The only thing I didnt like about this was unfortunately the writing style. I really enjoyed the characters and the plot but the way it was written really took me out of the story.

I read this, start to finish, in one day, so it must've been pretty good!

Saidy thought it was love at first sight, but over the past four months, her boyfriend has grown so distant, forgetful, and secretive that she's starting to believe he's been using her. In a moment of frustration, she enters him into a contest as the World's Worst Boyfriend—and wins. Her worst fears are confirmed: she's been a doormat for Fletcher and she deserves better. But there are two sides to every story, and Fletcher telling Saidy the truth about the demands of his job would risk too much. When she's fed up and completely without answers, she ends their relationship... but Fletcher isn't done loving her yet.

This premise is incredibly romantic, really. I love that at first it seems like every downside to their relationship is Fletcher's fault, but it's actually quite balanced. They both have played some part in the deterioration of their relationship, and they're adult enough to embrace it (after the anger somewhat subsides). Everyone acted rationally under the circumstances and literally no one—no one—had a moment that made me think, "Ugh, why are they being so stupid about this?" Saidy came close, but didn't quite get there. I think she was being incredibly patient and understanding, considering the circumstances.

There's something so frustratingly sweet about how much Fletcher loves Saidy, but can't do much to prove it. In this way, Carina Taylor does something lovely and explores the idea of how people can love each other. Showing affection doesn't always mean roses, diamonds, and expensive dinners; instead, it can mean fixing the ice machine or changing the light bulbs in the kitchen. It's a wonderful thing that isn't always explored in rom-coms.

I didn't really find it funny, but it was sweet. I found myself smiling while reading quite a few times, which is lovely. I didn't laugh, though, and I can't remember any lines that caught me as humorous. (This is unusual for me because, frankly, I laugh a lot.) Not to say that it's not entertaining—it absolutely is—it just doesn't fall into that "laugh out loud" category of rom-com for me. I lean heavily toward silly/outlandish/irreverent/sarcastic humor, though, so what struck me as unfunny may be the opposite for someone else.

Regardless, if you're looking for a book to make you smile your face off, pick this one up.

This book was fun and lighthearted with a really sweet central romance. I loved the characters and would pick up this author again!

After finishing Crooked Kingdom, I needed something to lift my spirits. What better to do that than a nice, light rom-com? Saidy has the World’s Worst Boyfriend. No, really. She even has the trophy and $500 gift card to prove it. After four months of Fletcher becoming more and more distant every day, Saidy Perez has finally had enough. She enters him into a competition for the World’s Worst Boyfriend hosted by the podcast she’s found herself listening to regularly. It’s really no surprise when she wins even if it’s not the best competition to be parading around a trophy for. However, there’s more to Fletcher than meets the eye. Is he really the World’s Worst Boyfriend or is there more to the story?

Let me just say, I had so much fun with this book. It was everything I needed. I loved both Saidy and Fletcher, even when they were both being absolutely ridiculous. This book is the perfect definition of a romantic comedy adventure. We are on this journey from the alternating POVs of Saidy and Fletcher so we know what the truth is immediately, even when the other doesn’t. With something new at every turn, you never get bored.

What I really loved here was that the story made sense and progressed easily. I was flying through this book like no tomorrow, hoping there would be more at every swipe of my finger (I read it as an e-book). Pacing? Perfect. Main characters? Loved them. This was as much a story about a relationship as it was about self-discovery. Saidy learns a lot about herself and the friends she keeps closing while simultaneously figuring things out with Fletcher. Her realizations about toxic friends and how she lets others influence her own thoughts/actions are things that I think everyone can relate to.

Despite how terrible Fletcher seemed to Saidy, when she actually left him (or tried to, at least), he never stopped fighting for her. And one of my favorite lines in those “fighting for her moments” is this one:

“Because no matter if you think we’re done, I’m not done loving you.”

First of all, that is so cute. It reminds me of that scene in Vampire Diaries where Damon and Elena are fighting and he says, “Well stop loving me,” and she says, “I can’t!” I know y’all know which scene I’m talking about, don’t leave me hanging here. Anyway, that line emits the same amount of head-over-heels desperate-in-love energy and I am absolutely here for it. I was especially soaking it up post Crooked Kingdom heartbreak.

If you are into romantic comedies that’ll take you for a ride, World’s Worst Boyfriend is the one for you. I received an e-ARC of this book from NetGalley so, while it isn’t out just yet, don’t fret because you won’t have to wait long! It’s set to hit shelves on April 20th! Overall, I give it 4 out of 5 stars.

I'm a sucker for a cute romantic comedy and Saidy and Fletcher are just adorable! The World's Worst Boyfriend follows Saidy and Fletcher's relationship as Saidy slowly begins to feel second fiddle to Fletcher's new IT startup company. What Saidy doesn't realize is that Fletcher is hiding something from Saidy and telling her what he's hiding could cause more damage to their relationship than his forgetfulness.

World's Worst Boyfriend is a quick, comedic read and its told from both Saidy's and Fletcher's POV. Telling the story from both POVs allows the reader to better understand what is going on in their relationship and moves the story along. This is definitely a recommendable and enjoyable read.

This was cute! I like that Saidy and Fletcher were already in love and that the story was about them learning more about each other and working though their problems so they could stay together.
Certain parts were a little frustrating, but overall this was a quick and enjoyable read.

Romance with a splash of mystery? Yes, please!

To think that I thought that this was your average-joe romance novel! I was so very wrong and so glad to be wrong because I enjoyed every second of this book! It is so well written and you just get lost in the story and want to keep reading and reading it, saying "one more chapter, one more chapter" throughout the entire thing.

I love the idea of this story, I can't even talk about the best parts without spoiling it, but take my word for it, it's really good and so much fun to read. You'll fall in love with the characters and their relationship and you'll end up rooting for them the entire time!! The book also touches on toxic relationships and how we sometimes listen to others more than we listen to ourselves which I think is a great reminder for anyone wanting to pursue anything in life.

Love this book and I'm sure you will too!

World's Worst Boyfriend more like world's funnest, playful relationship story. The story had just the right amount of emotions which made this a really fun read for me. Happy all through, no complaints here.

I absolutely loved this book! Completely fell in love with the 2 main characters, they were both very relatable & interesting. The storyline is captivating from the moment you open the book. I enjoyed how it is written from the perspective of both leads in alternative chapters. I will be recommending this book to everyone i know!

World’s Worst Boyfriend by Carina Taylor a five-star read that brings the best out of the worst. This was my first by this author, but it will not be the last as I adored the writing style, it was funny, compassionate, witty and smooth. This is number three in the Fake it series but I haven’t read the first two and didn’t feel lost at all, I will be picking them up as I loved this one. Man, there have been many a man I would have loved to have entered into this contest and Fletcher really does seem to deserve it, until you scratch beneath the surface and see the real reasons why he is at that time such a terrible boyfriend. I loved how he did not give up, he kept fixing and that just made me adore him in all of his dirty laundry. This will make you smile and make you care; it is a great read, and I will certainly be checking the first two out as well as the rest of this authors work.

This cute romance takes several twists and turns I wasn’t expecting. Even when we find out why the titular World’s Worst Boyfriend is acting the way he does, I still thought the novel would go one way and was surprised a couple of times when it didn’t. The novel starts out when the H and h are already dating and in love with each other. So we don’t really get to see what attracted them to each other besides their looks. As the tale goes on, we can start to see what there is to like about each character.

There is a lot of suspension of disbelief, but then it’s a romance novel so you just have to roll with all the coincidences and slightly unbelievable aspects of how a mailman would behave or the resources that this little town’s police department might have to throw at a months-long investigation.

Saidy is frustrated. Her boyfriend Fletcher has taken a turn in the boyfriend department. Those sweet moments and shared connections they shared at the beginning of their relationship are now being overshadowed with forgotten dates, dirty laundry, and flaky excuses. The title of World's Worst Boyfriend comes via Saidy's favorite podcast. They are discussing relationships and hold a contest with a prize of a $500 gift card. In a moment of exasperation Saidy nominated Fletcher as the World's Worst Boyfriend... and wins?!

After one-to-many disappointments, Saidy dumps Fletcher. But she's still uncertain if she really is ready to let him go. Fletcher insists that things will be different soon. The reader soon learns what Fletcher is hiding, but Saidy is in the dark.

It's a hard premise to write a story about someone who can win "worst boyfriend" and yet be someone that the reader can still love. I think Carina did a good job with that, but there is still room for improvement. Make the "worst" bits to awful, and you'll hate Fletcher, but you'll also dislike Saidy for putting up with them. In the end I had to wonder about Saidy. The dirty laundry bit was too much of a red flag for me. You do not want to be your flaky boyfriend's laundress for time eternal. These things could have been cleaned up (pun intended) with a decent conversation about boundaries. Like I'm happy to do your laundry on occasion, but please don't just throw filthy sewer clothes on the floor and leave WITHOUT talking to me. I'll end this review before I'm screaming about laundry like a lunatic.

This is the 3rd book in the series, but the first one I've read, and it can be read as a stand-alone.

I liked the characters and the storyline. I like that the H/h have already been dating when the story starts, but things aren't going too well for them. I liked how much Saidy grows throughout the story, and Fletcher too. It kept me glued to the pages and eager to see what would happen next. Overall, a fun and entertaining read.

This book was a quick, fun read. More romance than action, but it still made for a great book. There was a nice level of suspense and I really enjoyed the characters. Definitely worth the read!

This book sounded so charming. I loved the idea of a woman learning to appreciate the boyfriend she had written off and seeing all of the ways he shows he cares. That is not really what this book is about. This is about a woman, Saidy, who justifiably feels that the boyfriend who neglects her while dropping off his dirty laundry for her to do is not a keeper. You are supposed to empathize with Fletcher because he is keeping this big secret from her that supposedly justifies his behavior, But honestly, nope, The way he handled Saidy wanting to break up rubbed me in entirely the wrong way. Meanwhile almost everyone else in Saidy's life is terrible so how is she to know what a healthy relationship looks like? that. Add in some unnecessary flashbacks in the beginning and plot choices that had me shaking my head throughout and we have a book that I honestly am not sure I would have finished it I had not been given a copy in exchange for an honest review.

After being let down again by Fletcher, Saidy enters him in to the World's Worst Boyfriend competition and he wins! but everything is not as it seems, so what will happen when the esecrets are uncovered! A great read which keeps you guessing to see what happens next.

Oh how I love Carina’s writing. This was an adorable rom com that had me giggling and swooning. Their meet cute was fantastic! The storyline was a lot of fun. I love all the predicaments (with Fletcher being an undercover cop) Saidy & Fletcher found themselves in. Read it in one sitting!

The story is told from the alternating viewpoints of Saidy and Fletcher, so the reader knows well before Saidy does that Fletcher is not what Saidy thinks he is. As the action heats up, Saidy must also come to grips with her interfering grandmother and her increasingly one-sided friendship with Zoe. She soon realizes that appearances are deceiving, and that perhaps Fletcher is not the one she needs to kick out of her life. The story is light-hearted, humorous, and entertaining and the characters are engaging. The outcome may not be a surprise to readers, but the book is a fun read with some serious points about trusting your instincts and not letting other people's expectations dictate your actions and decisions. This is an enjoyable light read.

Saidy and Fletcher have been dating for a few months but slowly Fletcher has become more and more distant. He forgets about their dates. He doesn't make time for Saidy. He is constantly getting called off to work and then doesn't answer her calls or text. He even drops his laundry off for her to wash for him. In short, he's not a good boyfriend. So much so that when Saidy hears of a World's Worst Boyfriend contest on a local podcast she listens to, she enters Fletcher. But things aren't always as they seem. In fact, Fletcher has been keeping some really big secrets that just might explain his behavior -- but does it justify all of his crummy boyfriend antics....even the laundry?

This was the first book I have ready by Carina Taylor and I really liked her writing style. This book alternated between Saidy and Fletcher's POVs and I always enjoy when authors do that. You get to experience so much more when you can see both sides of what is happening. The characters were witty and funny and Saidy was such a spitfire. I enjoyed her family and even her crazy "glammy".

What kept me from giving this book a higher rating was it was hard to really connect with the characters or the story early on into the book. I don't know if it is the fact that the book starts with them being on the "outs" so you don't get to see them as a happy couple first, or if it was just how it was written but it took me a while to really connect with the characters and get invested in the story. The second half of this book really picked up for me though. Once things kind of picked up and the story really intensified I got sucked in and had to know what was going to happen. I definitely look forward to reading more from Carina Taylor.
