I really liked the concept of this audiobook and the pacing. I struggled a little with the narration but got over it. Some great recipes and lots of excellent, time saving ideas!

The Batch Lady has saved many busy families from resorting to ready meals and takeaways with her easy-to-follow tips. This book is very easy to follow and contains great recipes for family meals. It's a practical guide to taking the stress out of preparing the family dinner night after night.
10 Meals in 1 Hour is great, as long as you have a large freezer. It helps you to avoid last-minute panics about what's for dinner. I think I would prefer to have it in actual book form rather than an audiobook because pressing pause with sticky fingers is a nuisance, but Suzanne's friendly, down-to-earth tone makes you feel that it's possible to get organised and reclaim your evenings.

This was really useful - like the way that cook along. It really gave me the mojo to start batch cooking again, which I have done so now freezers are full and can relax in the summer.

The recipes were easy to follow and no unusual ingredients.

I was given and advance copy by the publishers and netgalley but the review is entirely my own.

This is a genius way of cooking! I love the idea of being read instructions whilst cooking and it was so easy to follow along to..the audio book was in chronological order and had some great tasting and varied recipes to suit the whole family. The only difficulty was quantities as I didn't have a way of obtaining.the ingredient pdf so wasn't.sure on.some of the quantities.

Thank you to NetGalley, the publisher and Suzanne Mulholland for an ARC in return for an honest review.

I must have been living under a rock now to have heard of Suzanne Mulholland. What a life changing experience it has been, as dramatic as that sounds, it’s true. As the mother of a toddler my time is of the essence. This book has saved me tremendously. I feel I have gained valuable skills in batch cooking and have advised all my friends to read!

This is a brilliant audio book in which Suzanne Mulholland, aka The Batch Lady, guides us through her batch cooking method in a friendly cook-along style.

Suzanne shows us how to save time, money and effort by cooking 2 batches of 5 related recipes in 1 hour, covering poultry, meat, fish and veg main meals. Recipes with similar base ingredients are grouped together, streamlining the whole process. Suzanne explains which steps can be combined for the recipes, and how to use the cooking time to prepare other elements. She also covers practical aspects such as what equipment is needed, how to organise the freezer, and how to defrost and reheat safely.

However I'm a convert. Loved Suzanne's introduction giving us a little info about herself and her lovely Scottish accent was a bonus as well.

**Listened to the audio book**

This is such a brilliant idea. I have never seen a cookbook like this via audiobook before.
I have read Suzanne Mulholland's previous recipe books, and tried some of her recipes - I think she's great. Now with the edition of this audiobook to her collection I love her even more!

It's so good to listen to Mulholland cooking along - it's really easy to follow. It also explains how to reheat/defrost each recipe too - this is something that I think all cookbooks should include!!

The book promises a Q+A with Suzanne at the end - but this was only 3 mins, and she only answers a few questions so I don't think it's a great addition. It should have been longer and more informative if it was going to be advertised as an 'extra'

I definitely recommend this audio book - great simple and affordable ideas - and limits food waste! Great all round!

I love to batch cook and have followed The Batch Lady for quite a while and have bought her book, so this was a great listen.
I enjoyed listening to Suzanne reading it and giving it the personal tough.

I received this title as an audiobook and as amazing as it is, I'm gutted that I didn't have a physical copy because it is brilliant. I mean, they're not lying when they call Mulholland the Mrs Hinch of the batch cooking world. I should point out that I received an advanced copy of this book minus the additional material that future customers will have access to. As a result, I started off at a little of an advantage because I didn't have the recipes and ingredients easily to hand but once I did, I found the book to a superb companion.

Mulholland is quick to point out hygiene rules and tips and I like how she explained her rationale behind the book and her technique before she launches into sharing her secrets.

The book reads like a cross between a podcast and a Saturday kitchen live show. Suzanne is there cooking alongside us, as we work our way through her recipes and batch together. I loved hearing the sizzle of her meat in the background singing in harmony with mine whilst she thought and talked on the spot. It felt very authentic and showed me that her methods are possible. I found her endearing and down to earth with her engaging, conversational manner.

I highly recommend this book for people short on time when it comes to cooking, people that cook solely for themselves on a regular basis, in fact, I recommend this book to anyone that prepares food from scratch. Mulholland has shown us that even lovers of cooking do not have to spend so much time in the kitchen, cooking, washing up and wiping down surfaces, particularly after a year of being cooped up. In her technique, it makes it possible to save time, money and reduce our waste.

I award this book 5/5 stars and look forward to reading further titles that I have already put in orders for.

A very useful, user friendly audiobook.

I enjoyed listening to this audiobook, the author came across as genuine and enthusiastic and I could imagine being there, in her kitchen, cooking the meals alongside her.

The meals were good old family favourites and appeared easy to prepare. It was spaced out well and was easy to pause and start again.

I would recommend this audiobook to anyone wanting to prepared meals in advance.

Many thanks to the author and NetGalley for gifting me this arc in exchange for an honest, unbiased review.

I have just finished listening to The Batch lady's new audio book and it is AWESOME!!!

Ok so this book walks you through 4 menu's each consisting of 10 meals for a family of 4 or 5. There are menus based around mince (the easiest for a beginner), vegetarian, chicken and veg. Sarah is cooking as she goes which only serves to prove that they can be cooked in just an hour and no she didn't sound rushed!!

The cooking is at a fairly leisurely pace, but of course you can pause if you're slightly slower, and Sarah comes across as very friendly, almost like having a friend in the kitchen with you.

When you buy the audio book, there is a pdf with the shopping list, etc. Which I didn't have as part of my arc copy. However the menus are all in the original Batch Lady recipe book which I do have, so that isn't a problem. I highly that book too by the way!!!

Throughout the audio there are lots of hints and tips on saving even more time in the kitchen as well as advice on safely freezing, defrosting and reheating all the meals.

I am a lady living alone, and although these meals would last 3 months if I wanted a variety of mince, chicken and fish meals ready to go, even halving these menus would leave me far to much (and I often finding halving never seems to come out right) so I would love for the Batch Lady to do something for us singletons in the future, maybe?

Verdict - buy the book!!!! Oh and cook obviously or whats the point.

I'm the sort of person who buys food in bulk, always checks the price per unit, and calculates the cost per meal that I get for every weekly shop. My average is about £1 per meal.

So the idea of batch cooking is right up my street. It's also something, strangely, that I've never had time for. I understand that it is supposed to save me time but it seems like a lot of upfront work.

This book is exactly what I was looking for. A quick introduction to the idea of bach cooking with a handful of poultry, meat, fish and vegetable dishes as your mainstay.

I've no idea how it stacks up against other cooking books because cooking books are the one type of book that I hardly ever read.

It remains to be seen whether or not this will revolutionarise my culinary life. But I plan to give batch cooking a shot and now, thanks to this book, I have a good idea what to do.
