Ten years ago Alex broke Tara’s heart. Now she is about to come face to face with the man who destroyed her life. As they trek through the jungles of Costa Rica in search of a cure for a sick child, can Tara forgive him for the way he used her before carelessly tossing her to the wayside to chase his dreams?

Enjoyable and entertaining. This was a great read.

This was a well written story. I like that we can read about her life in her twenties and then on her thirties. Love Costa Rica!!

I am a great fan of Karen Swan’s work, and I was very excited to read her new novel. It was as wonderful as I’ve come to expect from this talented writer. A beautiful and extremely romantic novel, focusing on a brave young woman on her quest to save a child, while also finding love.

Love Karen Swan's books and this is no exception. Tara thought she had everything she wanted. Training as a doctor and the love of her life Alex.. Then she discovered the Alex had betrayed her.

This book is in two parts. Tara in her twenties and then in her thirties. How her path crosses with Alex Carter and their destiny becomes entwined in Costa Rica. Green issues relevant to today mixed with the heritage of a country. A good read. Thank you to Netgalley and the publishers for letting me review this book.

This fascinating novel is set not only in the familiar surroundings of London but also in the dense rainforest of Costa Rica. Being the daughter of a billionaire is not as easy or simple as we may imagine, specially when our heroine, Tara, is hardworking ICU consultant. She travels to Costa Rica with her boyfriend, her brother and her closest friend and family, for some much needed R and R before facing an ex who treated her badly ten years ago. However things don't go quite to plan and she finds herself deep in the rainforest. The descriptions of her time in the jungle are so detailed and real that I started itching with imaginary insect bites! This is more than a novel, it's an experience.
