just get to the end. About a quarter of the way through, things switched around and the book became a lot more interesting. The settings in Windsor and the Caribbean added a fun backdrop to a story of finding love after tragedy, presenting different versions of yourself, and good lighthearted fun.

I was not expecting to love this book as much as I did, but I read it in one sitting- I could not put it down. I yelled at Will and Lily, I cheered for them, I felt for both of them. I find it rare to see such well-rounded characters in women's fiction, but they both feel like very real people. And the setting of Windsor is absolutely perfect!

I really enjoyed reading this, good strong characters, and very well written. 4 stars

The premise of this book had me really excited to read this book, but the deliverance fell short.
Lilith Monroe, was a shy factory-worker, who meets Will Taylor on a much needed Caribbean holiday. Determined to leave the real world behind, both put on a different holiday personality and have a whirlwind romance. As the holiday comes to a close, both must return to their own realities that are lacking something. Will they ever meet each other again?
When a set of circumstances and mishaps bring them back together to complete the filming of the Royal Windsor Festival. Will the withholding of information and white lies catch up to them or will their holiday romance turn into something real?
These characters lacked development and growth. They both had their reasons for presenting another persona during their holiday, but it became very frustrating as they continued to hold onto those lies as they worked together on the production of the Royal Windsor Festival. I especially did not like Will Taylor and how he went about wanting a relationship with Lilith but did not share the fact he had a child and was a widow. He took away her choice of making an informed decision and led to unnecessary drama and miscommunication at the end of the book. The writing and pacing made it drag in some places. The HEA was predictable and lack excitement. Overall, this book would be an enjoyable read during a weekend and or trip to the beach. I would like to read more books by this author in the future.

As usual in my reviews, I will not rehash the plot (there are enough reviews like that out there).

This was a fun, light read, with a bit more depth to it than I expected as it dealt with some sad subjects as well as the fun stuff. Parts of the plot were not terribly believable to be honest, but that doesn't matter in fiction does it? :-)

The characters and their interactions were well written, and I liked the main character "Lily", whose accident-prone character was very believable as she reminded me of myself in my younger days! Poppy was a sweetheart and deserved a nice outcome to her story. My opinion of Will veered between like and dislike - he was a bit of a hypocrite (as he hadn't been entirely honest either!)

Overall the book is uplifting and fun, and would be a great holiday read. I'd happily read other novels by this author.

This is a clean romance with mistaken identities and some fun and laughter, although this definitely wasn't a quick read for me. I wanted to really love this book, but for the most part for me it kinda fell flat and therefore it took me a while to get around to finishing it.

For the most part, I liked the story of Lillith "Lily" Monroe and Will Taylor - both had been through some traumatic losses and both needed to take a break from reality when they meet and are thrown together while on vacation in the Caribbean. The beginning part of the story focuses on them finding each other and coming together as what they each want to be in the Caribbean, while the rest of the story brings them back to reality in England. This vacation part of the book was the best part for me - this part flew by quickly as I loved reading about how they fell in love with each other while being who they wanted to be, not who they actually are. But back in England fate throws them together again, only this time they both have to deal with their real situations and not what they said they were when they met on vacation. I really wish both of them had the courage to tell the other what was really going on rather than letting the lies build up until it imploded on them - it got very hard to see how they treated each other as virtual strangers (even though that's really what they were). However, I was happy with how it all ended up working out, so in the end there is a HEA.

I'm glad I got to read this, as it was fun to see a little bit of behind the scenes of filming at Windsor Castle, and I loved some of the supporting characters (like Poppy and Megan) - they brought some fun and laughter to the book.

Will Taylor, 34, is the father of 11-year-old Poppy. His wife, Sara, died many years ago and he feels he could never marry again, even though Poppy asks for a new mummy all the time. He does all he can to care for Poppy with occasional help from his parents. Will is the head of TaylorMade Events and his sister, Gemma, is the Financial Director. Poppy will be attending a 2-week camp soon so this is the perfect time for Will to get away.

When Lily and Will meet up, they begin to join in all of the activities at the resort resulting in some fun and some funny things finally leading to a love affair. Will tells her what he does but doesn’t mention Poppy. Lily tells him that she is a costume designer. At the end of 2 weeks, Lily decides they should go their own ways.

Some months later, Lily gets a job offer as a costume designer for a period film at Windsor Castle. Knowing she is a fraud, she accepts anyway for the chance to prove herself. It's Will’s company running the event and he suggested her because she said she was a costume designer. Oops! Can she pull this off?

Follows is a series of successes and failures that keeps Lily and Will at each other’s throats. Can they just get through this and go their separate ways again?

This is a really cute story filled with lots of funny and serious things that happen involving Will and Lily. Poppy is a really cute character and Megan is also a treasure. Come enjoy this time with these two stubborn people. I loved it.

Review:

This was the typical trope of a clumsy girl that falls into the arms of a handsome man. This occurs a few times in the book which had me rolling my eyes. I hate this trope. Almost always it does nothing to contribute in a positive way and usually just gets under my skin. Why do girls always have to be portrayed as klutzy in order to have a guy interested and how does that make them appealing to men? Really?!

Luckily, it got better. I really enjoyed that Lily finally caught a break. Her life had been hard and she deserved it. I love that Lily is so talented and she is finally getting to put those skills to use. I enjoyed watching her grow into a more powerful character albeit somewhat fast and forced at times.

Will seems like a good dad while at the same time sounding like one that puts his daughter off onto everyone else. I’m not sure I really liked him. He seemed more of an ass than the romantic ideal. Although, that did make him seem more real than the majority of books out there that have men in such a perfect role that real men could never compete. That is the only thing that I actually find appealing about him.

It was a quick read that I enjoyed enough for what it was. My favorite parts were those scenes with Megan or Poppy and those with the designs in them.

Once I got past the klutzy girl crap, I could find some enjoyment in this book. I think their romance was less of a romance than this book was meaning to be. The arguments are not romantic fuel but rather made me wonder why this is considered a romance.

If you like the clumsy girl trope in your rom-com and think that arguments are a great relationship then this book is a must read. Otherwise, I would say there are so many books out there that you won’t be hurting if you pass on it.
