A very useful guide for maneuvering your way (or in my case a friend's way) through a cancer diagnosis and the hurdles that inevitably follow. Full of useful, relevant, topical advice, thank you.

"Cancer Gifts" is part memoir and part roadmap. In this book, two-time cancer survivor Linda Kopec shares her story and helpful tips for patients and caregivers. The book includes messages from her family and caregivers, who were all part of her support team.
The "Bell Ringer" sections were very enlightening. They offer real-world advice to make a cancer journey easier for everyone.
Unfortunately, there's more telling than showing so the book reads more like a calendar than a story. I didn't really connect with the author as a person but appreciate her experiences.

This is a memoir about the lessons learned on a cancer journey. It was a nice story. The journey through multiple diagnosis and the ideas learned on the way and some insight into the Doctors who helped. It was written very simply and was a very fast read. There wasn't much insight into the specifics of the diagnosis and treatments, it focused more on the author's thought journey and healing. I did enjoy the colors of treatment and flowers the daughter showered upon the author.
