I thought this book was a super adorable, super fun read! I really liked Fletcher and Saidy more and more throughout the book, especially when I learned why Fletcher was being so neglectful and as Saidy grew and started standing up for herself! I loved hearing about her interior design business and her grandmother. There was definitely some drama, a meddling friend, and lots of danger, but that made it even more fun! I highly recommend this book when you’re looking for a feel good, light hearted, happily ever after read!

Ok, so I loved this story! It was SO FUN, had great twists and turns that wee unexpected. So manyfunny moments and clever dialogue that was so fun to read and only solidified my goal to now read every other book Carina Taylor has written. This was my second read by this author and it most definitely will not be my last!

his was a super fun read surrounding an interior Designer named Saidy and her “worst boyfriend ever” named Fletcher. This book is the 3rd installment in the Fake it Series but can be read as a standalone! (which I did haha). Before I get on to the full review, I’d first like to thank the author and Net Galley for the chance to read and review this book ✨

anyways,, onto the full review! This story was different from a lot of the romcoms I have read in the past and the two main characters started out together. However as the book progressed, dates are missed and Fletcher seems to prioritize his work. Saidy gets fed up with this and enters Fletch into a “worlds worst boyfriend” completion. However the book isn’t just told in Saidy’s point of view, the reader realizes why Fletcher seems to be this way and it’s definitely an interesting surprise 👀 overall this book was a cute, light read and I thoroughly enjoyed it! This story had a ton of laughs and a few twists thrown it! I definitely recommend this book for those in the mood for a quick escape!☀️

Feeling neglected and wanting more pushes Saidy to dump her boyfriend knowing she deserves more. Or at least that's what she thought. Little does she realize that Fletcher had more to offer but what now? A funny and sometimes accurate look at relationships that show what's missing and what's right under your nose.

This book is described as a romantic comedy adventure and that is such a perfect description. Although I loved the teasing, argumentative banter between the two main characters Saidy and Fletcher and their love story, this book was so much more than a typical rom-com. The story had mystery, action, adventure and little bit of danger too. Told in alternating perspectives - we get to know both characters better and understand why exactly Fletcher may or may not be the worlds worst boyfriend. I loved this witty, funny, clever and unique rom-com and I’ll definitely be recommending it to friends.

Saidy and Fletcher have been dating for four months. Saidy gets fed up with Fletcher after constantly ditching her when they have plans and not answering her phone calls. But he makes time to dump his dirty laundry off at her house. When her frustration level reaches an all-time high, she enters Fletcher in a World's Worst Boyfriend contest and wins.

I'm glad we got both POV. When we learn why Fletcher is so flaky, everything makes sense. But he isn't able to tell Saidy the truth which causes problems in their relationship.

This was a romantic comedy with an element of suspense. I really enjoyed the author's writing. After a while, I wished for more positive scenes between Saidy and Fletcher. Although it does turn out that way, I felt like it should have happened sooner.

Overall this was a light and entertaining read. It was a cute, clean rom-com.

Such an amazing and unbelievable read. If you thing from the cover and the title of the book that it's just another contemporary romance then you are so wrong as this book is so much more.

I LOVED THIS BOOK! It’s a witty, fun, romantic comedy - and the world needs more of those!

Saidy is easily the most relatable heroine. She’s nice to a fault, honest and giving. She’s justly fed up with a boyfriend who seems to put her last, and takes action.
After entering him in the „World’s Worst boyfriend“ competition (and winning), Saidy knows that she needs to move on, and breaks up with Fletcher. Too bad she can’t stop thinking about him, can’t stop comparing every other man to him.

But Fletcher is not giving up on their love. He keeps showing up to fix things in Saidy’s apartment, saying he will explain. And you know what: Fletcher DOES have a very, VERY, good reason for his actions, but cannot tell Saidy the truth yet, because he needs to protect her. You’ll have to read the book to find out what that is though!

Apart from this ADORABLE couple, I also loved that the book focuses on the trope of second-chance romance. We all love our HEA, but that’s hardly realistic. And who hasn’t had a moment in their partnership, where the relationship was falling apart, and you need to see if it’s going to last, or if you have to move on. Kudos to the author for handling such a difficult trope with sensitivity, humor and lightheartedness!

Saidy has had enough of Fletcher standing her up on dates and ignoring her calls and texts. In addition to his dirty laundry that keeps showing up in her home, she feels she's the only one putting any effort in the relationship. When she enters Fletcher in a podcast contest for world's worst boyfriend and wins, it solidifies her decision to break up with him and start the healing process of her broken heart.

But Fletcher doesn't seem to get the memo that things are over as he continues to show up and fix little things here and there, making Saidy more confused than ever. When she meets a good looking stranger who shows interest in her, will she be able to finally close the door on Fletcher for good?

Told from dual POV's, even though Fletcher has been forgetful, tired, and works long hours, you feel the love he has for her. Despite the breakup he hasn't given up hope that Saidy will take him back. Although Saidy is trying to navigate being solo and focusing on her career, she can't shut off her love for Fletcher. This book is a fun, lighthearted read and I look forward to reading more from this author.

This was a cute, easy read. I liked the build-up and suspense... but then felt let down a bit. I expected a little more excitement than what happened. I did like the two main characters, even if I found them annoying at times. Again, I thought this was a good, easy read, but it wasn’t groundbreaking either. Perfect for a sunny day read or a beach read.

Everything Saidy believes about her boyfriend Fletcher is a lie. When she learns the truth about why he's the World's Worst Boyfriend, will she forgive him?

I expected this book to be a light romantic comedy. In fact, it's a darkly comic romantic suspense. This book might appeal to fans of "Agnes and the Hitman" by Jennifer Crusie and Bob Mayer.

Saidy and Fletcher are dating. While there are times when Fletcher can be an amazing boyfriend, there are other times when he is, like the title suggests, the world's worst boyfriend. Standing up Saidy for dinner. Ignoring phone calls. Taking work calls whenever they are together. Backing out on plans last minute. The list continues. One of Saidy's favorite podcasts has a contest where listeners are invited to share their worst boyfriend stories. Saidy submits her stories about Fletcher, and she ends up winning. Unfortunately, this leads her to the realization that she needs to dump Fletcher. The World's Worst Boyfriend was a quick and entertaining read. It was easy to read and the story flowed along nicely. At first, Fletcher does come off like a huge jerk, but the reader does sympathize with him when the reason he is so flaky is revealed. I wish he could have told Saidy why he was being so flaky, but of course, he can't. This was the perfect read for me to read in between a couple of heavier books. Thank you to the publisher for giving me a chance to read an early copy.

Get ready for an entertaining, laugh out loud read from the delightful Carina Taylor that will remind us all that everything is not as it seems and, perhaps, we should look deeper into a situation before making snap judgments.

Oh my goodness was this a fun read!! I loved the double POV that went between Saidy and Fletcher that made the story so entertaining. It begins with Saidy feeling quite frustrated at being once again stood up for a date. Fletcher is such a good boyfriend but cannot seem to make time for her lately. Clearly, something needs to change but what should that be? After an argument that leaves Saidy more frustrated and angry than ever, she enters Fletcher into a contest for "World's Worst Boyfriend" held by her favorite podcaster. No one will ever know that she did it so why not take out a little of her frustration in a discreet way? But there is more going on that Saidy ever dreamed and when everything finally comes out, she discovers just how awesome Fletcher really is and how far he has gone to protect her from his real work. I don't want to spoil anything from the story so I'm just going to leave that summary there. I do want to mention that Fletcher is one the most entertaining male leads I've read in a while and his snarky sense of humor is adorable. I didn't like how he was always putting Saidy second but could understand his reasons to a point. I really think he should have told her everything sooner so she wouldn't have been so frustrated and hurt by his neglect. Saidy was a marvelous character too that did quite a bit of growing throughout the story. She learned to stand up for herself and make others see that who she is and what her career is are both worthwhile. Her confrontation with Fletcher and then with her overopinionated grandmother were excellent passages and I loved that she spoke with conviction but also with grace. She didn't scream and shout and deride; she logically pointed out the problems and insisted on being taken seriously. My two favorite scenes are when she defiantly went to The Bar and then when she had to help Fletcher after he's injured. The sharp wit of those scenes was incredible and I loved how they played out. I will most certainly be recommending this story to others in the hope they will enjoy it as much as I did. The only warning I might attach to this story is that there is some mild cursing but it's very infrequent and didn't take away from my enjoyment of the story. Very well done, Ms. Taylor!! Looking forward to what you've got coming next!!

She now has to figure out what her life will look like with out the man she thought she would spend the rest of her life with. Fletcher is devastated and we start to learn why he hasn’t been the best boyfriend lately. Trying to win her back, a story of mystery and comedy come together to mold Saidy and Fletchers relationship.

I LOVED THIS BOOK! I started it Friday night and ate it up. I had this book finished by Saturday morning and loved every minute of it. I have recently trying to expand into different genres of books and my new found love is thrillers and rom coms. This book is both! I loved Saidy as a character and found it hilarious that the author used her personal experience (in the dedication) to help develop Saidy and how she meets Fletcher. I also loved Saidys family, mostly Glamma and her evil dog. I thought this was hilarious.

I did wish there was more thriller in this book, especially at the end but I had to remind myself that it is a ROM COM – not a thriller. It just has enough of a mystery to keep you guessing. I did not realize this was the third book in the series, although it looks like there are different stories in each book so you could start with this one and you would be ok.

Overall, loved this book. Highly recommend and this would be a perfect book to get you out of a slump!

This books started off a bit slow for me but I'm very glad I stuck with it until the end.

The book follows Saidy and Fletcher's relationship, it is written mainly in Saidy's perspective but somewhat still from Fletcher's side.

I loved getting to know them more through the book and it wasn't your usual romance novel. I loved the thrill aspect in the book.

I couldn't put World's Worst Boyfriend down! This is the first book I've read by this author, but apparently this book is the third in the Fake It series (but can be read on its own).

Saidy and Fletcher have been dating for about 4 months, but it seems like the relationship is one sided. Saidy feels like she is the only one putting in any effort, but that effort is going unnoticed. Fletcher is distant, missing dates, and forgetting important details. After feeling frustrated over his actions, Saidy jokingly enters him into a podcast's contest for the World's Worst boyfriend...and spoiler alert: she wins a big trophy for Fletcher's shortcomings.

Fletcher may not be who he seems (which is definitely a good thing), and we eventually learn more about where he has been...but right as Saidy breaks up with him for not being invested in their relationship. Although Fletcher is busy and has a lot of pressure on his shoulders, he continues to show up at Saidy's house and other places to show he still cares. Eventually, the truth comes out and the couple realizes they both had room to grow in the relationship.

It was unique to have both Saidy and Fletcher's perspectives throughout the book! Carina Taylor does a great job balancing the novel with the dual perspectives, and this element added to the characterization of Saidy and Fletcher. I felt like I had such a good insight into both of their personalities, which is why I loved both characters. There were some funny moments, and the pace of World's Worst Boyfriend made it a fun, quick read. I definitely recommend for your next beach trip or if you need a cute pick-me-up book to get you out of a reading slump!

World’s Worst Boyfriend is the third in the Fake It series, but it can be read as a standalone. It is a very light-hearted romantic comedy that is a nice escape and provides some entertaining twists as everything is not as it initially seems. The title immediately made me chuckle as there are days I swear my own boyfriend would quality, just like I am sure I would qualify for the girlfriend version on other days. The title and concept is very relatable, especially when some couples have been quarantined together with stay at home orders during the pandemic and I am sure there are many couples (not even limited to straight couples) where you would love to nominate your significant other for this award – and feel like you would win.

Saidy is an interior designer/decorator who has been dating Fletcher, an IT professional, for four months. They each fell for each other almost immediately and greatly love each other. The initial part of the story focuses on Saidy, so the reader can see why she believes Fletcher qualifies for the prize of Worst Boyfriend. There are forgotten dates, he is not present as his work takes priority, and he is a flake. It becomes apparent that maybe it is best for Saidy to move on. The only part I did not agree with is that the podcast that hosted the contest told its listeners that they should always come first. While in most cases this could be true, I personally would not want to be put as a priority if it means that something important is dropped for my sake. If the words aren’t taken at face value and instead it means that the communication makes you a priority, then I agree. If something important comes up and I am pushed to the side, then it is fine as long as there was communication to explain. Every person/character is different and can interpret the idea in their way, so it was interesting to see how Saidy wanted to be the priority in Fletcher’s life where he could answer every call, if needed, show up to every date, etc. If this is what she wanted, then I could not fault her for it.

The chapters then change to Fletcher’s point of view and the grand reasoning for his behavior all comes to light. It call becomes clear to the reader why he would be the worst and you start to root for him because you now have an understanding. As the chapters rotate between the two characters, the reader finds themselves caught between the characters as you can easily see both sides of the argument. These two characters were ones that could not let go and it was difficult for them to move on. Instead, they pined for the other while Fletcher kept trying to win Saidy back and show that he could change while trying to reveal the reasons he was “bad” in the first place. In most situations, I would find it annoying that neither even attempted to move on, but, given the situation that caused the breakup and the secrets behind it, I did not mind it. I found myself rooting for the two of them to get back together and to finally open up for everything to come out in the open.

The story develops very well as it sets the stage with Fletcher and Saidy’s relationship and all of the problems that would win her the award. It then goes in to the truth about Fletcher, so the reader starts to see his reasons. It navigates to Saidy’s decision to break-up with Fletcher because those around her confirm that maybe Fletcher isn’t for her, even though she is not sure she is 100% ready to give up. The story moves on to both of them trying to balance between their want to get back together, but their hesitations. Add in a huge mystery twist element that is revealed to the reader very early on, then you have a very entertaining tale that progresses well from start to finish. It is not the story that I expected once Fletcher’s secret comes out, but I enjoyed how everything was tied together.

I am not quite sure about the laundry aspect as I am not sure Fletcher’s secret made up his reason for Saidy to do his laundry for him, but I was pleasantly surprised how this second chance romance turned out. I loved the reason for Fletcher’s behavior in the relationship as I went into this expecting it to be just his personality and he would reform. The addition of the secrets for it was a fun twist. I did not find myself finding a huge amount of depth in the characters as they were semi-surface level. However, I felt that they fit the story and the author focused on the mystery elements that was the actual cause of the break-up and possible reasons for any reconciliation. I love that there is also a look into friendships with Saidy’s friends Andrea and Zoe and what it actually means to be a true friend. I loved the dive into long-term friendships do not always mean that they should be forever if the friendship is no longer working for one or both. It was another fun surprise that I was not expecting in this novel. In any relationship, trust and communication are keys as it should never be just one-sided. This main lesson is covered in more than one way in this story. In one word, this story would be described as fun. The story is light-hearted with characters that are entertaining and a story that is amusing. This is my first read by Carina Taylor, but I do not believe it will be my last!

This book was a light heart fun read about what really makes the world worst boyfriend.
Saidy and Fletcher have been dating for 4 months. During that time, Fletcher seems to becoming more distant and seems to treat Saidy as a housemaid rather than a girlfriend. Fletcher is messy and brings his dirty clothes to Saidy's house in order for her to wash his clothes. He forgets dinners with her family and does not answer her texts for days. After one too many cancelled dinners, Saidy decides she has had enough and breaks up with Fletcher. Fletcher is not willing to let Saidy end their relationship that easy and promises to share with her the reasons for his distance if she will just be a little more patience.
What drew me to this book was the premise of the story. It was fun and unique. The writing felt a little bland. There was not really a lot of backstory for our characters, but that might have been to the recentness of their dating relationship. Saidy seemed allow other to influence her, which caused her to not always make the best decisions. I was glad to see her grow into her own ideas and make her own decision. Fletcher had really good resons for his actions towards Saidy and I found myself understanding them as they were revealed throughout the story. He was such a sweetheart and really loved Saidy! The chemistry between the characters did not seem to have hardly any attraction and/or pull towards each other. The big plot reveal and Saidy's reaction was a little anti-climatic! She seemed to just accept it and moved on to the "everything is okay now" attitude. The ending had me satisfied and happy for our main characters. Overall, this was a fun read for the beach or a cozy weekend in. I would like to read more books by this author!

This book was amazing! I read it in one sitting, it’s so beautifully written and targets a different angle of relationships that aren’t really mentioned.

I loved the fact that Saidy’s last name is Perez, it’s a family name so I felt more connected to her. But the thing I loved most that she discovered throughout the book was that just because what you want to do isn’t what others approved of (family, friends, loved ones, strangers) it doesn’t mean that your life is going in the wrong direction. While they may have your best interests at heart, ultimately it is you who is living the life, so make the decisions that best fit your needs, wants, and goals.

I started off hating men, as the title of the book eludes too, but the plot twist early on in the book really put things in perspective (read: I squealed with giddiness knowing Fletcher wasn’t an absolute asshole). I loved how the relationship was already established and it showed their growth as individuals and a couple, it really sets the book apart and gives another perspective from other romance novels. Their love and dynamic was soo cute, and I loved Saidy’s relationship with her parents and the variety of friends she has, although friendship breakups suck, she grew in that area too.

Overall, READ THIS BOOK! You need it in your life.

An adorable & laugh-out-loud romcom that will warm your heart.

🏆Sadie, an Interior Designer is dating Fletcher, an IT guy for four months now. But lately it seems that she's being taken for granted & being back in the burner in this relationship.
Fletcher keeps canceling on their plans, he barely talking to her, he leaves his dirty laundry at her house, keeps dissappearing,he's not at all answering to her texts/ calls when she needs him the most.
So Sadie decides that it's time to break up with him & move on(even though her heart doesn't want to) but not before entering him in 'World's Worst Boyfriend' contest.

🏆Spoiler alert 📢: Fletcher is an undercover cop, who's pretending to be an IT guy. He's working his ass off on a recent case that requires his full attention. He loves Sadie with all his heart but is not able to give her enough time & attention or tell her the truth risking his cover.

This book is a breathe of fresh air. I loved so many things in this.
🏆The fact that the characters were already in a relationship from the beginning was a very nice way telling their story.
🏆The meet-cute flashback with Sadie running after the mailman had me chuckling so hard.
🏆Even after their break up, I loved how protective Fletcher was of her, he kept an close eye on her the entire time.
🏆The mystery part of the book had me hooked completely.
🏆I was truly thankful to discover Fletcher's undercover job so fast in the novel, which had me rooting for him the entire time.
🏆AND THE EPILOGUE! Damn I can't wait for the day when Sadie finally takes down the trophy to find the ring.
