This was a lovely book. It was nice that the author uses life experiences as examples to fortify her words. I really liked that the author gave examples of prayers and sections of the bible asking you to write them in your own words. It was a nice easy read that you can really connect with. It never felt like I was been told what to do or how to worship God which is very important to me. It was very well written. I loved how she explains the differences in worship. That everyone is different and nobody is wrong in the way they worship. It was just a wonderful gentle guide that really helped me. It made me feel like I was not alone in the way I worship God. I definitely recommend reading this book.

So much praise goes out to the author and publishers for bringing us this wonderful and easy to connect with book.

This is a good little companion for scripture study. It is fairly concise, but provides some nice additions, like insights, scriptures, and quotes.

Courageous Joy by (in)courage was an enjoyable book. I only read a few days, but I felt I got the overall thoughts on the book. I did not want to wait weeks and weeks to write a review for this.

I found the readings interesting. I connected with many of them and felt like they were written just for me. I liked many of the questions and exercises posed. After the readings, I think the exercises were my favourite. I found they made the reading sink in better and made me have deeper thoughts on them. The guided prayers were okay. In general, they are not my thing, and I prefer to pray what is on my heart. They are nice on occasion though.

Like I said initially, I spot read through this. I really enjoyed what was written and found it encouraging. I know some reviews have said they felt it was Biblically off. I did not find that on the days I read it and so for now I am choosing to disagree with those statements.

I really enjoyed this, and I would suggest giving it a try. I have ordered a physical copy as has one of my small groups. We are going to add it to our daily readings and discuss. I am excited about that. When I get my physical copy I think it will be well loved, written in, and highlighted in.

I received an eARC from Revell through NetGalley. All opinions are 100% my own.

I really love this devotional/bible study. It is not to short for a real devotional, not to long for a mom. It is packed with practical advice, Bible reading, questions to meditate on and a prayer

I received this book from the publisher through Netgalley for review and all thoughts and opinions are my own.
This is a standard style of devotional with scripture references to look up, a short devotional reading by various authors, reflection questions and a simple prayer. I noticed some refer to well known trusted speakers and others to less reputable writers and self help style leaders, so would recommend caution in reading. I won't be using this personally for study.
