Wow!!! This was an amazing read. It was that good that the emotions just overwhelmed me. The emotions, atmosphere and tension in this book was amazing. I had to slow the book down to savour each and every moment. So I read it in small chunks every day. I really didn't want this book to end. The whole of this book is based only on a couple of days. It is one of them stories that really touches you. It will certainly stay with me for many years to come. I was totally drawn into this book by the simplicity of the cover. Funny how it's a simple cover but the power the book holds is ever so powerful. The story is actually very simple but it is so well-developed. It is beautifully written and will definitely take you on a wonderful roller coaster of emotions. I felt each and every word. This book is shocking looking at the awfulness of civil War. It's shocking just how people change. I really can't recommend this book enough. It's going to blow your mind.

Only the highest of praise goes out to the author and publishers for creating such a truly amazing story. I can't wait to read more from this extremely talented author.

Set in the Ukrainian war, the story follows one mans journey to collect his nephew from an orphange and the horrors and violence he see's along the way. An eye opening a count of a war that isn't often remembered in mainstream media. Powerful, interesting and at the same time devastating.
